Sherry cackled to herself at the uproar that she had just caused. If this loopt going, she might just become one of the internetâs biggest stars.
Wouldnât she he swimming in money then?
Wilbur left the hospital and drove home, only to see Elsa and Faron were also there talking to Faye in the living room.
âWhat are you guys doing here?â Wilbur asked.
Faron smiled. âWeâre all worried for you, bro. I heard things are getting worse and worse.â
âIt canât be that bad. Youâre worrying for nothing.â
Wilbur sat down, and Faye handed him a cup of tea. âHow did the talk go?â
âThe kidâs out of her mind. She insisted sheâd done nothing wrong, and said I was threatening her,â Wilbur said.
Faye sighed. âI knew that was going to happen. Kids these days donât think about the consequences of their actions.â
Just then, Elsa said, âDonât worry. Weâve pa**ed the damaged camera to the IT department, and theyâre working on restoring the footage in the memory card. Iâm sure the footage should be available in no time, and the rumors will be put to rest.â
Wilbur nudded. The best thing that could happen now was the footage being restored.
âAlso, the authorities are going to head to the hospital tomorrow to interrogate Sherry. If she ends up taking full responsibility, the hate might die down a 11le too, Elsa said.
Wilbur frowned. âWhat if she still insists that Iâm in the wrong and claim that sheâs being threatened?â
âDonât worry about that. Onâsite has checked out the scene, and itâs pretty much been proven that Sherryâs lying. Itâs only because sheâs still hospitalized that the authorities canât get a statement from her. Even if she refuses to admit sheâs lying, she wonât be able to argue against the evidence,â Elsa said.
Wilbur nodded. âThatâs good, I guess. Weâll just wait a few days for the truth to come outâ
Just then, Faye said, âWilbur, I just got news that the netizens know you live in Castlebury now. Iâm worried some of them. might hara** usâ
Wilbur frowned at the words.
He did not really mind, but Faye was a woman and the CEO of Cape International. Nothing good could come out of this.
Faron said, âSherry Divos has really gone too far! Hro, should I get someone to teach her a lesson?
âCome on, sheâs a lod. Donât scare her like that!â Wilbur said.
Faron chuckled. âSheâs clearly in the wrong here, mind you.â
Wilbur responded darkly. âForget it. Iâve been wanting to move to Sealale Island for a while, anyway. Itâs nicer, and much better for several people to live there. Shall we move tonight?â
âTonight?â Faye asked.
Wilbur nodded. âItâs quieter there. Weâll have better peace of mind.â
âSure! Iâd like to live there too. Iâm sure itâll be nirer there,â Faye said with a smile.
They got to work at once, packing a few suitcases, and headed for Sealake Island
Faye called for someone in the company to move everything else in the house over to the island the next day.
Around ten oâclock at night, the four of them arrived at Sealake Island. They lit up at the sight of room number one
The view from the unit was breathtaking, and it was no less comfortable than any fiveâstar hotel.
Lindner 209
âF*cking hell, it sure is nice here. Can I get a room here too, bro?â Faron could not help but exclaim.
Wilbur chuckled. âTake your pick. Weâve got plenty of rooms here, anyways,â
âI want one too,â Elsa piped up.
âSure, go ahead,â Wilbur said.
Yet Faronâs expression darkened at once. âWhat right do you have to live here?â
âWhy canât I? Elsa shot right back.
Faron sneered. âYouâre an officer. Itâs not right for you to live here.
âAre you looking to get beaten up? Iâll rip you a new one right now! Elsa retallated.
