"You um mind taking me home?" I asked soriah, I was ready to go and I was going to ask duke but his ass swear he sooo sleepy

"um nah, hold up" she ran upstairs and I sat there for a minute just waiting on her

"let's goo" she came back with keys in her hands and her nike slides on

I followed her outside and out to her car. As we started driving most of it was silent.

"damn yo drive slow as hell" I said cause I swear she was

"huh no im no" she frowned

"I swear to god you are" I chuckled

"well I be having anxiety about death and shit" she said and I gave her a confused look

"like I'm scared of the way ima die" she shrugged still frowning

"I'm not I hope that shit in my sleep" I shrugged

"Don't say that" she poked her bottom lip out

"That shit the truth-" she cut me off by placing her hand over my mouth, so I bit her hand

"why kai" she said touching her hand

"wait so what does you being scared of death and you driving slow as fuck have to do with each other"

"You know car accidents are usually how people die" soriah said and I nodded as I started to think about my ma

"Oh um I'm sorry" she said

"you good" I mumbled

"I hope after life better than this fucked up world" I mumbled

"just pray, god always is always someone you can count on" she smiled

"he ain't been helping me out lately, feeling like it ain't no god" I shrugged

"you religious and shit" I asked

"uh ion go to church and stuff but I do pray and talk to god which helps me out." She said and I nodded

as we kept riding in silence, this who car ride was long as fuck mostly because clearly she drive slow asf

"ouu hold up can I stop at macdonalds?" She said and I shrugged cause I didn't care

"I promise ima take you home after this" she chuckled as she pulled through macdonalds long line

"I ain't know you was this raw"

"this our first time really even being around each other fr " she said and I nodded

"Duke don't let me even come out the room when y'all over so that's probably why" she frowned

"Them niggas be tryna get at you, that's why" I laughed and she nodded

"like who is them niggas specifically"

"I'm just asking so I can stay away from them" she said sarcastically

"soriah shut up" I said and I heard her let out a small chuckle

"you want something?" She asked me as she made it to the drive through speaker

"uh yeah just two large fries" I said and she nodded, she started ordering her food and everything, I pulled my wallet out and handed her my card

"It's cool I got it- take it" I mumbled and she took it

"You literally only got two fries you don't have to pay" she laughed

"yeah but I did get something, and you driving me around so I might as well" I said and she nodded

"thanks I appreciate it fr" I said to soriah as we pulled up to my house.

"It's no problem I gotchu" she said and I smiled.

"bye" I mumbled as I got out the car, I started walking to my front door, I opened it and I seen soriah pull off.

I threw those fries in the trash straight when I got in there. Them bitches was cold, and it just wasn't hitting fr so I just threw them away.

I went upstairs to take another shower, I swear I couldn't get that fucking jail feel off of me.

I started the shower then getting in, I just sat there thinking. Ion know how all that happened yesterday, felt like a movie deadass.

I was mostly just felt betrayed, like everything I did for her and she would go and do that to me. I should have seen it coming, everyone tried to tell me. Even my mama, wish she was talking so I could hear her say "I told you that girl wasn't no good"

That's all I want right now, is for my ma to wake up.

"hey uh god, ion know how this really work I kinda feel like I'm just talking outloud right now. But soriah recommended me over to you." I chuckled "uh I just want to ask you why? why cortez? Why my momma? And now Mia, I haven't done anything I'm tired. Really just want all this shit to be over."

"just um wanted to know when all this shit gon get better, when and ima feel like I really belong in this world. Cause at this point I just feel like all this is pointless my whole life is just pointless..." I said as I started to break down

I cried and cried as I showered, after I got out I got dressed and just went and layed down in bed.

I started to go off to sleep until I heard my phone ringing. Which it was an unknown number face timing me.

"hello" I said answering

"hi" soriah popped her head in the camera

"how you get my number" I asked laughing

"uh.. I went in dukes contacts"

"yo ass a lil stalker huh"

"yes, I am. And I'm proud of my stalker ways" she said making me laugh

"I'm always one step ahead of you, can't get one over on me" she said smiling

"oh fr" I asked laughing and she nodded smacking on something

"whatchu eating" I asked

"skittles" she mumbled with her cheeks big because she packed the skittles in her mouth

"who dat" Duke asked in the background

"kai" she said lowly

"speak up" he said

"kai" she repeated mumbling

"oh alright" Duke said laughing, as he walked by the camera sticking up his middle finger

"I thought he was bout to get mad" she mumbled

"why would I get mad, it's just kai" he laughed, they started having a side conversation and I just started tuning them out as I slowly started to fall off to sleep
