Chapter 50: CH 47

Won’t expose the little secret of you sneaking over to sleep with me in the middle of the night.

The evil dragon’s voice sounded from the front. Gesius blinked his eyes, and lowered his head to hold his hand:

“Since you’ve put it like this, then, okay.”

The knight’s tone was as if he were pestered into having no choice, but the strength with which he held his hand was not small.

Bai Zhi’s hand was warm from being held. Without being aware of it, his heart also became sweeter.

The howling winds outside the cave blew around the fragments of ice, slapped them against the cave wall, and a chilly breeze endlessly rushed inside. Bai Zhi crossed his arms, endlessly stomping his feet where he stood.

Gesius took off his knights’ armor, pulled Bai Zhi into an embrace with one hand, yet he said with a very stiff tone: “The sound of you stomping is too loud, you’re not allowed to be noisy.”

Bai Zhi blinked and cutely made a noise in reply: “…Oh.”

The system who had once again spectated the entire arena of dogs: “…Hm.”

The flash-blinded system gave up the idea of heating itself and continued to do its best at planning escape routes for the two people. Code kept endlessly scrolling across its monitor. When the system inadvertently raised its eyes and glanced at it, it was shocked.

“Nephew! Take Gesius and leave here at once!”

Hearing the urgency in the system’s tone, Bai Zhi opened his mouth a little strangely: “What’s wrong?”

The evil dragon in front of him had opened its eyes wide, asking the question of whether or not he trusted him with a face full of seriousness.

The words Gesius had planned on using to refuse were suddenly unable to be spoken. He sunk into deep thought for a long time in his original spot before he said vaguely:

So it was like this that Bai Zhi the evil dragon brought the knight away with less effort than it took to blow dust.

The two people exited the cave, and the cold stinging wind instantly hit them. Bai Zhi was somewhat worried about the human Gesius and glanced at him many times as they traveled. Seemingly able to sense Bai Zhi’s worry, Gesius smiled slightly:

“You, close your eyes.”

Gesius didn’t understand why, but still listened, obediently closing his eyes. The moment he closed his eyes, Gesius suddenly felt his collar get pulled, felt himself suddenly get lifted onto a high seat, felt a whistling wind pass by him; Gesius couldn’t help but open his eyes.

The endless peaks passed through his view. The blizzard roared and slapped against the wings of the evil dragon. Gesius’s heart could not help but be shocked.

This evil dragon was helping him travel through the snowy mountains.

Bai Zhi didn’t know that Gesius had already opened his eyes. He was still trying hard to operate the wings he was not quite familiar with, putting great effort towards not crashing himself into the mountain peaks.

“Uncle, being a dragon isn’t nice at all.”

Bai Zhi coughed out a sentence, his voice trembling: “Tired and hungry, can’t even fly high.”

“That’s because you aren’t familiar with the enormous dragon’s–”

“Stupid dragon be careful!”

The system’s words were abruptly cut short. Confused, Bai Zhi turned his head back and saw large sheets of snow fall like rolling waves sweeping down from above.

Avalanche.

Bai Zhi suddenly thought of this word.

The system’s emergency rescue plan sounded in his ears, yet Bai Zhi didn’t hear a single word. The furious crashing of the snow mountain was extremely loud, and it almost deafened Bai Zhi.

The little demon silently paused for a moment, with only one thought in his mind.

There was still a person on his back.

Gesius’s heart was about to leap out of his throat, but he didn’t even have time to shout at this stunned evil dragon before a pair of black wings suddenly covered him from above, firmly protecting the Gesius on the dragon’s back.

Bai Zhi felt as if his entire body had never felt real pain, it hurt tens of thousand more times than when he was hit by a car in the second world. With the familiar voice of the system sounding endlessly in his head, he shivered, tried his best to open his eyes, but felt that his eyelids weighed thousands of pounds, and a sleepiness enveloped his entire body.

Bai Zhi didn’t respond, still sleeping quietly in his palm as he was before. Gesius cast his eyes down to glance at this young black dragon. The originally beautiful armor had been almost sliced to pieces by the fragments of ice, the thin fissures stinging the skin on Gesius’s palms.

He carefully held both his hands close to his chest, and ran along this path of the snowy mountain he had to pass through in order to save the princess.

“Stupid dragon, if this time you end up unhurt, then I won’t expose the little secret of you sneaking over to sleep with me at night.”

“I also won’t expose the fact that you are the evil dragon, and will pretend that I didn’t see anything.”

Bai Zhi seemingly heard these words, he flapped his wings in Gesius’s palm.

A soft feeling came from his palm. Gesius’s whole body shivered, and he immediately looked towards his own palm.

Bai Zhi half-consciously opened his eyes, sprawled on Gesius’s large hand, and lay there for a long time before hugging his thumb to sit up, a small tail waving back and forth. His voice had also become small:

“The words you just said, I heard all of it, you’re not allowed to chicken out.”

With great difficulty Gesius controlled his wild joy, and even the words he spoke lacked some tact: “Stupid dragon…does it hurt…are you uncomfortable anywhere, I will bring you to a healer first…”

“Who are you calling a stupid dragon!” Bai Zhi’s voice was very faint: “Didn’t I tell you that my name is Bai Zhi, stupid knight.”
