Master Harris glared at him. "Is there a difference between the two?"
"Of course, there is," Charles said, "If you hurt Sophia, then I can destroy Harris Corporation right now itself."
Master Harris was breathing slightly harder now. He roared, "Are you threatening me because of a silly little girl?"
Charles stood up straight and clenched his fists, not saying a word.
"If I remove you from your position as the president, do you think you alone can ruin Harris Corporation?" Master Harris squeezed every single word out of his throat.
"Of course, not," Charles said coolly, "But what difference does it make if you remove me from my position as the president and appoint someone else in the family to destroy Harris Corporation?"
Master Harris coughed hard, then glared at him with cold eyes. "Stop taking yourself too seriously, Charles! There are so many people in the world.
Do you really think no one can compare to you?"
"There are people who are more outstanding than me everywhere, but you wonât feel at ease handing over Harris Corporation to him or her if theyâre not someone from the Harris family. Moreover, none of the abilities of any other Harris family member impress you. Otherwise, you wouldnât have appointed me as the president of Harris Corporation either," Charles explained.
Finally, he looked at Master Harris and asked, "Right, Grandpa?"
Master Harris put on a gloomy countenance and harrumphed, not making a reply.
"Whereâs Sophia?" Charles asked in a hoarse voice, clenching his fists tighter now.
Master Harris looked askance at him and snapped. âSheâs just an immature girl whose hair isnât even fully developed yet. How dare she be so presumptuous as to make negotiations with me!"
"Where is she?" Charles' forehead was filled with sweat.
Master Harris sneered. "I asked someone to send her to East Suburb Prison. She should be there by now."
"!" Sweat trickled down Charles' cheeks, meandering down his jaw and into his shirt.
He stared fixedly at Master Harris with his hawk-like gaze and clenched his fists. The blue veins on his neck bulged out, making him appear unusually ferocious.
He then turned around abruptly and started toward the door.
Master Harris sneered and said mockingly, "Save your energy. They won't let you see Sophia without me!"
"I have promised you to get engaged to Leah, so why are you still doing this?!" Charles turned his head and looked at him. The sun was shining through the window on him, bathing him in sunlight. Despite that, he looked like a devil bred in the dark.
Without Grandpa, no one would let him see Sophia no matter what he did!
At the thought of the grotesque scars all over her body, he clenched his fists hard, turning his knuckles white from the excessive force. He was breathing much heavier than usual.
"If you get engaged to Leah but continue to keep Sophia by your side, then how is Leah supposed to treat the Harris family wholeheartedly?" Master Harris asked coldly, "Are you thinking of squandering time away until I die so that you can then break off your engagement with Leah? Then youâll marry Sophia?"
The cold sweat had soaked through Charles' back. His limbs were shaking in the cold like they were soaked in ice.
"I have handed my will over to TC company. After I die, the moment you break off the marriage contract with Leah, the employees at TC company will confiscate all Harris Corporation shares from you and remove you from your position as the president.
"Do you get it now? If youâre sensible enough, then don't destroy your future for a woman! Listen to me and marry Leah. I will take it as though none of this has ever happened!"
Master Harris said with a fixed expression on his face.
Charlesâ head was lowered. A foul and evil-foreboding air emitted from his face. "So whether you are dead or alive, whether it is me or my wife, weâre supposed to be slaves for Uncle Ted and his family our whole lives and be their money-making machine willingly?â
"You should be content with what you have!" Master Harris harrumphed. "If you weren't capable, then you wouldn't even have the chance to be Harris Corporationâs president!"
Charles' Adam's apple rolled slightly. His voice was hoarse when he said, "Can I ask you why I can only be a money-making machine, Grandpa?"
"If a cold-blooded person like you are in control of the Harris family and Harris Corporation, how can the rest of the Harris family members survive?"
Master Harris asked.
Charles sneered, his eyebrows filling with mockery when he looked up. "Is it not because my dad was born to a woman you didnât like? Is that not the reason why you don't like me?"
"How presumptuous!" Master Harris' face was livid. He picked up a glass and hurled it at Charles. "Get out of here now!"
Charles ducked out of the way, and the glass landed on the ground, crashing into pieces.
"How dare you duck away?" Master Harris was fuming even more because of his actions. "You..."
The rest of his sentence was swallowed back in.
Charles picked up a fruit knife on the table, fastened his hand around Master Harris' neck with his left hand, and pressed the fruit knife against Master Harrisâ flesh. "Call the prison."
"Iâll give you a chance to put the knife down!" Master Harris was not panicking at all and was only more furious.
Charles did not move. "Please call the prison and bring Sophia to me."
"Do you know what youâre doing?" Master Harris roared, "Youâre just being a fool! You wonât get anything if you do this!"
Charles increased the strength in his hand and the fruit knife cut into Master Harris' neck, staining it with dark red blood. "Call."

Knowing that Sophia was being serious, the bald man dared not act tough anymore and slammed on the brake.
Screech!
The tires sliding against the ground created an ear-piercing squeal.
Sophia was standing half-bent over in order to intimidate the bald man. The brakes happened without warning, so she shot forward from inertia. The bald man took advantage of the time she lost her footing to grab her by the hand abruptly, snatching the ear stud from her hand and throwing it to the ground.
The men on the front passenger seat and the back row rushed forward at the same time, grabbing both of her hands and pressing her on the seat.
Smack!
Smack!
Atrophy of Love: Mr. Harris, Stop Fooling Around!
ï¤Chapter 222 Youâll Pay For This One of them slapped Sophia twice. "B*tch!"
Sophia's face swelled up. It felt like it was burning immediately after those two slaps. The taste of blood spread out in her mouth. She licked the blood on the corner of her mouth and clenched her fists slightly.
She failed.
She would not have another opportunity to escape before they arrived at the prison, let alone escape after arriving at the prison!
She was too naive to actually make negotiations with Master Harris. She thought that Master Harris would keep his words and send her elsewhere while protecting Sterling and Nicole...
Hah! She still had not learned her lesson after spending two years in prison!
"Do you want to go to the hospital first, Ken?" someone asked the bald man.
"It's no big deal. Itâs just a minor wound," the bald man said, "It's not too late for me to go to the hospital after sending her to East Suburb Prison."
The two men agreed. The man in the last row removed Sophia's other ear stud and sat in the second row with her, watching her closely. The other man returned to the front passenger seat.
The faint smell of blood mixed with the stench of vomit created a foul smell in the MPV.
