After dinner, Gale return home.

As soon as he entered, he complained angrily, “Mom, Diana always causes trouble. Can’t we stop her from attending? I feel so embarrassed.”

Paula frowned and asked, “What did she do to embarrass you?”

Gale responded righteously, “She set up my dad!”

Paula let out a cold laugh. “You say she framed your father? Do you have any evidence?”

“Mom…”

“Don’t call me mom. I don’t have a son like you. I’m divorcing your father, and you can go with him. I don’t want you,” Paula said, turning to go upstairs.

Gale was stunned and quickly asked, “Mom, what do you mean? It wasn’t Dad’s fault; he was set up.”

Paula stopped and looked at her furious son, her eyes slightly red. “Gale, you need evidence. What makes you think Diana did it? Just because someone called you and said Diana drugged your father, you believed it?”

Gale was stunned. “Dad called me. He said Diana set him up.”

“Ha…” Paula didn’t say much more. After taking a few steps, she turned to him and said, “You’ll never deserve to be Diana’s brother; you’re only fit to be Queenie’s lapdog.”

Gale’s eyes widened. Was this still the mother he knew? Or had tonight’s events hit his mother too hard?

“Mom, I…”

“I said don’t call me Mom. The company is in crisis, and you won’t even help. A person like you doesn’t deserve to be my son.”

Tears streaming down her face, Paula went upstairs.

Gale was devastated. How had his mother become so

unreasonable? In anger, he turned and left the house.

Upstairs, after washing up, Jeff saw Paula coming up.

Paula glared at him, her eyes filled with rage. “Jeff, put your pants on! Queenie is a woman, and so is Megan. Why are you walking around in just your underwear? Are you crazy?”

Jeff froze. “What?” He looked down, realizing he was only in his underwear. He was momentarily stunned. How could this be?

He was sure he’d been wearing pants when he came out.

“This… Paula, what’s going on? I was wearing pants when I came out.” A flicker of fear crossed Jeff’s eyes. Had he forgotten

Jeff opened the wardrobe and found an inflatable doll along with some unspeakable adult items inside.

Paula patted his shoulder and scolded, “Jeff, what are you screaming about at this hour?”

Jeff was stunned. Had Paula not seen it? Jeff looked again and saw nothing in the wardrobe.

He blinked hard and opened his eyes again. Still, there was nothing.
