Sophia pressed her lips. âIâll give it to you later.â
âOkay,â Charles Harris walked out the door in large strides, and soon, the sound of a carâs engine starting could be heard.
Sophia took out her phone and stared at the annoying word âhubbyâ on the screen. She frowned and clicked on his picture to edit the name â B*stard.
After a thought, she deleted it and changed it to Despicable Harris.
It was only after editing his name that she finally sent over the ID number and the videos shared to her by Megan over to Charles Harris.
Clara Robertson sent over a message immediately after Sophia was done.
[I Am Heaven and Earth, I Am Your Death] âSophia, I need a hug!!! Iâm so sad right now! Oh, I donât want to live anymore!â
Before Sophia could reply, Clara Robertson sent a few more messages.
[I Am Heaven and Earth, I Am Your Death] âI beat up the mayorâs son, my dad is gonna kill me!!!â
[I Am Heaven and Earth, I Am Your Death] (Sobbing.gif)
[I Am Heaven and Earth, I Am Your Death] âWhat am I gonna do?! I'm too scared to go home! I canât tell my mentor and I canât tell my dad. I dare not even see them! (Sudden burst of sobbing.JPG) I have a home I canât go back to, Iâm now an unwanted little cabbage!â
Sophia sighed lightly and replied with a few ellipses before asking her the reason she beat up the mayorâs son.
Clara Robertson replied indignantly.
[I Am Heaven and Earth, I Am Your Death] âItâs because heâs been harassing me, pushing for his father to meet my father and propose for my hand.
Heâs always sticking close behind me, rambling continuously about how our families were a great match and trying to get me to break up with my mentor and focus on giving him a son!â
âTell me, do you think he has a mental problem?! Yes!â
âSo, I gave him a beating! I havenât even complained about my hurt hand and heâs already whining about it to my father. He wants me to take responsibility by marrying him! Blergh! If heâs that great, why doesnât he just make a beeline for heaven?â
Sophia White, â...â
In the end, Sophia White could not take Clara Robertsonâs continuous pleading and walked forty minutes outside of the little district to get a taxi for the law firm.
âHello, can I help you with anything?â The receptionist asked.
Before Sophia White could answer, a figure flew towards her in a flurry and leaped onto her, almost pushing her to the ground.
âI knew youâre the best! Youâre just like Kanzeon herself here to save this little fairy!!!â Clara Robertson was agitated.
Sophia White, â...â
Sophia White may be strong but she was not used to a girl hanging onto her like a koala bear. âWhy donât you get off me first?â
Clara Robertsonâs face was scrunched up as she sobbed, âI wonât get off! That sticky nougat has caught up and my mentor is speaking to him now.
Heâs making me apologize to that sticky nougat!!!â
Sophia White pushed Clara Robertson off her. They had not known each other for long and she wondered why would Clara be so needy towards her.
âHmph, he actually wanted me to apologize to that sticky nougat. I donât want this boyfriend anymore!â Clara Robertson pouted as she put up a fist as a show of self-encouragement.
âSophia, you must always protect Angela, who is fighting on your side!!!â [TN: Angela is a female doll-like character in the online game, Honor of Kings]
Sophia White, â...â
At that moment, Zachary Johnsonâs long legs strode in and he waved Clara Robertson over. âCome over here, young lady.â
âI donât want to!!â Clara Robertson jumped behind Sophia White and gave Zachary Johnson a warning look.
Zachary Johnson spoke gently this time, âThink things over for yourself. Would it be easier for you to apologize to Mr. Dawson or to go home and apologize to your father?â
Clara Robertson replied, âThe easiest thing is to break up with you! That guy kept following behind me while trying to convince me to break up with you. You didnât even beat him up and now, you wonât allow me to beat him up?! Is there such a boyfriend like you out there?! Cold-blooded!
Heartless!!!â
She started blubbering at the end of her sentence.
Sophia White coughed gently. âMiss Robertson, why donât you head in to apologize? It would be better than being told off by your father.â
Miss Robertson and the other party were both grown-ups. If the relationship between them was not handled with care, it would greatly affect the ties between their fathers. It would be better to minimize the seriousness of the situation rather than turn into enemies over something minor.
Clara Robertson shook her head vigorously like a rattle drum.
All Zachary Johnson could do was to approach Clara Robertson and whispered into her ear, âJust apologize to him. Any humiliation you face, I will find a way for you to be compensated. Bullying requires technique too. You canât just use physical strength, sometimes you need to utilize your brain.â
Sophia White, â...â
Clara Robertsonâs eyes brightened. âReally?â
âWhen have I ever lied to you?â Zachary Johnson moved towards Clara Robertson to hold her in his arms as he said this.
Before he could even touch her, she jumped in front of Sophia White as her eyes lit up. âLetâs go, Iâll take you to meet sticky nougat!â
She pulled Sophia White along as she walked in while chattering away, completely ignoring her mentor cum boyfriend.
Zachary Johnson stared at his empty hands while sighing soulfully.
Clara Robertson brought Sophia White to the front of the office and stopped walking. âSophia, could you go in there and find out whoâs inside and let me know? Iâll need to consider if I want to enter as well.â
âI donât know the mayorâs son and I donât know the secretary for the municipal committee nor any of the people in your law firm,â Sophia White said.
Clara Robertson gave a regretful affirmation as she hid behind Sophia White and walked into the office sneakily.
When Sophia White opened the office door, the two people seated in there turned to look at her at the same time.
One of them was in casual wear and was seated at the utmost south side of the sofa. He was around 1.8 meters and had quite a good fashion sense.
The only thing about him was that he was beaten into a pulp and it was quite disheartening to look directly at him.
As for the person seated on the north side of the sofa, it was someone that Sophia White knew. H was Aunt Lucyâs nephew, Victor Hemingway.
âDr. Hemingway,â Sophia White gave him a polite smile.

ï¤Chapter 201 I Need To Charge Him Interest Victor Hemingway smiled and stood up. His eyes looked like they were filled with stars from the night sky. âI did not expect to meet Miss White here.
What a coincidence.â
While they were busy greeting each other, the man who had been beaten to a pulp was still seated on the sofa and did not even glance at Sophia White.
Clara Robertson popped her head out from behind Sophia White and asked Victor Hemingway, âAre you that genius doctor, Victor Hemingway, who got transferred here from B City?â
âMiss Robertson actually knows who I am. It is indeed an honor,â The smile on Victor Hemingwayâs face became slightly wider, deepening the dimples on his cheeks.
The mayorâs son, who had been sitting on the sofa all this while, stood up as well. His eyes brightened as he looked at Clara Robertson. He spoke a little unclearly due to his face being swollen from the beating, âClara, I tot you wonât be afologizing to me!â
Clara Robertson grunted twice and under Zachary Johnsonâs continuous hinting, she grunted twice again, âSorry.â
âItâs fine. Break up with Zachary Johnson and be wif me, and Iâll forgif you!â Even with his beaten up, swollen face, he still spoke with an air of arrogance and snobbishness, not allowing anyone to forget that he was the mayorâs son.
Clara Robertson clenched her hand into a fist and was about to continue beating him up when Sophia White pulled her back. âYouâre now a mature adult who now owns an identification card. You should be calmer when dealing with things.â
âCan I get rid of my identification card, then?â Clara Robertson asked pitifully.
Sophia White, â...â
Victor Hemingway smiled in slight exasperation as he walked forward and said, âIt was wrong of Miss Robertson to beat up Holden, but his constant act of wooing you did cause you discomfort. This was his fault and I apologize on his behalf. I do hope you can be understanding.â
