Life is complicated-
But who made it so?
We, the very beings on this earth.
Betrayal, hurt, anger, love, misery-
These are the weights we carry,
The feelings that drive our actions.
"New Year, new me,"
Lies whispered by our minds.
A new year begins, yet the same feelings linger,
The past clings tighter than we care to admit.
Neglected-why?
We were taught to forget,
not to heal.
How does forgetting mend the soul?
How does silence soothe the ache?
The very hands that guide this earth
Inflict pain upon its children.
Children hurt their peers,
And the cycle repeats-endlessly, relentlessly.
Why?
We were never taught to heal,
Only to endure.
But I ask-why must we accept this?
Why must we live in shadows of pain?
It's a new year, after all.
And, this year, I choose a different path:
To heal the wounds, to forgive the past,
To find peace amidst the chaos.
Let this be the seed of a blossoming year.
