Yiyoung had a knack for this, and the way she used her skills was phenomenal. She didnât care about the patientâs identity or how important the situation was, and immediately jumped in to help the patient. And if she hadnât done that, the woman would have probably died on the plane.
Muyeol found himself comparing his situation to that of the woman. If he hadnât met Yiyoung⦠Muyeol couldnât imagine himself being alive. He suddenly recalled the diary entry heâd written on the day Yiyoung had dropped out of school.
âIf someone tells me that I can ask for one thing and it would be granted, then I would want to say that I want to live with Shitty Yoon, even for a day. Even if it was a dream, Iâd love to experience living with her. My life would be beautiful with that memory of living with her.â
There was nothing beautiful about his days, until he met Yiyoung. And now, his days started with her and ended with her. That was how heâd been able to live and mature into an adult; he held the desire to achieve something more in life.
âI love you so dearly, Yoon Yiyoung,â thought Muyeol.

The woman suffering from cardiac arrest was able to arrive at the airport safely. There was an ambulance waiting for her, and as soon as the plane landed, she was rushed to the hospital.
Yiyoung calmly exited the plane with Muyeol, with Mr. Hong, Mr. Kang, and Mr. Ko in tow, a look of surprise on their faces.
âIâd only heard about this before. Iâve been on several business trips, but this is my first time seeing something like this,â Mr. Kang said.
Mr. Hong nodded before suddenly looking serious. âDoesnât this seem like a good sign, though? I think it does. Maybe the contract ruined by a certain someone could be saved after performing a proper CPR, too.â
Mr. Kang and Mr. Ko immediately agreed with the chatty Mr. Hong. âOf course. In the medical field, thereâs Mrs. Cha, and as for the business industryââ
But Muyeol interrupted them before they could finish their words. âLetâs stop talking and go.â
âOkayâ¦â they muttered, but their faces were shining with hope. The positive feelings brightened their mood.
Muyeol wrapped an arm around Yiyoungâs waist and calmly asked, âAre you okay?â
It was a mere hour for the others, it wouldnât mean much to them. But what Yiyoung could achieve in that one hour was a lot different than others. For her, it was an hour of striving to save a humanâs life. And Muyeol was worried sheâd fall sick after expending all her energy trying to save that woman.
âIâm fine,â Yiyoung said with a huge smile, âThis is my job anyway.â
âYou talk about it as if itâs nothing, but you went through a serious incident while you were doing your job.â
âIâve gotten much better. I couldnât even go out to the hallway by myself before, but not anymore! One night, I dreamt that a patient arrived at the ER, but I was so scared he would stab me that I couldnât even try to treat him.â Then, Yiyoung rested her face on Muyeolâs shoulder in a cute way. âBut Iâve gotten so much better, right?â
Muyeol stroked her hair. âYou are a strong Korean woman.â
Yiyoung giggled. âBut I couldnât have done it all on my own.â
Muyeol looked down at Yiyoung in confusion.
âYou played a huge role in my recovery. In the past, it wasnât like this, but these days, when you ask me things like this, my mood becomes better,â she explained.
âWhat? What do you mean?â
âIt means, I like your interest in me.â
Muyeolâs face slowly settled into an indescribable expression, her words burning his heart.
âIn the pastâ¦â he thought.
Her words displayed the difference between past and present. At some point, her thoughts must have changed, and the impact of that was huge. It left him speechless and happy at the same time. Muyeol realized she couldnât have changed so much if her feelings had not.
