I started, confused, unsure of where to turn,
Skeptical, observing, trust a foreign word.
Mottos of the past
That kept me going, though barely.
Anxiety, fear, and the weight of depression
Haunted the edges of my mind,
Memories that never let me rest.
I stepped into the unknown,
Fear gripping my heart.
I met faces, some familiar, others strangers,
But a few became my anchors.
Guiding me through
For without them,
My fears might have come true.
Each challenge, an enemy's hand,
But God's strength carried me through.
He is my Savior, my Healer,
My Deliverer and Protector.
This milestone I have mastered,
Only by His grace.
Trust, faithâHis words inscribed within me,
