Everywhere I go, I smell her perfume,

A whiff of her, a shadow of her,

In the rain-soaked streets, the cafes that are packed,

I catch a scent, a taste, a flashback.

A passing car, a stranger's cologne,

It's like she's everywhere I've been,

Always haunting, always near,

I can't escape her, can't let her go,

Like a ghost that's never gone,

The smell of her lingers on and on,

A reminder of what was and what went wrong,

A phantom that follows me like a song.

I see her face in the mirror,

Feel her in the air I breathe,

Haunting me with a love that's never clearer,

A love that's lost, that I can't appease.
