Itâs the creatureâs scale!
Zhong Yue was shocked, he thought, How did the scale break off? A scale this strong can only have an even stronger owner, so what could break the scales off from it?
As he thought, he was suddenly overjoyed and he quickly rushed toward the scale, Whatever, that has nothing to with me. This scale is definitely something good, not to mention its power, just its ability to be able to reflect my flaws and weaknesses will be able to help me greatly. This is the best treasure for me to improve myself.
The sun storm shot the scale out at a great speed, but the Sui Tree wasnât slow either. It moved like a fish swimming in water as it sped increasingly faster toward the scale.
It was hard to get in but much easier to get out. It only took half a day for the Sui Tree to exit the sun and enter space with the creatureâs broken scale.
Zhong Yueâs Yuan Shen returned back to normal and the Sui Tree turned back to its usual size, but the scale remained the same.
This scale, was it not compressed by the immense pressure inside the sun?
Zhong Yueâs breath hastened, he controlled the Sui Tree and rushed to the back of the scale, he yelled loudly and countless totem patterns formed into a fire hand that clenched onto the scale.
Slipââ
The huge fire hand fell on the scale and the scale slipped across his hand like water sliding down a piece of smooth glass.
The scale was incredibly smooth, nothing seemed to be able to stick its surface. Everything would slide away regardless what it was.
If anything will slide over the scale, doesnât that mean not a single skill can attack affect it?
Zhong Yue was stunned, he mumbled, âHow does one even hold onto such a treasure?â
What terrified him even more was the implication that the creature covered in these scales would be effectively invincible.
This was the first time he ever encountered such a peculiar existence, it presumed that it must be some ancient figure.
Zhong Yue cast the Sui Tree and extended its branches out to curl around the scale, but they couldnât even hold grasp onto the scale.
Zhong Yue was thus left with no choice, he took out the copper lamp and prayed in his heart, If even this copper lamp canât do anything to it, then I can only let it goâ¦
Zhong Yue opened the lid and the space in front became distorted. The huge scale along with the godly sunfire was sucked into the copper lamp.
It was at this moment that the Solar Cosmic Rays burst out again, along with a strong wave of Metamagnet Divine Rays, but were sucked into the copper lamp. These Solar Cosmic Rays and Metamagnet Divine Rays were clashing inside along with the scale.
Zhong Yue quickly closed the lamp lid and thought happily, Xin Huoâs copper lamp is still stronger. It seems like this scale wasnât really untouchable at all, or else the copper lamp wouldnât be able to contain it.
The Solar Cosmic Rays, Metamagnet Divine Rays, and the scale clashed for a few moments before settling down soon after. Zhong Yue moved the Sui Tree out from the sun storm and was incredibly happy. He opened the lid and looked down, the Solar Cosmic Rays were compressed into a screen of light that was slowly moving inside the universe-like lamp oil.
The scale was also compressed by the lamp oil inside, but it wasnât compressed as much as the Divine Wing Saber.
Seems like this scale is even better than the Divine Wing Saber.
Zhong Yueâs eyes brightened up, his Yuan Shen returned back to him and he released the scale out from the copper lamp. The large scale hovered in front of him like a huge mirror.
It was then that Zhong Yue found out that this was only half a scale. It would be the creature inside the sun met with something that broke its scale off from its body. But even so, it was still over a few hundred miles wide.
The scale was still as impressive as what he had seen inside the sun, it reflected everything and showed the flaws and weaknesses as well. Zhong Yue looked into the mirror and saw all of the flaws in his mortal body, the incompleteness of the totem patterns, the weaknesses of his Yuan Shen and the minor injuries in his soul.
Xin Huo flew out from Zhong Yueâs psyche ocean and looked curiously at the scale.
From the reflection, Zhong Yue tried to see through Xin Huo but the little flame remained just a little flame. There wasnât anything special about it at all.
It seems like this scale isnât that strong tooâ¦, Zhong Yue was feeling a little let down, First it was captured by the copper lamp and now Xin Huo, who is obviously filled with mysteries, appeared only as a little flame, this scale isnât that marvelous at all.
Xin Huo looked around the mirror and asked curiously, âWhat is this?â
âA scale." Zhong Yue then talked about it to Xin Huo and said, âAs for the owner of the scale, I donât know either. I canât see its true face, the godly light ray that was reflected in its scale blinded me. I had no choice but to leave.â
âThere is blood on the scale." Xin Huo flew over and carefully inspected the blood stain, trying to get something out from it. Moments later, the little flame shook his head, âIâve never encountered such a bloodline before, could it be a new species? Strange ⦠the injuries might not be from the sun core, it must have accidentally gotten in touch with the imperial tomb and was hurt by the tombâs protective system.â
âThe imperial tomb?" Zhong Yueâs interest was piqued. The creature inside the sun was so strong and terrifying, he couldnât wait to see the battle between it and the imperial tomb.
Xin Huo praised, âThis scale is not bad, itâs better than the Divine Wing Saber. Probably wait here for a little longer, more scales might that fly out from the sun.â
Zhong Yue was still in disbelief, he looked closely at the reflected image of Xin Huo in the scale but still couldnât find anything.
âEither itâs Xin Huo that is at a higher level than it, or this scale is not too spectacular." Zhong Yue mumbled unhappily.
The little flame was all proud, he comforted Zhong Yue in a condescending tone, âYoung man, donât blame the mirror, itâs not sh*tty at all. Itâs just me that is on a completely different level to it.â
Xin Huoâs little fire tail was raised high as a triumphant look radiated across his face. The young man looked at the little flame with a pair of dead eyes before lowering his head and mumbling, âIt must be the mirror that is too sh*tty.â
Zhong Yue waited for another few days, the sun seemed to settled down and the sun storm stopped.
âThe sun storm stopped, it seems like that creature didnât want to continue anymore after it was wounded. Xin Huo, letâs go.â
For the past few days, he had been correcting his flaws with the help of the mirror. The flaws in his mortal body were patched up and the totem patterns were greatly enhanced. Even his Yuan Shen was refined once again and the minor wounds in his soul completely healed.
Zhong Yue was now was a lot stronger than him a few days ago, he felt as though he undergone a rebirth.
Zhong Yue kept the scale into his Yuan Shen secret realms, he flew up into the Sui Treeâs crowâs nest and steered the Sui Tree toward the Ancestral Star.
Inside of the crowâs nest, the marvelous energy was slowly reforming the Golden Crow Yuan Shen into the Sun Innate Spirit while the Golden Crow Yuan Shen was cultivated to the True Spirit level.
Although they were all also True Spirits, the Great Sun True Spirits and the True Spirit cultivated by the Qi Practitioners were on a different level. The Great Sun True Spirits were much stronger, they were born within the sun itself and were the result of time and the worship of many living beings.
The True Spirit cultivated by the Qi Practitioners, were in certain aspects, just a mere replica of the Innate True Spirits.
One was genuine and the other was a replica, the differences between them were evident enough.
This was also why the innate spirit bodies were so strong. Through cultivation and the increase in their cultivation base, they would be able to eventually awaken the innate spirits in them.
When Fang Jiange said that the cultivating at the Celestial Gold Star would bring great benefits to him, he was alluding to awakening the Gold Innate Spirit faster. His strength would see a quantum leap after that.
The same reason why Qiu Jinâer gone to the Celestial Wood Star, Fang Jiange to the Celestial Gold Star, and Jun Sixie to the Celestial Water Star.
If Zhong Yue could really transform himself into the genuine Sun Innate Spirit Body, the benefits he could gain would be incredibly huge.
What is that creature inside the sun? Why canât even Xin Huo find out what it is? Why did it come to the sun? What is it planning to doâ¦
Zhong Yue had so many questions popping up in his mind but no one could give him any answers. Left with no choice, Zhong Yue could only let go of these thoughts and inspect the divine weapons with the scale. In the reflection of the scale, these seemingly perfect divine weapons appeared to be filled with flaws, including the Divine Wing Saber.
But what excited Zhong Yue the most was that, through the reflection of the scale, he could clearly see the changes of totem patterns on the Divine Wing Saber.
The totem patterns of the Kun Peng Celestial Race were unlearnable to outsiders. Ever since the time he acquired the Divine Wing Saber, he had never managed to attained any Kun Peng totem patterns from the Divine Wing Saber before.
After being reflected by the scale, the mysteries of the Divine Wing Saberâs totem patterns were then laid bare to him, even its flaws.
This was really quite a fruitful trip, especially the Sui Tree and this scale.
Zhong Yue started attaining the Kun Peng Celestial Raceâs totem patterns, visualizing them and cultivating.
Before he even reached the Ancestral Star, he had already attained the mightiest cultivation technique of the Kun Peng Celestial Race â theãKun Peng Heaven and Earth Artã.
Zhong Yue was siphoning the energy around him and casting the cultivation technique, his arcane energy was increasing at an incredible rate. His heart was immediately filled with joy. The Kun Peng Celestial Race was strong in their speed and strength, no race was able to see through and attain the Kun Peng Celestial Raceâs totem patterns before. but with the help of the mirror, he became the sole exception.
Xin Huo was really right, itâs not the scale that is too sh*tty, but that Xin Huo that is on a level higher than it, Zhong Yue admitted in his heart.
Dozens of days before he reached the Ancestral Star, ten suns descended onto the Ancestral Star from the skies.
On that day, ten suns emerged above the sky and scorched the land below. The Ancestral Star was shocked and suspected that they were omens of an epoch of chaos.
There were even rumors that there was a sun storm, and that the ten descending suns heralded the simultaneous birth of ten Innate Sun Spirit Bodies in the world.
