Yiyoung exhaled deeply, unable to handle how happy she was. âI wanted to look at it with you, and finally, my wish has been granted.â
Muyeol smiled, and he let Yiyoung rest against his shoulder.
âLove it. I just love it,â she muttered.
âYeah?â
Once they went back to Seoul, they would have to return to their daily lives. Yiyoung to the hospital, and Muyeol to his company.
âOnce I go back, Iâll be confused for a while.â Yiyoung had initially planned to be off work for a whole year, but now that she physically felt better, and her disorder seemed to be getting better, too, it was not necessary for her to stay away from work any longer. And she wanted to learn how to live her life while working.
âItâs okay if you change your mind,â said Muyeol.
âItâs okay. My handâs growing bored. I even miss the unique scent of the ER.â
âYou were born to be a doctor.â
âI agree.â
âHave you wanted to be a doctor since you were a child?â
âNo, not really. As you know, smart kids usually choose to become doctors or lawyers, and I was one of them. I just wanted to embarrass those kids who used to make fun of me for being poor. I didnât know how hard it would be to be a doctor.â Yiyoung smiled faintly as she continued, âBut after I became a doctor, I realized that I was meant to be one. I made the perfect decision to become a doctor. And I think you actually love working at your company, even though you say you donât.â
Muyeol pondered over it for a brief moment before calmly saying, âMaybe itâs because I feel accomplished.â
Yiyoung stood up from her seat. âYouâre not working now because you have nothing to do, right?â
Muyeol stood up to follow her. âNot anymore.â
âTry to like your job more.â
Muyeol grinned at her in response.
âImagine the happy faces of your employees after their salary is increased as you achieve more,â Yiyoung added.
âAre you telling me that because you wish for a raise?â
âOops! You caught me. How did you know?â
âYoon Yiyoungâs personality has changed a lot, huh? Back then, you tried to do everything on your own.â
âBecause I know Iâm not alone anymore.â
âI see that you learned something important.â
âThatâs a compliment, right?â
âDo you think itâs a curse then?â
âOf course I learned something great! You know, I learned it from someoneâ¦â
They were chattering as they stepped outside the Hagia Sophia when Yiyoung stopped in the middle, her hand raised in the air. Seungah was there. Yiyoung had frozen because she saw Seungah was working as a guide, a doll with an antenna attached to it in her hand.
As Yiyoung stared at her, Seungah led her group past her. âThis is Hagia Sophia. Iâve been a tour guide for over 10 years now, and Iâm telling you straight up that thereâs no suchâ¦â
Yiyoung unconsciously laughed out loud.
âThis must mean it was meant to be. I came here alone. Do you have a companion?â Yiyoung vividly remembered Seungah asking her that. And she just found out that Seungah was a tour guide.
âWhy are you laughing like that?â Muyeol questioned.
âBefore, when I visited, I was withâno, waitâ¦â Yiyoung thought about just who would have hired a guide for her.
Her eyes widened. âIt was you.â
âWhat?â
âYouâre the one who made Cho Seungah, the tour guide, travel with me.â
Muyeolâs face instantly reddened, and his expression was all the confirmation Yiyoung needed. She realized that Muyeol had picked the best tour guide to keep an eye on her and provide her with the best experience.
Muyeol didnât know what the tour guide looked like, but he remembered her name: Cho Seungah.
âThatâs how you knew when I was going to reach the hotel, and you were waiting for me,â Yiyoung accused.
âI donât know what you are talking about.â Not knowing how Yiyoung would react, Muyeol pretended to be unaware.
