Early Monday morning update.

MERCY'S POV

When I was through with my food , I took my plate back to the kitchen  and quickly washed it . About to retire To my own room too my phone started ringing ,

I walked to the couch where I was sitting earlier and grabbed my phone. I checked the caller it was Teni.

I picked it , at least someone to talk too.

"Hello." I said immediately I picked the call.

"Hi ." He said back making me smile for the first time since I entered this house.

"so... I was wondering can you come over to my house?" He asked making me chuckle. I've never gone to his house before.

"Why?" I asked back knowing I will still go cause I was bored and I needed to get out of here.

"Nini sent one dance move that she wants me to do. So I thought , why not add you too."

Niniola is his sister , and she was the lovely tiktok video creator that I talked about.

"I can't dance oo. But I'll come." I said making him laugh.

"I'll come pick you in twenty."

"Okay sure. See you."

I said back and cut the call.

I quickly took a shower then opened my closet to pick out my clothes. I brought a joggers and a tank top , I wore my vans on it. And it was a perfect simple dance clothe.

This wasn't my first time making a video on tiktok , I used to do it with my friends but it was on their account.

I received a text from him saying he was already outside so I picked my small bag which I had prepared and walked out. Banging the door to announce that I was leaving  to the yeye roommate.

When I got down from the stairs I met Halima and Trisha there. Oh they said they were going to come visit , but I know it was to visit Hakeem since obviously something is wrong with him.

"Hey mercy." Halima said and gave me a small hug while Trisha just smiled at me.

"Are you going out?" Trisha asked with a confused look.

I nodded , "yeah , I am. But Hakeem is upstairs." I said back , and added ,

"I'm sure you need to talk to him."

"He's acting weird right? I'm tired of this. I'll make sure I get into his head this time." Halima said making me chuckle.

"Please get into it. I gotta go now." I said back and they muttered their byes in reply. I walked to the gate  and opened it and my eyes caught Teni's own who was standing leaning on his car which was parked in front of the gate.

"Hey." I said as I  hugged him.

"I guess you were having a bad day."

"Yeah I need this hug ." I said back leaning into him , his arms wrapped round around me. I could hear his heart beat and everything was do comfortable.

I pulled back when I saw Deborah and Fikunmi walking to our direction in front of the gate.

"Mercy how far." Deborah said when she saw me.

"Teni meet Deborah and Fikunmi my two best neighbours , Fikunmi, Deborah meet Teni , the lucky boy." I said back making them chuckle.

They shook hands and walked inside looking at me with all those squeling eyes. I swear the both of them  were crazy.

Teni opened the passenger's door of his car and I entered inside

"Such a fine gentleman." I said making him he bow down and remove his imaginary hat. He entered the driver's seat too and pulled his seat belt before turning on the car.

"So what happened?" He asked and I understood what he was talking about. I sighed as I leaned into the seat ,

"Well Hakeem and I......." By the time I was done we were in front of a one story building.

I turned to him and he had a frown,"I don't like the guy." He said making me chuckle,

"Why?" I asked back as I removed my seat belt.

"Well because he likes you."he said making me burst out laughing. He looked cute with his pout.

"You are just jealous." I said making him scoff. We stepped out of the car and he walked to the gate. We entered inside the compound and he wrapped his hands around my waist pulling me closer to him .

I smiled as I took in his scent , he always small nice. "So I'm jealous and I'm right." I laughed at that pushing the idea of Hakeem liking me away.

I looked around the compound and it was neat too , he wasn't living upstairs like me so we just walked into his flat as he opened the door.

"What about your roommate?" I asked entering the dark house. He walked and pressed the switch on the wall making the bulb on.

The house was actually neat , something I wasn't expecting. The sitting room contained black leather couches with a wide TV on the wall.

"He's not always around. He's like a yahoo boy , I don't know. So he always stay with his gang in one fret house . He only comes when he wants to get something or when he's angry."

He said ,

Wow he got this big TV to himself.

"If he's a yahoo boy won't he get you into trouble." I said as I sat down on the couch.

"I don't know oo. And the worst part is that I think he's a cultist."

"Jesus Christ . Teni you bright me here after knowing that ." I said making him burst out laughing.

"I was just joking jare. And I'm always alone so we're actually free to do something ." He said his eyes on my lips ,

"Something."I said back with a teasing smile, and before I knew it his lips captured mine. His hands went to my waist pulling me closer while my hands was on his  hair , his lips left my lips to my neck making me make a sound I didn't even know I could make.

Suddenly my phone started ringing , Teni and I ignored it until it stopped and then continued again.

I slowly brought out the phone from my purse and the name I saw made me panic , it was my mum.

I stretched the phone out for Teni to see and he jumped back making me laugh loud. Thank God she didn't do video call.

I picked the call ,

"Hello mum."

"Hey sweetheart , are you free this weekend?"

"Yes ma."

"Okay , come home maybe on Saturday and we'll drop you on Sunday. We're going to one of your dad's important party."

"Okay ma. I'll come maybe Friday evening."

"Okay honey. Got to go. I'll call you back when I get home."

"Okay bye."

I cut the call and Teni was grinning sheepishly in front of me as I bursted out laughing again.

"You're not serious. Stop laughing." He said back making me laugh more.

"You too stop that your grin." I said in between laugh .

.......

"I can't dance this for crying out loud." I said , I wasn't much of a dancer and these dance moves were for professionals like Teni and his sister.

"Yes you can. I'll teach you." He said back.

"Let me just video you , time is going jo." I said back making him finally fall for it.

I played the song and he started dancing the moves the exact same way his sister did. He was even better. How did I land myself with him?

When the song ended and he was done I stopped the video and he came over to check it. He was sweating a little and he was wearing a tank top and joggers just like me. Copy copy boy.

I showed the video , after watching it  he hugged me ,

"Stop you're rubbing your sweat on me." I said as I pushed him making him stick his tongues out like a kid.

I walked back to his bed and lied down , "thank you. It was videoed perfectly."

"Yeah you can't expect less from this professional." I said ,

"Ahh the one and only professional." He said making me laugh,

"That's me oo." I replied back.

"I'm hungry . Let me show you your boyfriend's skills today."

I laughed at that ,

"Just don't burn the kitchen."

"Ahh you dey whine me ni."

He said pulling me up , we walked to the also clean kitchen except for the plates in the sink and me being the lazy potato sat down on the counter and watched him bring out all the ingredients.

He brought out a golden penny spaghetti , and fresh grinded pepper , some other ingredients and also a takeaway filled with chicken.

I jumped down from the counter and cut out of one of the chicken when he faced back to bring out a pot.

"This chicken is so delicious and flavoured."

I said as I walked back to the counter.

"My mum cooked it , you can't expect less."he said as he opened the spaghetti pack and poured it into the pot.

"Are you sure you can cook it." I said deciding to whine him.

"Please stop this your whining. I attended culinary school and I was the best student. Be ready to eat a five star hotel or restaurant dish."

"Really , culinary class ?" I replied  making him turn back to look at him ,

"They didn't teach it in your school ni  ?"

"Teni you've started and if I talk now you'll say is my school that like shakara. They teach it but I chose makeup and hair instead of culinary." I said using my hand to quote the culinary.

"Anyway I don't care. "

"Shut up jo. You guys ehn you like to compare just know that we are too good."

"I reserve my comments." He said making me grin in victory.

Wait I think I've mentioned that our school have always been rivalries from the start , from sports to other competitions but we always beat them and the thing is paining him. Yeye boy.

"Better do , culinary student." I said back making him turn back and walk close to me with mischievousness in his eyes.

"Teni what are you doing?" I asked but he was already in front of me and already tinkling me.

"Teni.... Stop.... please........Mr chef oo." I said in between laughs , but he ignored me ,

"Teni oo.... Oya stop.. I can't breathe.. I'm serious." And this time he stopped ,

Before he could recover from his own laugh I pinched his arm , "owwwww. Mercy don't kill me." This time it was my turn to laugh my ass out.

"Thanks for the ride and you try small with the food." I said as he parked in front of my gate. He didn't try small oo , the spaghetti was over delicious. And me being the food lover that I was .. don't let me talk.

"I try small and you ate three servings. Don't let us start oo." He said back.

"I was just pitying your condition." I said with a smirk.

"Babe." He called ,

"Yes." I replied,

"Stop lying rapture can take place anytime."He said I turned and looked at him eye to eye before we both burst out laughing.

"Okay , it was delicious. Over the top." I said with a grin as I hugged him . He hugged back And I sighed as I pulled out

"Bye see you tomorrow." I said

"I miss you already." He said back as I was about to open the door.

"I know I have that effect with everyone." I said back making him groan.

"Babe ooo... Bye"

"Are you sending me away?"

"Ahah how did you go to that conclusion. Oya let's stay here and talk till you're ready to go."

"Don't worry. I'm tired , bye."

"Bye babe." He said back with a grin.

I walked to the front of the gate , turned back and waved at him . Childish yeah sue me.

He waved back , I turned back , opened the gate and walked inside the compound.

I was too tired to go to Deb's apartment so I just walked straight to mine. Thank God that there's light sef.

I opened the door and entered inside. I figured Hakeem will be inside the room only to see him seating on the couch watching TV.

I didn't talk just walked to the direction of my room only to be pulled back by someone.

"Mercy , I'm sorry."

Teni and Mercy ooo

They are making me blush here gan sef.

And Hakeem had finally grown some balls to say sorry.
