I know the last chapter wasn't filled with drama , so I wrote this one.

MERCY'S POV
"Ten minutes more." The invigilator called out , we were sitted and arranged inside the staff building.
My partner since the beginning of this exam who I was forced to face while sitting was also writing so fast on his answer sheet.
But I'm sure he was not as fast as me. We had two hours for the exams and I've been giving long answers in the theory making it too long and making it take so much of my time.
I kept on writing, black ink decorating the blank sheet. And then I stopped ,
I couldn't remember the right words the lecturer used in our notes.
It was my last question , so I had a time. I looked around, everyone's head were buried in
Their notes , invigilators were walking around and since it was the last day , lots of invigilators were present.
I looked over at Esther whose head was already on her table , she was always quick to finish making me wonder , how she's doing it.
I sighed as I remembered the word and kept on with the answers. When I was done I cross-checked through everything .
I didn't want to make any mistake or anything.
"Two minutes more ." The head invigilator announced again.
I checked the objectives again and ran my eyes through the questions as fast as I could , after checking everything, I was sure I was done.
Perfectly done , I am so getting an A in this.
"Pens up. If anyone is caught still writing, you know the consequences." She said again.
I quickly dropped my pen and placed my hands on the table .
When my partner , David , passed the papers which was passed to him to me , I added mine and passed it to the next person too.
Some people were already done , and had left the exam hall but we the stay to the last second geng still remained and the funniest thing is that we were much.
After we submitted we were told to leave the class , I carried my pen case and left the class after bidding David good-bye.
We talk once in a while during short breaks , but never during exams . I don't want any trouble . Especially with that glasses woman , her eyes were really sharp with the glasses of course.
When I got outside, I scanned the area ,my eyes caught joy and Esther ranting to Dayo and Teni as usual.
Teni was waving at me , I smiled and walked up to them.
"Mercy mama, she's finally out." Dayo said recieving a pinch from Joy immediately.
I laughed at the pained expression on Dayo's face . The three of them ehn , they are like cat and rat but they're actually really close.
Teni walked closer to me and hugged me , making the others coo.
"Congratulations." He said his head placed on my head.
"You too babe." I said and pulled out of the hug , the cooing looks on their face was enough to send me on another fit of laughter.
"Who else is hungry?" I asked when we all decided to leave. We were inside campus and that iya Moria's restaurant was closeby.
Everyone else raised their hands ,
"I haven't even touched food today as you're seeing me. " Dayo said making the others hiss , even me.
"Who has eaten here?" I asked ,
"Anyway let's go to iya Moria's place, it's on me as a way of congratulating everyone." I said with a grin.
Dayo stopped walking, and turned to me , he raised both of his hands up , "mama ooo. Straight A's na e u go get."
"Amen!" The rest chorused .
"Money go join money."
"Amen!"
After lots of prayers ,
"Thank you oo .. let's go." I said ,
"Your friends ehn , they're not serious." Teni whispered in my ears.
"If I blow you , were they not your friends first." I said ,
He put his hands across my shoulders and as usual we were at the back.
"So I was wondering , should we go on a date. " I grinned at that , a date will surely be good. And we need some alone time without it just being in class .
"Yes of course." I said back , he brought me closer to his body as we kept talking. We've became close , as close as we were when we started dating. Or so I think.
"What did you choose in number fifteen?" He asked ,
"A na , I told you when we were doing question and answer yesterday night. Did you fail it?"
"I don't even know , how did you even remember what option A is?"
"I have good memory bro ." I said smugly making him chuckle.
"My one and only babe. Babe with the best memory."
"Thank you..thank you. You got it."
"What are you doing after we finish eating?"
What was I doing, Hakeem and I had planned a mini party, just the two of us. We'll cook fried rice and chicken and also buy some drinks and beers. Well it was perfectly pictured and before everyone thinks there's something there , I believe there's nothing.
Just friendship/roommate's celebration. But I'm sure Teni will take it the other way and start with his I don't like him thing.
"Nothing much , just staying at home and cooking , and drinking." I simply said, I wasn't lying.
"With who?" He asked again , okay? Is he my dad , even my dad don't ask questions like these , okay, my dad's worse.
"My roommate dummy and why are you asking questions like this?"
"I don't know , I just don't trust you with that boy." He said again , i didn't talk , just kept on walking.
So I was dating someone who didn't trust me after everything, out of the both of us who's supposed to be having trust issues . It's supposed to be the other way round and each time I talk about Hakeem he acts like he can't trust me. Well he has said it all , he can't.
"Babe. "
"What do you mean by you don't trust me?"
"I didn't mean it like that."
"How did you mean it Teni. Today is a happy day so don't spoil it for me."
I said and thankfully we were already there. We all walked inside , everyone walked to the counter to order for their for, the restaurant was even filled up.
This amala joint is really popular and the fact that people have not eaten or for any other thing made the restaurant bubble up.
When we were done ordering we walked to an empty round table and chair. Thankfully it had enough chairs. Teni and I were sitted on the right side facing the counter while joy and Esther sitting adjacent to us. Dayo had his chair at the end .
After minutes of talking and waiting, the waitress brought the plates. Each of us took our own plate and started eating , everyone was quite hungry.
While the rest were talking and eating I just kept quiet and faced my amala.
Suddenly a roll of the amala went to the wrong throat pipe , making me choke and cough, Teni quickly passed a bottle water to me.
I opened it and drank up to half in a gulp. I looked forward and saw Fikunmi with a group of people ordering for food.
She wore a crazy jeans and black t-shirt but still managed to look so good. As if noticing my stare , she turned and smiled at my direction, I waved for her to come closer, her smile wavered before she faced the group of people to tell them something .
They looked at my direction before smiling and talking to her back, finally she walked up to us. I stood up and gave her a brief hug.
"I haven't been seeing you, why is your face so scarce?"
"Don't mind me Jo." She said, everyone's eyes was on us, even Teni, who was smiling at her.
Wow, look at how he's smiling brightly like how a baby would smile when you wiggle a toy in front of him for the first time .
I stared at him surprised with that expression but quickly faced Fikunmi back. After everything she waved goodbye and walked to meet her friends.
I walked back to my chair,
"That girl is fine oo." Joy said , I nodded.
"Invite me to your house one day." Dayo said.
"Dayo , please just eat." Joy said ,he hissed but faced his food.
"Have you met Fikunmi after that time we went on a date?" I asked Teni. He dropped his plastic fork , and turned to look at me.
"No I haven't, why are you asking?"
He said back ,
"No reason, you just seemed to have seen eachother."
"But we haven't."
"I heard you the first time."
"Okay."
I didn't say anything again just faced my plate and ate slowly so I won't have another for of cough .
When we were done, I walked to the country and paid the money before meeting then at the door.
"Let's go." I said and they all nodded saying they're thanks.
"Guys it's okay oo. Don't worry about it " I groaned out.
We stopped a cab, Teni and I , were going to the gate while the rest walked to their hostel.
"I'm going to the hospital later."
"Really? How's she, and I told you I would like to come along."
"She's still not able to see visitors. When she is we'll both go. I promise."
I nodded and brought out my phone.
God should please wake the girl up.

My phone vibrated again in my pockets. I brought it out and it was a text from Hakeem saying he'll be back soon.
I didn't want to go to an empty home so I decided to just go to Deborah's apartment straight.
I knocked at their door and immediately the door opened. Deborah hugged me
"Congrats babe." She said.
"You too." I said back. She pulled back and walked inside.
I followed her,
"Is Fikunmi back?" I asked
"Yeah but she's going out again , on a date or something." She answered.
"Wow, no wonder she's always busy." I said making Deborah laugh.
"I'm slowly losing my girl to uni boys. I'll be the only simgle one soon enough." She said dramatically.
And at the same time Fikunmi entered the room, she was shocked to see me , wasn't she hearing my voice? But let's forget that ,
She wore a white tight gown which reached above her knees making her legs look longer.
"Babes you're here, how do I look?"
I made an attempt to whistle like how boys always do. But didn't get it.
"Any boy would trip."
"I know right." Deborah added.
I grabbed my phone from the centre table and checked the message. Hakeem was already here.
"Got to go girls." I said.
I stood up and left their apartment. I climbed the staircase and reached mine.
Hakeem's shoe was at the entrance indicating that he was already in.
"Good evening ."I yelled out, I walked to the kitchen and meet different nylons on the counter with the days boy standing in front of them.
"You're the best Hakeem. You bought it?" I said with a grin. He mirrored mine,
"You said you were tired now. And send that tiktok video to me." He was probably talking about the one I used as my status as usual.
"Guy download the app Jo." I removed the chicken from the nylon and started rinsing it.
"Don't worry I will." He whined .
"Better sef." I said back.
..........
After two hours of bickering and cooking , we were finally done and it came out well.
I took a picture of the fried rice with my special seasoned chicken beside it and sat down on the floor facing the TV.
Hakeem was on his phone while eating. He had a canned beer beside him while I had Fanta beside me. I cannot kill myself.
Suddenly Hakeem started laughing at something.
"Mercy come and watch.... Chai." He said and passed the phone to me.
I collected it and looked at the screen only to see a familiar looking face starting at me.
She was chuckling and doing the 'don't leave me' challenge.
I checked her profile and the video was actually made today, she even posted during the rest of the week.
I stood up straight , this can't be real.
Ghenghen who did she see?
And I was thinking on starting a short story but I need a cover.
