Mr. Cha took a glance around and noticed that people were keeping their ears open to overhear what Yiyoung was saying. And he couldnât communicate that to her silently because unlike a normal human being, she wouldnât understand.
At that moment, Yiyoung added, âSir, people do get treated differently based on who they are, but all that doesnât matter when it comes to sickness and diseases.â
âYouâre a psycho.â Mr. Cha scowled.
Yiyoung smiled at him again. âThank you. I can eat the noodles now, right?â
Mr. Cha clicked his tongue and left. Then, Yiyoung and Muyeol sat down on the available seats.
âOh, darn it. The noodles are all soggy now,â Yiyoung complained, âBut Iâm still going to eat them. It would be a waste if I donât.â
Muyeol simply watched Yiyoung eat the noodles, his arms crossed. Yiyoung could lift the chopsticks, but her hands were trembling. Muyeol was exhausted as well. He could tell what she was thinking right now. He was sure that what she had just witnessed was way worse than whatever sheâd expected from Mr. Cha.
âIâm so mad right now,â Yiyoung muttered to herself.
It seemed as if she was angry because she was having a hard time grabbing the noodles, but Muyeol knew the true reason she was upset. He grabbed a pair of chopsticks and a spoon, then put some noodles on the spoon and gave it to Yiyoung.
Like a baby bird, Yiyoung ate from the spoon. There wasnât much to eat, but she chewed loudly. Unable to control her anger, she kept muttering, âDoes he even know who heâs cursing at? Heâs so annoying!â
âA b**tard? What kind of crazy father calls his own son that? Making Muyeol go through the paternity test nineteen times⦠He canât be a father. No, heâs not even a human! Heâs a crazy man, a psychopath. He never should have been a father to anyone,â Yiyoung thought furiously.
Muyeol finally opened his mouth and said, âThank you for dealing with that.â
Muyeol had never wanted to show her the way he was treated. But sheâd witnessed it, and dealt with the situation wisely. Yiyoung was different from him. She was born different; heâd always had to strive hard to hide his feelings.
âCha Muyeol,â said Yiyoung, âLook at me.â
âDonât pity me.â
Yiyoung blinked as Muyeol continued, âI know how youâre going to think about me now, but donât. If you do⦠I feel like Iâll give up.â
Muyeol sounded so exhausted, done with the incessant situations.
âGive up what?â asked Yiyoung.
When Muyeol pinched his lips close, Yiyoung realized what he meant.
âI started liking you after we began living together. It was fun to spend time with you, and I wouldnât even know fast time would pass by. I really liked you, without even realizing how much I depended on you,â Yiyoung said, âEven if I hadnât been involved in that incident, we would have fallen in love anyway. And we would have loved each other passionately, perhaps because there would have been no doubts between us. Right now, you think that Iâm in love with you only because of my disorderâ¦â
Muyeol raised his head and looked at her while Yiyoung continued, âWell. No, you idiot. Iâve dealt with several obstacles and hardships in the past, and Iâve overcome them all. I wouldnât fall for someone so easily just because I suffered from a single incident.â
âMaybe youâre broken,â Muyeol responded, which confirmed what Yiyoung had been thinking.
âDonât belittle yourself like that. To me, youâre a great guy. So donât devalue yourself. Youâve always told me to find the real Yoon Yiyoung,â she said with a smile, âFind yourself then. Know how great you are. Youâre sexy and unique. But youâre way too naive, my husband.â
Muyeol stared at Yiyoung.
âI needed to experience some situations to finally know myself, and I think you need it, too. You need a cause.â Yiyoung looked at Muyeol warmly. âIf there was a turning point in your life, what kind of life would you want to live?â
