Charles' voice suddenly rang from behind her. Sophia’s entire body stiffened in an instant, but her expression looked normal. “Nope.”

He looked at her without saying a word, but he obviously did not believe her.

“My brother and sister-in-law told me to stop reading those news and public opinions online, in case they affect my emotions. But my mom is no longer here, yet those people continue to talk about her this way. I’m just... It’s making me feel bad,” Sophia said half-truthfully.

After a while, Charles said, “I can stop all these. At most, it will take till the day after tomorrow to stop all this news from spreading online.”

“Won’t that affect your plan?”

“It’s fine,” Charles replied without hesitation.
