October, 1943.

Singapore.

The stage was set. The time was ripe. History was ready to take notes.

A gathering of spectators and listeners were prepared for the milestone moment. The Head of State, also the Minster for War and Foreign Affairs stepped to the fore to make a formal public statement, "... In view of the incapacitated state of all national leaders and citizens at home, it is up to the patriotic allegiance of our brothers abroad to carry out the task of establishing a Provisional Government of Free India, namely Azad Hind Sarkar. The Sarkar upholds liberty of religion, equality of rights, uniformity of opportunities, focussing in pursuit of happiness and wellbeing of all citizens of all races, and consequently eradicating the differences amongst us, that has been sown and grown in the young hearts to divide and conquer, by an alien government. ..."

The next four years witnessed the ongoing culmination of human ambition and sacrifice, along with its aftermath as subsiding belligerence and sway of power. The honour of first Prime Minister was held by Subhas Chandra Bose while Jawaharlal Nehru obtained the Presidential post.

A century had passed, since then.
