2 years after your death

"Hey Y/N! Y/N over here!!!"

I open my eyes to see... a beautiful green scenery, a blue sky, with warm light shining through tree tops.

Where.. am I?

"Y/N! Come on we are going to our little hideout aren't we?" I feel a hand grab onto mine, and I snap out of my trance and look at who is talking. My eyes widen at who is in front of me.

"Alastor?..." He's a kid again. Wait, I'm a kid again and a human? How?

"Well, yeah. Who else would it be?" He says giving me his usual warm smile that makes me relax.

"Hehe sorry, I was probably daydreaming a terrible nightmare!"

Is this even real?

"That's ok! Come on Y/N" he holds onto my hand and walks me towards our hideout, we walk for what seems like forever... but, our hideout wasn't far from our home. "Alastor? Where are we going?" Silence. "Al?" I now shift my gaze to him and jump, he is now an adult. We both are. The forest suddenly turns dark and rainy, just like the night he killed me.

"Oh my dear, you shouldn't have trusted me." He turns to me with his sinister smile and his hunting rifle

"A-Al what are you doing with that." I hold out my hand as I walk backwards, but with each step, he only gets closer.

"Darling you really thought I would keep you around forever? Hah! What an idiotic choice that was my dear! You should've known I'd kill you!" He tilts his head and his smile grows wider. I'm suddenly pressed against a tree struggling to breath.

"No.. BUT WHY?! I THOUGHT WE WERE BEST FRIENDS" tears start streaming down my face, mixing in with the rain.

"I only kept you close so you can help me. You were only a toy for me to use my dear~" he then points the gun to my forehead "I'll see you VERY soon~" his laughs fill the air as he pulls the trigger.

My eyes fling open as I let in a deep breath, I'm nearly hyperventilating. I look around quickly at my surroundings to see... I'm laying on the ground next to my bed, tangled in my blanket, drenched in sweat as the red light of the pentagram sun seeps through my curtains.

"Fucking hell..." throws an arm over my eyes as I calm my breathing down. "It's just a nightmare.. again. The same... fucking nightmare." I look over at my clock, having it read 4am I groan and get up, getting myself untangled from my blankets and look at myself in my mirror, besides my mask looking marking on my face, I seem to have darker rings under my eyes. I have been having more frequent nightmares about Alastor, most of the time it's back when I was alive, or I'm in hell and I hear his voice, but in the end I always end up killed by him.

Is it true that he didn't actually want me around? No, he probably did at first... but he probably didn't want me to rat him out. He was most likely planning the right time to strike me down. He has always been stronger than me afterall.

Shifting my tired gaze away from my reflection, I walk over to the window and move the curtains over, looking out at the city. It's basically 24 hours of death destruction and chaos 7 days a week. Due to people dying and coming down here there's ones who live off different time zones, so no matter what there will always be sinners out there, doing something with their pathetic afterlife.

Is my afterlife pathetic? I wouldn't imagine so. I have two amazing friends, we own a store, and I at least have some sort of magic.

Moving away from the window I grab clothes for the day, since I will not be able to go back to sleep now. A pair of dress pants, black socks and dress shoes... I look through my shirts, I mainly wear red shirts, I've enjoyed the color red for some time. But its getting boring now, being down here. "Such an eye sore" I grab a plain white button down and go into the bathroom to shower. After that dream I feel physically gross.

I turn on the shower, scolding hot, just the way I like it. Standing under the water washing my body, I feel like the next couple of weeks are going to be... rough. Maybe interesting. I can't put my finger on it. Might as well be ready for anything, huh?

Stepping out of the shower I get dried and dressed, tucking my shirt into my pants loosely and unbuttoning a few top buttons. I ruffle my hair to be messy, then brush my teeth. "Perfect" Today is my day to go shopping for the house, I might as well go early. I check the time "7am? How did time go that fucking fast..." I shake my head and brush off the thought, grab my house keys and head out after leaving kody and blue a note. I lock the door and go straight towards the store. I must've been zoning out because one moment I don't hear or pay attention to any sinner, then the next I suddenly hear the cries of a child, a little girl perhaps. Suddenly my parental mode kicks in and I go straight towards her voice. I've always wanted my own kid but I am sadly infertile according to doctors. So I've taken babysitting gigs a couple times in the past.

I turn down an ally and there's two huge demons cornering a small girl, she's extremely white with rosey cheeks and blonde hair put into two braids, wearing a white and red dress with apples on the skirt.

"Haha look what we got here, the princess of hell. Allll alone~"

"She would cost a fortune on the market! Let's take her to the boss."

I get pissed as my eyes glow pure red "oh no you're fucking not. That's a child! An innocent child!" I storm over, they are both bigger than me. And with huge muscles a shark and a bear. Terrifying... but I'm not worried about that right now.

"Ooo look what we got here, a little one trying to stop us" the shark said

The bear reaches to grab the little girl, but I lunge on him and create an axe, slicing his arm clean off

"AHHH SHIT! FUCK FUCK YOU LITTLE BITCH" They reach to grab me but I create chains and whip them right at their eyes, causing them to fall over in pain and agony, though, they won't be able to see unless i kill them. They'll just fall right back down here anyway, can't actually die unless it's from a holy weapon. "You two need to learn how to treat children." I create a hand gun and kill them off. That is when i hear soft sniffles and crying. I quickly turn to the little girl and crouch down "hey there"

"D-don't hurt me please..."

"Now why would I want to do that if i just saved you?" I smile in curiosity, which actually makes her calm down and think, now confused.

"I don't know?" She looks up at me with her big eyes

"Well, what's your name darling and why are you out here all alone?" I gently pick her up in my arms and walk out of the alley

"My name is Charlotte.. and um, I lost mommy and daddy" she says with a pout

"Do you remember where they were last? Maybe we can go there and find them, or wait for them somewhere"

"Um um.. candy and toys! It was candy and toys shop!"

I tilt my head and look around "lets see where it could be. Must be a place for parents to buy their kids things..." after walking for nearly 10 minutes, we find the store and I have her look around, but it seems they aren't there. "Don't worry Charlotte, I'm sure they are out looking for you" she nods in response as i step outside, more walking, fun. But after a couple minutes I hear a grown couple yelling her name, she seems to hear it too

"Mommy and daddy!" She squeals out

"Ok- now to find them" I then start jogging towards their voices, until i see a tall blonde woman with a beautiful black dress and horns looking around calmly, while another shorter demon, blonde hair white and red clothes with a big hat that has an apple and.. worm? Snake? I can't tell. But he is way more frantic and almost seems to want to pull out his hair.

"CHARLOTTE MAGNE WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"Are you looking for someone?" I smile softly and set her down

"DADDY" she says as she runs over and hugs his leg

"Baby!!!" The man says as he picks her up and holds her close. The woman steps close and hugs them both then looks at me "thank you for bringing her back to us, you are better than nearly everyone down here. Are you sure you don't belong in heaven?"

"Completely sure ma'am, I belong down here"

The man looks over at me "how did you find her?"

"Ahhh wellll I heard a kid screaming so i found her in an alley cornered by two huge ass sinners and i-"

"THEY BEAT UP THE BAD GUYS!!! IT WAS SUPER COOL DADDY! THEY HAVE THINGS APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE!" Charlotte interrupts me with her excitement

"Is that true?" The man looks at me "you have magic? And beat them up?"

"More like killed them but yes to both"

"Hmm... I want you to work for me."

"Im sorry?"

"Do you know who we are?"

"I'm afraid not. And i already have a job with my two friends"

The woman chuckles softly "dear, i am queen lilith, my husband king lucifer, and our daughter princess Charlotte"

And like that my jaw drops and I seem to pale in skin tone "th.. the royal family.."

"Yes, and i would like you to come work for me. You get to stay in the castle and get many benefits" Lucifer says with a wide smile

I stare in disbelief. They actually want ME of all people to work for them? I mean, I did save their daughter... "uh..." i shake my head and snap out of it "on one condition."

"It depends what condition you refer to"

"Both of my friends come and work too, and stay there"

"Hmm.. what qualities do they have"

"My friend blue can be a gardener, my friend kody can tell what is poisonous, either by looks scent or taste" he seems to give it some deep thought for a moment

"It's a deal then. Be at the castle by noon tomorrow, bring any belongings you all have. Good day" they all get into a limousine and quickly leave the premises while i just stand there trying to process everything
