MERCY'S POV
I rolled the little white container again and dropped it in the board. Two dices rolled out showing double six making Deb , Fikunmi and Trisha hiss .
I had two double six , I rolled and dropped again and this time I had six one.
I counted it and I won.
"This girl dey cheat. I can feel it." Fikunmi said and the rest nodded in confirmation making me laugh.
"It's natural girls. I have what they call owó figure (hand of figure )". I said making them scowl at me.
I just won them three times in a row while playing ludo so they were really pissed . It's not my fault that am just too good at it.
Today's Saturday and since we resumed class last two weeks this is the day I had time to come out like this.
After two weeks have started learning how to cope and I was already becoming thinner even with all the food have been eating.
I stood up from the bench I sat down and walked to the other plastic chair. We were all gathered downstairs in their balcony since the was no light and everywhere was boring.
I unlocked my phone and notifications entered straight away. The groups didn't have much messages today , I guess everyone was sleeping. I swear it's been stressful.
I scrolled through my latest chats and saw a reply from Teni. I quickly tapped it and replied back with a laughing emoji. He always had a way to make me laugh.
Teni and I have become close during last two weeks , we chatted constantly and at nights. We also talk about class and assignments and I figured I judged him quickly , he was cool.
He is the only real male friend I have right now . He was telling me about a girl in our class and what she did. It was quite hilarious.
"Mercy , you have started again . Always grinning at the phone." Trisha said with a glare. Oh she probably lost this round too.
I raised my hand in surrender and immediately her phone rang. She removed it from her Short's pockets and picked it.
"Hello...... Wow.... Am coming......okay we will come together.... Yeah..... Miss you like crazy and this people are just doing bad things to me , I'll explain later." She said making everyone burst out laughing.
I'm sure Mide was confused right now. She's taking this too serious, life is about losing and winning and you have to be prepared for the two. If you lose come back stronger to win simple.
"Mercy we are going out ooo. Debbie , Fikunmi we go meet . I'll tell Mide to teach me sef." She said as she stood up making Fikunmi say ,
"Lover girl." That girl na Savage.
"Lemme like that." Trisha said with a chuckle.

"How do I look?" Trisha asked walking into my room , I turned from my closet to look at her , she was wearing that yellow gown she showed me the other day with the white Vans , she added a simple long necklace and she was good to go.
I raised my two thumbs up , "perfect." I said making her grin , she told me that we were going to the cinema inside the lekki mall.
Everyone in their group too will go and that means the Eniola girl will be there. I just have to keep reminding myself that she's part of them.
I remember when I told Hakeem that we should go there someday. I miss him , I haven't seen him since that day since his own course was even harder.
I pulled out one of my crop top out of all the piles of it , and a skirt just like how I wore it the first day I resumed making me remember my mum and what she said that day.
I wore the cloth and did a little makeup , dropped my long braids this time .
I stepped out of my room and met Trisha in the sitting room waiting for me. "I'm done ." I said and she stood up making a call.
"They're already here sef. Let's go." She said and we both walked out of the house.
We reached outside the gate and the car drove into the street at the exact time.
Mide parked his car and we entered , this time it wasn't full. Hakeem was sitting in the passenger's side while eniola was sitting down in the back seat. We joined her there.
"Hey babe." Trisha said as we entered , the two of them ehn. Nawa , we will not here word again except baby , honey , and the rest. I thought chuckling inside.
"Mercy , Trisha how far." Eniola said as we entered, Making me smile at her. Maybe we could become friends , "am good what about you? Mide , Hakeem afternoon oo." I said , making Mide glad me a grin while Hakeem just turned and nodded his head which I really felt like knocking.
Yeye boy , I smiled at him and then they both faced front and Mide started driving,
"What about Gori and Lim?" I asked ,
"They are taking Gori's car ." Mide explained.
Five minutes into the ride , Hakeem being Hakeem his only focus was on his phone. Eniola and Trisha were talking about some stuffs and me being me I was lost in their conversation so I brought out my phone and started chatting with Teni.
He's always online, no matter the time and I keep on wondering when does he sleep?
Chatting away with Teni and in the group chat , i didn't even notice that we were finally there until Trisha nudged me.
I opened the door and stepped out of the car. The mall was filled with people since today is Saturday. Hakeem also stepped out and stood in front of me.
I turned to look at him , he was wearing black crazy jeans. A big Vans, a white v neck top and black leather jacket on it he even wore his earrings today making him have the complete bad boy image.
Why did he dress up like this. Hope he wasn't on a date with Eni or something like that , or maybe am just overthinking.
"How've you been?" I heard someone ask , and that particular someone happens to be Hakeem .I looked at my back but there was no one there and this made him chuckle.
"You're funny Sha. I was talking to you and stop checking me out." He said making me scoff.
"A whole me , check you out, you got to be kidding." I said and this time he laughed. Wow , look at that sight . Why is he handsome like this , why?
Soon I joined him in laughing well who wouldn't, his laugh ehn.. hmmm don't let me talk again .
"You guys stop flirting and let's go." Mide said making me blush , well in my melanin way.
I looked at the girls and they had a scowl on their faces and now I'm wondering why.
Well I understand for Eniola but not Trisha. I sighed as we walked inside the building.
We walked to the cinema side and saw Gori and Lim on the waiting chairs waving at us. At least she's not angry too. I smiled back at her as we walked to their side .
She passed a ticket to each of us and I checked the movie we were going to watch. Bad boys for life , that's the name of the movie .
I've watched that film up to five times already. I downloaded it on Monday and it's so interesting, so anytime I was writing notes in my room , I'll switch on my laptop and play it there .
But I guess watching it in the cinema will be different.
We entered the theater , we contained a whole row. I sat on the seat before the edge while Hakeem sat at the edge and Trisha at my other side .
I placed my big size of popcorn on my laps and the Fanta beside it.
"God will not let you burst ." I heard Hakeem say from beside me.
"Guy face your own. I'm even getting thinner can't you see." I said back making him shake his head .
"So your own diet is to eat sugar abi. I like your style ." He said back making me scowl,
"Wait why are you talking to me ?" I asked with my eyebrow raised , something I learnt from him .
"So I shouldn't talk to you right? And you're fun to talk to , but if you don't want....." I quickly cut him off,
"No .... It's fine ." I muttered with a large grin. I turned and faced the screen , after watching the same movie close to five times i sand the song with them and kept on stuffing the sugary popcorn down my throat.
After thirty minutes , I felt a poke on my hand , I turned to the direction and wait did I tell you that Trisha has been ignoring me after the car incident, well she has and I don't know why it maybe I do.
She's probably angry that I didn't follow her advice to leave Hakeem alone , but it's not like I was dating him , we can be friends na .
"Do you want to leave here ?" He asked with a smirk , leave here for what?
"Why?" I asked back ,
"Well you've been sighing and singing all the songs with them ." He said making me smirk , how did he know. Was he staring like how male actors look at their love inside all those movies or Wattpad novels .
"How do you know?" I asked him making him scoff,
"I'm sitting right beside you and I want to watch the horror movie that will start soon , I think it's conjuring. So are you leaving or staying?" He asked packing all his drink and popcorn.
"This movie is interesting too." I said back , the offer was tempting and my friends always talk about conjuring so I might as well check it out.
"I know , I've watched it . So... What do you say?" He asked again ,
"Okay fine let's go." I said back and the both of us packed our loads , Hakeem told Mide something and Mide dropped something in his hand while I was waiting at the door.
I shifted my gaze to look at Trisha but her glare and Eniola's own even Halima has deepen but Hakeem didn't seem to worry as he grabbed my hand while we walked out.
What was that all about?
