Tang Ziyou asked for leave with the director that night and showed up at Gu’s old house on time.

Gu Jiuxing hadn’t got off work yet. There are only Grandma Gu and Gu Jiuci at home.

Tang Ziyou said “Ah”, and then he realized that what he said should be shrimp on the plate.

He smiled and replied, “I don’t like it anymore.”

Gu Jiuci looked at him blankly.

Tang Ziyou still had that smiling expression, nodded at him slightly, and then turned to the living room.

Gu Jiuci didn’t move. After a long time, he reached out and took the shrimp he had put to Tang Ziyou, peeled off the shell, and chewed it slowly.

Grandma Gu was ready to watch TV after eating. Tang Ziyou sat beside her and accompanied her. Gu Jiuxing didn’t rush to the others, so he peeled an orange for him and Grandma Gu.

“Xiao Jiu.” Grandma Gu looked at him and whispered, “I heard something in the hospital that day.”
