Chapter 117

At almost six o'clock in the evening, Sophia ran into William in the private room, or perhaps the other party had come to her intentionally.

William sat alone in the corner of the huge private room with the lights switched off. The private room was very dim, and there were wine glasses scattered in a disorderly manner in front of him.

The pungent smell of alcohol filled the entire private room, choking Sophia so badly that she could not stop frowning. She glanced at the man who was already drunk, then turned around and walked out. She did not want to see him. She could swap with her colleagues and ask them to come over instead.

"Did I give you permission to leave?" William was swaying back and forth as he stood up while pointing a beer bottle at her.

Sophia lowered her head. "I walked into the wrong room. Someone will come and serve you in a while, Mr. Jones."

"You didn’t walk into the wrong room. I was the one who summoned you!" William threw the bottle on the table and walked to her side with intoxicated, hazy eyes. His hand was suspended on top of her head before he retracted it again.

He sat down and patted the seat next to him. His voice was slightly guttural and suppressed. "Come and sit here."

Sophia did not move. She looked up at him and asked instead, "What do you need, Mr. Jones?"

"I asked you to sit here, didn't you hear me?!" William raised his voice a little. His amber eyes were stained with wisps of blood from drinking too much.

Sophia remained rooted to the spot. After a while, she sneered at him. "If you’re calling me here just to throw a drunken fit, then I’m sorry, I cannot keep you company, Mr. Jones."

Having said that, she turned around and walked toward the door.

At the sight of this, William sprung up from his seat and took large strides toward her, reaching in just a few steps with his long legs. He slammed the door shut and pinned her against the door, his eyes boring into hers.

The pungent smell of alcohol on his body enveloped Sophia's entire being. She pushed him but could not budge him. "Please behave yourself, Mr.

Jones."

"Behave myself?" William squeezed these two words from the gap between his teeth. It seemed as though the anger in his heart had been ignited because of her words. He seized her wrist, spraying her face with his breath full of alcohol. "You were thrown out naked, and here you are asking me to behave myself?!"

"!" Sophia's pupils contracted. She bit her lip and exerted all her strength to shove William away.

He grasped her wrist so hard that it was starting to bruise. She frowned and moved her wrist a few times.

After Sophia shoved William away, he staggered and crashed to the ground. He held the ground for support and swayed to his feet, glaring at her with a disappointed and furious gaze. "So what they said is true. You seduced Charles, didn’t you?"

He sauntered toward her and clasped his hands on her shoulders. His voice was slightly higher than before. "Answer me!"

Sophia detested his interrogating tone. She shoved him away and stood a little further away. "Yes."

She gave him a cold stare and said in a distant manner, “It does not concern you whether this is true or not."

The Jones siblings were dog poo that she could not wait to keep away from. They stink even from a distance away and were stinky, sticky, and disgusting to the touch from a close distance.

Sophia had no intention of getting entangled with William anymore lest Audrey or the Jones press charges on her for seducing William.

She turned her head and left. As her hand reached the doorknob, a slender and fair hand was one step ahead of her as it slammed the door shut with a bang.

Sophia frowned, stifling her surging rage. She said, "Mr. Jones, what are you doi..."

William pressed her against the wall before she could finish her sentence. He clasped her face with both hands and kissed her whilst breathing heavily. His light-colored eyes were now stained with intense lust and anger.

Sophia could not shove him away. The only thing she felt at this moment was that this good-looking face was as revolting as a fly. She tilted her head, and his blazing kiss landed on her neck.

The soggy sensation sickened her as though a maggot had glided by. She hoped so badly to be in the shower this instant and scrub herself ten to 20 times.

"Don't go too far, William!" Sophia gritted her teeth. She exerted all her strength but had only barely managed to push him an arm’s length away. She could not push him away at all.

William looked down at her with lustful desires in his eyes that he did not even bother to conceal. "You seduced Charles just to get back into this circle again, didn’t you? You don’t need him to achieve that at all. You can seduce me as well. I can give you everything that he can all the same!"

He stroked her waist with his hands and lowered his head to kiss her as he spoke.

Slap!

Before William's kiss could land on her face, Sophia slapped him hard across his face. As he stood stupefied, she took the advantage and raised her right knee to smash it against his crotch.

Pain. The pain felt as though thousands of ants were chomping on his heart. William clamped his legs and bent over to cover his sore area. The sweat on his forehead could not stop racing down.

Bang!

The private room door was opened at the same time. Audrey rushed in like a hurricane. Her gaze fell on the front part of Sophia's somewhat disheveled clothes. The fire in her eyes looked as though it was about to spurt out.

"Before you reprimand anyone, Ms. Sommer, it's best that you look closely into whether I was the one who was trying to seduce someone here or if that someone was trying to force himself on me," Sophia said before Audrey could.

Audrey looked at the state that William was in and could almost guess what was going on. Even so, she still scowled at Sophia and said, "Do I even need to ask? The news of you getting thrown out after failing to seduce Charles has spread like wildfire in the circle. Seeing that your last target didn’t work, you’re now making my fiancé your next target huh?"

"I really admire your ability to lie through your teeth, Ms. Sommer." Sophia sneered before turning around and walking toward the door.

Audrey was flushed with anger by her words but did not open her mouth to refute, nor did she chase after her. As soon as she went out, though, the door slammed shut with a heavy bang.

Sophia massaged her ears that were still buzzing from the tremor. She then frowned and rubbed hard at the area where William had just kissed her. It was only until the outer layer of her skin was nearly rubbed raw did she finally put down her hand and purse her lips tightly.

She had already tried her best to avoid their circle, yet why did each and every one of them still refuse to spare her?

"Sophia?" Marie yelled from a distance. She raised her eyebrows slightly when she came closer, saying, "I still have things to deal with. Help me send this chicken soup to the hospital."

The only person who would allow Marie to deliver chicken soup for him was none other than Charles.

Sophia pursed her lips and lowered her head, saying, "I’m really sorry, Marie. I'm still a few hours away from the end of my shift. You should send someone else to deliver it for you."

The thermos barrel was not hot at all, yet it immediately turned into a hot potato when it was in Sophia’s hand. She clenched the hem of her shirt with her other free hand. Her palm was already drenched in cold sweat. "You don't need to look for one yourself. Dreamy Yalden isn’t working today, I will pass her the chicken soup, and then..."

"That's too cumbersome." Marie smiled and winked at her. "I happen to be meeting Manager Jim later. I will inform him that I have sent you out to undertake a task after six o'clock. He won’t have anything to say about that."

She fixed Sophia’s clothes for her and left while humming an old song in a rather lighthearted manner, giving her no chance to refuse.

After walking a certain distance away, Marie turned around and blinked at Sophia. "I support you!"
