The Alpha's Office

The sound of whiskey pouring could be heard from outside the Alpha's office. The Gamma stood hesitant just outside the door after hearing his Alpha gulp the whole thing down in one go. A few seconds later and the act was repeated. His Alpha was a strong man, nothing scared him easily. He had long quit his drinking habits since taking over from the previous Alpha yet here he was. The Alpha paused finally realizing his Gamma was at the door and mind linked him to enter. Even after entering the Gamma bowed then stood quietly waiting since his Alpha seemed once again lost in thought.

Only a few hours ago the council had sent a team of warriors to help protect his pack. A grave threat had arisen against the werewolf race. One that had this Alpha of thirty five years feeling uneasy. As off a few seconds ago the famous execution team had arrived on the island, the head Ethan Hawk wanted to speak personally to him about what he didn't know but he had a really bad feeling about it.

As his Alpha finally looked at him the Gamma spoke, "Alpha he's here."

That one sentence alone had the Alpha tensing before he spoke, "Okay, send him in."

As heavy footsteps approached the Alpha sat up straighter and washed all his worry and uneasiness off his face leaving only a confidence he didn't really feel.

A tall broad frame of 6"4 stepped through his door and into his office. Bright blue eyes stared back at the Alpha as Ethan now stood where the Gamma once was.

Standing up the Alpha bowed, "It's a pleasure to meet you, execution head."

"Likewise, have your Gamma leave I wish to speak to you alone." Ethan spoke motioning to the Gamma who quickly hurried out the room.

"Please sit." The Alpha wave to one of his chairs.

"You already know the situation, it is what we told all Alphas within the Caribbean however there is something else." Ethan spoke.

"I don't think I'm going to like anything you have to say." Alpha interjected.

"Indeed you wouldn't." Ethan agreed before continuing.

"The creature so far have been attacking each pack along the coast however there was a pattern, or more like a trail it's been following." Ethan finished now looking at the Alpha.

"A trail... then you know whose next?" The Alpha questioned as a cold shiver crawled down his spine and the bad feeling worsened.

"Your pack." Ethan spoke confirming the Alpha's worries. He knew Ethan visiting his pack right after the first that was attacked was fishy. Especially when he wanted to speak alone it turned out to be something like this.

"Don't worry, right now my team has joined the protection team the council has sent. We will kill it. You need to start moving your pack to the shelter now." Ethan saw through the Alpha, he knew he was scared and was trying to reassure him.

"What's the rest of the trail?" The Alpha questioned worried.

"After your pack there's only two more, Grenada then Tobago." Ethan spoke knowing full well Emma was waiting in Tobago.

"You don't need any of my warriors?" The Alpha questioned a bit relived that the execution team was staying and confused that they didn't want help.

"Your pack is strong but they do not measure up to council warriors or my team, I suggest you all stay in the shelter while we handle the situation." Ethan spoke firmly, he didn't want any disagreements, this pack was next and he needed to be ready for the creature's arrival.

"Okay, I understand I'll start moving everyone." The Alpha spoke defeated. He would have liked to show his pack's strength but the execution head was right. His pack was no match for them and instead of helping they could make it worst instead.

"But... What if?" The Alpha questioned hesitant.

"What if?" Ethan questioned prompting the Alpha to finish his sentence.

"What if it's too strong? What happens then?" The Alpha questioned, while he didn't want to offend the execution head it was a question he needed answered.

Ethan stared at the Alpha for a few seconds before replying a bit sarcastically.

"What normally happens when there is something the execution team can't kill."

Ethan stated, it was something that all werewolves knew however this Alpha seemed too scared to think straight but Ethan saw pass his brave face. When the Alpha continued staring at him he added.

"Then the right hand will step in."

Instantly the Alpha's eyes snapped up to Ethan in surprise.

"Right hand? The next council head is already chosen?"

"Yes, for a while now. I know him personally so trust me when I say this you have nothing to worry about. Our prince is the strongest werewolf i have ever seen yet, including the current council. He was previously the execution head. If he was here my job would simply be, clean up but he couldn't come here at this moment."

Ethan allowed the information to slip but he took heed to not give out Emma's gender or name. He had long since admired her and when the rare opportunity to talk about her arises he takes it. Not many knows her true gender, she chose the alias Alex because it was misleading.

Among all the higher ups within the werewolf council only some knew her gender, there was an extreme few that actually saw her in person and then the handful that actually knew her personally. He was one of the handful along with four others. Besides the council they were the only ones that knew her true name.

Coming out of his thoughts Ethan looked at the Alpha from across him who since he entered the room was the most relaxed right now.

"Start moving the pack I need to double check the borders." Ethan spoke getting up and walking out the Alpha's office.

Stepping outside the pack house Ethan started walking towards the royal from the protection team placed on the island. Approaching he bowed but soon realized that something was off. Both nobles were together with him rather than protecting the pack's weak spot and other council warriors stood a little further away as the royal got off his cell phone with a grave expression. Coming to a stop in front of Royal Mason, Ethan question.

"What's wrong?"

Mason stopped staring at the floor and looked up. Ethan finally noticed his broken expression and that some of the warriors were actually teary. Like seriously who died?

Taking a depth breathe Mason spoke.

"HQ just called. It didn't follow the trail... It by passed us." Royal Mason spoke softly.

"What? How? Did it know my team was here?" Ethan questioned quickly, with both their teams it shouldn't be too hard too kill it but maybe it sensed that this island was too dangerous.

"Aries thinks it knew this Island was too risky." Mason stated softly.

"Okay so it by passed us that just means we need to move quickly to the next island before it gets there but what exactly did the council members say? Why does everyone look like that?" Ethan questioned.

Sighing Mason looked Ethan in the eyes before speaking.

"You're too late... It already went to Grenada." Mason spoke softly before continuing.

"Royal Xavier is dead. It killed him." Mason finished as a lone tear slipped from his right eye. That explains everything, Xavier was Mason's good friend and with being a Royal he was well respected by the council warriors.

This creature was even strong enough to kill a royal. Digesting that bit of information, Ethan squared his shoulders before speaking to all the council warriors gathered.

"Let's give a moment of silence to Royal Xavier." he spoke causing everyone to bow, after a minute or so everyone was again looking at Ethan.

"That means it's headed to Tobago and straight to it's death. The right hand is there, waiting. It wouldn't be long now, our prince will make sure Royal Xavier like the others did not die in vain."

At his words everyone relaxed a bit and some seemed like they wanted to join Emma in order to avenge the fallen warrior. They all knew the strength of their prince despite most never seeing her in person. They admired her, looked up to her and believed in her. If anyone can kill this creature, she was the only one who could.

Tobago : The Crescent Wolf Pack

Emma POV

"The creature, it's here."

It was finally time, I had to act now or Carter the noble will die. Both Mathew and Carter knew I was different, it was the main reason why the council specifically sent those two rather than any other nobles. They have seen my eyes before, maybe by accident but they swore a oath of silence. They weren't the problem, my mate was. Correction ex mate, he will see my true self. He'll know I'm not a werewolf, especially if he sees my magic or my true form. It doesn't matter now, the werewolf race is at stake my personal issues are nothing to hesitant over even if it was only for a split second.

With that I glimpsed at the man in front me, one who right now wore a desperate yet worried expression. It seems he was scared for my safety after hearing the creature is here. He knew I was going to face it, to bad, it's too late for his concern.

With that thought I turned and literally disappeared in front of their eyes but in fact I was just moving too fast for them to follow. Matthew having seen my true speed before wasn't surprised, Jake however let out a loud gasp.

As I ran at an impossible speed my eyes bled blood red as I let my true nature take over. Ever wondered why my eyes were red despite the fact that I had a soul? It's from my dad's side. My dad had a darkness within him, one that I also gained. While my mother's magic was effective, safer and controlled, I had a feeling it wouldn't be enough for this creature. I had to let the darkness within me surface. It wasn't something I had full control over and hence I have never used it in many years but a reason had presented itself.

I was just a few seconds anyway from the cliff when I heard it. A harsh hissing that somehow seemed grotesque. It sounded like some deformed monster was trying to speak. What the hell was I actually hearing?

I was almost there now as Carter came into view. He was on the floor with someone over him whispering into his ear. I could smell the blood from a good distance away. I was almost in the creature's view when it's next words made me come to a halt. I was too shocked to notice that it had let Carter go as it started towards me in a manner that didn't seem natural. It's back was a bit hunched, it's mouth leaked blood, long tangled hair covered most of it's face but what really caught me was the eyes. It was a perfect copy of my bright blood red.

It continued forward in a slow approach, it seemed like it was being cautious. Meanwhile I stood unseeing for a few seconds connecting the dots. Many thoughts went through my head but the most dominant one was, this creature was indeed looking for something. It combed the Caribbean looking for me but that wasn't even half the reason why I was so shocked. I already had a feeling it was after me but it's the words it was whispering into Carter's ear only a moment ago is what froze me.

"Where is he?... Your Prince? The witches want him."

Flashes of my childhood came back too me. Being probed, monitored, controlled. I was treated like a piece of meat, they bleed me, cut me, even took off limps and vital organs just to watch them grow back. As I grew older my body grew stronger and soon their weapons were the one that broke instead of me. You think this would discourage them, it in fact pleased them, that I was getting stronger. The experiments worsen, instead of exploring it turned into a game. Who can find a way to kill me? Should we take her head off? Maybe her heart? They never found it though. No matter what they did I always survived, sometimes I didn't want to. I wanted to just disappear if that means I wouldn't have to feel this pain. However there wasn't much a powerless child could do.

Suddenly claws sunk deep into my chest as I blinked coming out of my memories. The creature was right in front me as it's hand buried deeper into my chest it hissed out.

"It's you... prince... come the witches wait."

That was my wake up call, I was no longer the powerless little child the witches tortured. I will not let myself be caught by them again. It was then a thought struck me, one that slipped my mind before. This creature was strong enough to penetrate my skin, not even the strongest mental on earth can leave a scratch. Why can it sink it's claws into me so easily? Something wasn't right.

A groaning caught my attention, Carter he needed help now or he would bleed out. Looking the creature into it's eyes I finally noticed it's stare, it seems like it was waiting for me to come with it. Then an idea struck me. If I play along Matthew will get here to help Carter as I could already hear both his and Jake's wolves approaching. The only thing is how do I put distance between the creature and the others?

"Okay, I'll come." I spoke grabbing it's wrist and pulling it claws out of my chest which started regenerating almost instantly, in a few seconds I'll be healed completely. While it penetrated my skin, the wound itself wasn't fatal, just painful. It would take much more to do actual damage.

At my words its eyes shone a brighter red. It would seem it was happy, it must have anticipated a lot more resistance. It was ready for a fight after all.

"Good... let's go."

It spoke dragging me to the cliff's edge, I followed along however as it passed Carter it suddenly stopped and hissed.

"Must kill."

Reaching for him, I quickly realized it was going to break his neck like it did with all others. In that moment Matthew and Jake appeared. Skidding to a halt only a few feet away from the creature and myself and causing the creature to be startled. I took advantage of that. Using one hand I locked both it's hands behind it's back, and ran forward with full speed off the cliff and into the ocean with it, leaving Matthew and Jake on land to care for Carter.

As water surrounded us I let go knowing full well that here I had the advantage. After all one of my gifts was to control nature. We floated only a few feet from each other as I wrapped a bubble of air around my head. Staring at me it's expression changed, I think it now knew I was pretending.

Twisting into and evil vile look it raised both hands as the water surrounding it darken, at first I was confused as to what exactly it was doing until the first blast hit me. A dark tornado of water slammed into my chest so quickly I didn't even see it coming. The impact was so strong that it slammed me into the ocean's floor knocking out my air bubble as I quickly replaced it before it could attack again.

This creature could control water, but how? The answer came just as quickly in the darkness surrounding it. It was using black magic. The witches must have gave it a spelled water talisman. No wonder it traveled through the Caribbean without being found. Water is one of a werewolf's weakness.

Quickly moving to the right I dodged a few more of those black water tornadoes. The first one caught me off guard but that's not happening again. However I have to stop it from attacking completely, it could destroy the island at this rate, but how? Controlling nature was the last gift I discovered. I was no where near it's level. I started to seriously regret my decision. I thought that by bringing it under water I would have the advantage but instead I just dug my own grave.
