Chapter 50 Stepping Stone
Diana heard her phone ringing, and
she sniffled, wiped her tears, and then
answered the call with a smile.
âTobias,â she said with a hint of tears in
her voice.
Tobias said nervously, âWhat happened? Who hurt you? Why are you crying?â
In that moment, Diana just wanted to be
spoiled and comforted by her brother.
She said, âI feel so sad, I want to cry. How did my life become so tragic? I have heartless and ruthless family members,
Chapter 50 Stepping Stone
and I fell in love with a despicable man.
âI want to leave this place. The air here
feels dirty to me, especially when I see
that damn jerk, Steven, with Queenie acting all loveyâdovey. It makes me feel
like the air itself is contaminated.

âHe doesnât deserve to be called a
human. I will make them remember the
cost of their lies.
âBack then, when he had a crippled leg
and lost his sight, Queenie didnât want to marry him. She ran away with another
man to a foreign country.
âI spent a billion dollars, searching for
various precious medical herbs, and

âHis malicious slander⦠Tobias, how
could someone like him enter my life?â
Tobias asked, âDiana, where are you
right now?â
Dianaâs crying had stopped, and she smiled. âI just needed to vent to you. Iâm
fine now. From now on, I only have you
all,â she said with a hint of relief in her
voice.
He replied, âSilly girl, didnât I tell you
before? We are your family. No matter
what grievances you face, you must always inform us as soon as possible.

âDonât shed unnecessary tears for those people. Believe in yourself, because you were already exceptional. You will shine for yourself and others.
âStop crying, okay? I will be back tonight. Tell me what you want for dinner.â Tobiasâ tone was filled with doting affection.
Diana smiled, feeling warmth in her heart. She thought for a moment and said, âBring me a roasted chicken, and bring some shrimp for Olivia. She will be staying with us for a while.â
As Tobias listened to her calmer voice, he let out a sigh of relief.
Chapter 50 Stepping Stone
âAlright! I will buy whatever you want.

You should rest early and take care. I will
probably be home around 6 PM. Donât
be upset because of Steven, that scum
doesnât deserve it,â Tobias assured her
firmly.
âOkay! He doesnât deserve my tears. I
got it!â Diana chuckled and hung up the
phone.
Indeed, crying it out really made her feel
much better.
She took out a tissue and wiped away the tears from her face, gently cleaning
her sticky eyelashes as well.
After taking a deep breath, she felt much
Chapter 50 Stepping Stone more relaxed.

She stood up and leisurely made her way downstairs.
She hoped that by the time she reached
downstairs, there would be no trace of
her tears on her face. That way, Olivia
wouldnât worry about her.
She didnât see Steven standing on the
staircase.
Dianaâs words just now shocked him.
It was true that Diana had saved him
back then.
