*Hmmâ¦*(Dryad)
*Hmmâ¦*(Tree)
The figure standing just outside our Domain is surrounded by withered corpses as far as the eye can see.
*I mean, sheâs gorgeous in an inhuman manner, but doesnât she remind you of those creatures in your memories? The ones with, wings, tails, horns, and smoking hot bodiesâ¦*(Dryad)
*I canât for the life of me remember what they were called. I do remember though that their main method of killing was draining the souls of their victims to feed the insatiable hunger they had.*(Tree)
*You canât really hold that against someone though. Once I have a physical form thatâs very similar to how I feed.*(Dryad)
*Hmmâ¦*(Tree)
*Hmmâ¦*(Dryad)
*What do you think?*(Tree)
*Letâs see if she can communicate. Although, I donât think we should let the creature in her shadow in, heâs creepy.*(Dryad)

I guess I can try normal methods of communication before going exotic.
âHowa! We come in peace!â I say, using the surrounding air in my Domain to mimic speech.
Ehâ¦why is the female creatures staring at me like Iâm an idiot, Iâm not!
I know thatâs the âYouâre an idiot Tree!â stare because Dryad uses it a lotâ¦
âAre you stupid?â the female creature states, while tilting her head to the side.
Gah!
I knew that was the same stare! They even raise their eyebrows in almost the same manner!
âNo! I am not stupid.â I state firmly.
âProve it.â
ââ¦.â
*Can I just kill her? We can always find another one.*(Tree)
*I like her! She reminds me of the older sisterâs in my inherited memories!*(Dryad)
If I could cry tears, I would be doing that right now.
One is bad enough.
Two of Dryad thoughâ¦
I shudder at the potential disasters.
âAre you one of these things?â I ask.
I am rather curious why she can even understand me. Wherever we are it certainly isnât a place that would seem to contain the Celna human language.
âMy name is Vex, Queen of the Souldrinkers. If you ever suggest I share anything with an Outcast I will eat you alive.â Vex says, with cold eyes.
Note to self, do not mention Vex looks like a pretty monster. Outcast. Whatever.
âOk.â
See? Iâm a brilliant master of conversation!
*Move aside and let me talk, before you get us into a war with the first decent creature around!*(Dryad)
I was doing fine.
Until that death threat.
Bah! Whatever, letâs see if you can do any better!
*Moving aside, moving aside, do your best dear!*(Tree)
Dryad uses the same magic I do to manipulate sound in the air, however when she does it the voice sounds like a smoking hot woman.
For some reason I always sound like an elderly grandfatherâ¦
Life is so damn unfair.
âHi! Could you point us in the direction of civilization, a hot shower, and the closest place to start world domination?â Dryad says, in a bubbly cheery voice.
Vex blinks for several moments, before pointing behind her, âWe could start at my Lair.â
What. The. Hell!
Dryad!
I worry sometimes about my other halfâ¦sheâs sometimes much less stable than meâ¦
