Rebecca understood that learning was tiring, but every time she took a break and remembered her supportive family, all her tiredness seemed insignificant.
Time passed day by day, with Rebecca training every day. She would only take a break when the children cried or fussed, taking them from the nanny or Debra to feed and soothe them.
Charlie stayed with Rebecca every day at first, but later, he took up a job and had to go out for filming.
But before Charlie left, he specifically asked Rebeccaâs agent to take good care of her.
His intention was for his sister to learn just enough to get by.
However, Rebecca didnât want to be halfâhearted. Having lived through tough times, she understood how precious days with her familyâs support were. Rebecca knew the resources her family provided were oneâofâaâkind and didnât want to waste them or let her family down.
Shep
proactively asked her agent to be strict with her. Rebecca wasnât afraid of hardship or exhaustion. She just
wanted to do her best.
Rebeccaâs agent, Lynn Fox, was in her forties and had previously managed an awardâwinning actress, a top actor, and two wellâknown young actresses. Lynn was a renowned top agent in the entertainment industry.
Given Lynnâs status, she typically wouldnât take on new talents, especially not someone like Rebecca with no acting background.
The only reason she agreed to be Rebeccaâs agent at the L&K Group was because she owed Charlie a favor. Lynn was willing to manage Rebecca solely to repay that favor.
Lynn initially planned to just look after Rebecca casually for a few years and call the task done.
However, after spending a few days training with Rebecca, Lynn changed her mind.
She could tell that Rebecca was genuinely gifted, as she could pick up most things after just a bit of guidance. Lynn had worked with many artists, but ones with such natural talent were rare.
Most importantly, Rebeccaâs attitude impressed Lynn. Her proactive request for strict training and her willingness to endure hardships made Lynn more optimistic about her potential.
A month passed quickly. The Carter familyâs jewelry store in Maeloria was renovated and ready to open. Rebeccaâs father couldnât wait for her to visit the store.
He was concerned that Rebecca might not know how to arrange things when opening a store in the future, so he strongly insisted she pause her training and learn how to manage everything.

Rebecca couldnât refuse her father, so she politely asked Lynn for a day off.
Lynn readily agreed without any objections, understanding that everyone had pressing issues now and then.
Rebecca had been training continuously for a month without any complaints, working diligently every day, which was more dedicated than most artists.
With a day off, she went to learn with her father. Rebecca spent the entire day learning, and in the evening, she diligently wrote down her notes and locked them in a cabinet.
With the grand opening of Carterâs Jewelâs branch approaching, Rebecca informed her agent, Lynn, about her new role as the brandâs spokesperson.
Lynn was shocked by the news, as it was nearly impossible for a newcomer like Rebecca to be chosen as the spokesperson for such a globally renowned brand.
However, Lynn quickly thought of Charlie.
She wondered, âPerhaps Charlie was the one who got Rebecca this opportunity?â
With that thought in mind, Lynn asked, âIs there a contract? Can I see it?â
After all, she was now Rebeccaâs, or rather, Beckyâs agent.
Rebecca was her real name, but when signing the contract, Charlie had said that she would debut under the stage. name Becky instead of her real name.
âYes,â Rebecca nodded. Afterward, she took out the contract and handed it to Lynn.
Lynn immediately began to review the contract.
Contracts between artists and brands were very important. Some brands assumed that artists didnât understand them, so they included all sorts of unfair terms. Less famous artists could easily fall for these traps and, in case of disputes, might face enormous compensation claims.
But soon, Lynn became numb and thought, âIsnât Beckyâ¦getting a little too much from this contract with Carterâs Jewel? Even if Charlie himself came forward to endorse Carterâs Jewel, it would be hard to get such a contract, right?â
Rebecca noticed that Lynn kept staring at the contract and asked with a hint of confusion, âLynn? Is there something wrong with the contract?â
Lynn immediately shook her head vigorously. âNo. No problem at all.â
If anything, it was that the Carter family was too good to Becky, so much so that Lynn found it unreal.

The next moment, Lynn asked seriously, âCarterâs Jewelâs branch is opening soon. Have you prepared a dress?â
Rebecca shook her head and replied, âNot yet.â
She had been busy training lately, and whenever she took time off, she had to follow her father to learn how to run the company. Rebecca really had no time to get a dress.
Lynn took a deep breath and said, âItâs okay. Iâll arrange it for you. Just rest for the next few days and get yourself ready. Iâll let you know on the day of the opening.â
âThank you, Lynn,â Rebecca said gratefully.
They hadnât told Lynn that Rebecca was the heiress of the Carter family. It wasnât that they didnât trust Lynn, but until Rebecca got the divorce license, she and her mother didnât want to complicate things.
Over at Evergrande Entertainment, Lisa excitedly entered Janetâs dressing room with an invitation in hand. âJanet, I got the invitation to Carterâs Jewelâs branch opening!â
When Janet turned around and saw the red invitation in Lisaâs hand, Janetâs eyes instantly lit up. She excitedly said, âGreat! Now I can finally attend the opening ceremony.â
She handed the invitation to Janet and then whispered, âJanet, I just heard that Carterâs Jewel might be looking
for a spokesperson.â
âA spokesperson?â Janet asked excitedly.
Lisa quickly nodded. âYes. I heard it from someone inside their company. Apparently, itâs coming from the higher- ups. Now, everyone at Carterâs Jewel is talking about how theyâre going to have a spokesperson soon.â
Janet asked cautiously, âHave they decided who will be the spokesperson?â
Lisa was taken aback by the question and shook her head. âIâm not sure. I havenât heard anything about that.â
Janet thoughtfully asked, âHas Carterâs Jewel held any spokesperso
interviews recently?â
âNo,â Lisa replied confidently. She was sure about this because their company kept an eye on all the major brandsâ recruitment of spokespersons. If Carterâs Jewel had announced they were looking for one, their company would
have known.
âCould it be that they havenât chosen anyone yet?â Janet suggested, trying to contain her excitement.
Lisaâs eyes lit up, and she nodded. âIt could be.â

With that, she looked at the invitation in Janetâs hand and said excitedly. âJanet, you should dress up nicely for the opening ceremony and wear more of Carterâs Jewelâs jewelry. Maybe the Carter family will see how good you look in their products and make you their spokesperson.
