Chase chuckled and refilled the beverage for Wilbur. He asked, âHow did you get here? Is Faron not with you?â
âThis is my hometown. I came back to visit my grandpaâs grave. Faron is usually busy, so we donât keep in contact.â Wilbur purposefully made it sound like he and Farom were not close. Their identities were unique, after all.
âOh, I see.â Chase looked like he had a sudden realization. He said, âItâs good that you have time to come back for a visit.â
âBy the way, I heard thereâs a food factory here. Did you come here for that?â asked Wilbur
Chase chuckled upon hearing that. He replied, âI came here specifically for this. I checked the hygiene situation around here in the moming, and Iâm heading to Harvest Food Factory this afternoon.â
Harold fell to the side. He struggled to hold on to a chair to avoid falling over.
Jason also went pale in the face, almost fainting on the spot.
They both knew that the hygiene standards of their factory were not up to par.
Wilbur noticed their reaction, then laughed and said, âYou have to inspect carefully because food safety is not a minor concern.
âOf course. I will inspect thoroughly even if you didnât mention it, Mister Penn.â
Chase knew what Wilbur was indicating. He instantly implied that Wilbur did not need to worry because he was on it.
The waitress served the noodles, and they were ready to dig in
Harold hurriedly threw a look at Jason, which he immediately understood, Jason then tried to escape by sneaking along the comer of the wall.
He had to get to the food factory immediately. They could not hide everything, but at least he could do something
Suddenly, Wilbur yelled, âMister Yates, are you leaving? I remember that you demanded a settlement be made between us.â
Jason went soft in the knees. He fell to the floor and could not stand up.
Wilbur shook his head and sighed, saying, âIt seems like thatâs all youâre capable of TM
Jason did not dare to reply. He tried his best to get up and he ran away.
Wilbur chuckled and said, âRight, Chief Bridgado, let me introduce you. That person just now is the general manager of Harvest Food Factory, and this is his uncle.
Harold plopped to the floor, and he was sweating bullets.
Chase glanced at Harold, then spoke casually, âIs that so? Although an uncle and nephew arenât direct relatives, these situations are still subject to strict investigation by the disciplinary authorities. When I get back, Iâll inform the disciplinary
committer about this.â
Harold rolled his eyes when he beard that, passing out on the spot.
Wilbur shook his head and said, âLook at him. Those with a clear conscience have nothing to fear. The investigation hasnât even begun, and theyâre already this frightened.â
âThey must have a guilty conscience then.â Chase chuckled.
Wilbur also laughed. He gestured to Nancy to eat her bowl of noodles, then he finished his bowl of noodles quickly. He wiped his mouth and said, âChlef Brigado, thanks for the meal. Iâll treat you someday in retur.â
âSure thing âClase seemed very friendly.
Wilbur stood up and asked Nancy, âShall we po?â
âYeah.â Nancy obediently stood up and they said goodbye to Chase. After they walked outside, Nancy felt relieved because all
her troubles were resolved.
She did not need to imagine what would happen to Harold and Jason. Things would not end well for them.
Meanwhile, Reanne suddenly ran toward them. She held his hand and said in a passionate tone, âMy nephew, are you leaving so soon? You havenât visited our house yet. Donât be in such a hurry to leave.â
âWhat are you doing? We have business to attend to.â
Nancy was very annoyed at Reanne, She hated her aunt.
Every word she spoke was filled with selfish intentions. Nancy did not want to speak to her ever again.
