Chapter 297
âSir, itâs this guy. He doesnât know the rules at all.â Someone pointed at Wilbur.
Moose looked at Wilbur and scoffed coldly. He asked, âYou want my help without playing by the rules?â
âMay I ask what exactly you are doing?â asked Wilbur with a smile.
Someone spoke up before Moose could answer, âHeâs helping us gain prosperity. I canât believe you dared to disturb him. Iâm going to beat you up even if he forgives you.â
âOh yeah? How does he help people gain prosperity?â asked Wilbur.
âHe possesses extraordinary abilities and is capable of discerning fates. You should apologize to him immediately,â scolded another person.
Wilbur laughed and said slowly, âHe wonât need to earn money through evil means if heâs really capable. You people are a bunch of fools.â
That instantly caused an outrage. A few of them came up to Wilbur and pointed at him accusingly. They scolded, âHow dare you insult him like that! You better watch it before we throw you out the window!â
âI know you people have money and power. Otherwise, he wouldnât be able to fool you. Iâm sorry to disappoint you, but I can assure you that heâs not as capable as you think.â
There was no way that a spell cultivator who focused on curses could bring prosperity to people.
Wilbur believed that he was able to cast a spell or two to deceive ordinary people. However, bringing prosperity to the people was something Wilbur could not do, let alone Moose Chet.
âIâll immediately order someone to ruin you if you dare to act so arrogantly again,â shouted someone loudly.
Wilbur suddenly stopped smiling and glared at him.
That person instantly felt as though he had fallen into an ice chamber, feeling a chill run down his spine. He could not speak at that moment.
Wilbur took out the necklace and waved it in front of Moose. He asked coldly. âDo you recognize this?â
Moose looked at the necklace, then he looked at Wilbur. He asked slowly, âWhat if I do, and what if I donât?â
âIf you donât recognize it, Iâll beat you until you do. And if you do recognize it, you better remove the curse. I might spare you from punishment if Iâm in a good mood,â said Wilbur coldly.
The people were enraged. They yelled and scolded Wilbur. Someone said, âSir, donât be angry. Iâll tell my bodyguard to get rid of him right away.â
âYes, ruin him. Heâs too arrogant.â
âYou ignorant fool! How dare you speak to him like that? You must be punished.â
They all started to scold Wilbur
Moose waved it off and said, âI do recognize this necklace. The curse is my doing, but why should I break. it for you?â
âBecause youâre hurting the innocent,â replied Wilbur coldly.
Moose smiled slightly and said, âI just took someoneâs money to help them get rid of a crisis.â
Chapter
âDiminishing oneâs luck and causing misfortune to another. Can you really call that getting rid of a crisis?â demanded Wilbur.
Moose rolled his eyes at him and yelled angrily, âI didnât stoop to your level, but youâve become even more unreasonable. It seems like I need to teach you a lesson.â
âOh yeah? Iâd like to know what that lesson is.â Wilbur sheered.
Someone chimed in, âSir, beat him up. This guy is outrageous.â
âYeah! Kick his ass. Show him what youâre made of.â Everyone started to yell for Moose to beat up Wilbur.
Wilbur frowned and asked, âHow did he manage to deceive all of you? How could you believe him so blindly?â
âHe knows what heâs doing. He is blessed with the presence of auspicious clouds and the ability to retrieve objects out of nowhere. He makes miracles. Doesnât that prove his capabilities?â
âDo you have those capabilities, kid?â
âYouâre young and you donât know your place.â
They were obviously very angry at Wilbur while admiring Moose.
Wilber shook his head and sighed.
