Lily's P.O.V

School ended a couple minutes ago but Miss Franny had me stay behind a little bit so she can give me the harder book and math problems she promised. I thanked Miss Franny and was about to leave when there was a knock on the door and then it opened. Sy walked in and he looked relieved. "There you are Lily. I was getting worried when I didn't see you at the normal spot." Sy said as I walked over to him.

Sy crouched down and opened up his arms. Smiling, I ran the rest of the way to Sy and wrapped my arms around his neck. Pulling away a little I showed Sy my new book and math problems. "Miss Franny was giving me the harder book and math problems I told you about on Monday. She wants me to do them over spring break." I told him.

"That's right, it slipped my mind. Ready to go home?" Sy asked and I nodded. Before we left Miss Franny said, "I wrote a note on a post-it note explaining this already but I thought I'd tell you now since you're here. Basically for the book there are bigger words so if she gets stuck don't tell her right away. Try sounding it out with her and if after that she still doesn't know then tell her. With the math problems I've added a couple multiplication and division problems. Typically kindergarteners don't see those problems, not until first grade where a teacher will talk about it towards the end of the year. I went over a couple of those harder problems with her during recess to show her how it's done. So that's what you should expect over the break."

Sy thanked Miss Franny and we said bye. Sy grabbed my backpack in one and my hand in the other. As we were walking to his car, Sy asked, "Did you have a good time at school? No one mess with you today?" Ever since Monday, when Jenny hit me, dad and my brothers have been extra protective of me.

Nodding I said, "Nope." We made it Sy's car and Sy helped me into my seat. Once I was strapped in, Sy sat down next to me. Once Sy was strapped in the car started moving. Me and Sy talked the whole way home.

Sylas' P.O.V

The car pulls up to our house and I get out. Walking over to Lily's side I help her out. Grabbing her backpack in one hand and her cute, little hand in the other. When we got to the front door, I enter the code, thumb print, and wait as it scans my eye. Long process just for unlocking the door but when you have a very powerful dad with enemies you can't be too careful, especially when it comes to his kids safety.

Once my eye was scanned the familiar click of the door unlocking sounds and I open the door. Walking inside I see a maid walking by and ask her to take Lily's backpack to her room. She nods and walks off up the stairs. Pulling Lily into the living room I spot dad, Alec, Jay, and Levi sitting on the couches. Jay and Levi were arguing over the remote but stopped once we walked in. "There you guys are. What took you so long?" dad asked me as Lily ran over to him. He picked her up, gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead, and then set her down on his lap.

"Miss Franny was giving Lily the harder work to do over break and explaining what to do. That's why we're late." I told him sitting down next to Alec. Dad nodded in understanding.

"So I've decided for our spring break vacation, we go to the cabin. I know we go there every winter vacation for Christmas, but we haven't been there for spring break or summer for a while." dad told us. I think it's good idea going to the cabin even though we already went there in December. While I like I visiting other places for spring break, sometimes it's just better having a vacation alone with the family away from crowds we'd get if we went somewhere like Miami and stayed in a hotel.

"I'm in." I said and my brothers agreed and we turned to Lily. "How about you Lily? You wanna go to the cabin? You wanna go swimming and fishing?" dad asked her as he bounced her on his lap. Lily squealed and nodded her head. "Then we have it." dad exclaimed standing up with Lily in his arms. "Start packing we leave tomorrow morning."
