"After we leave the bank, we're going straight to the airport. I know how some of y'all are. You better leave enough time to check in, and go through TSA and customs. If anybody is late and misses their flight, I don't want to hear any complaints." I told Dennis over the phone.
Tomorrow is my birthday and we are headed to Dubai today. The guys are bringing their girlfriends: Daniel and Eva, Tre and Choyce, and Dennis and Karin.
Tae and I are the only ones who won't have our partners on this trip, so I guess we're stuck with each other. I hang out with the girls sometimes. They're really cool. It's just sometimes I want to stay home.
"We'll be there on time. Don't worry."
"Did you guys weigh your bags beforehand?"
"I know none of mine are over 30 pounds. Karin's are probably overweight. She'll handle that on her own."
"Don't do her like that." I laughed.
"Nobody told her to pack like we were moving. We're only going to be there for four days."
"You know what? I'll see y'all soon."
"Okay. Bye."
"Thank you again for taking us to the airport, Shawn."
"He didn't have a choice." Tae rolled his eyes.
"I didn't have a what?" Tae didn't let out a peep, causing me to laugh as Shawn looked at him. "That's what I thought. It's cool. It's the least I could do since I can't make the trip."
"I understand. The way some of these contractors will waste your money if you don't supervise them is crazy, but I'm proud of you for opening your second restaurant."
"Thanks. I can't wait to plan the grand opening."
"It's definitely going to be packed."
"I already got my outfit ready for that night. I can picture myself wiping away the tears as you thank me in front of everyone for helping make it possible." Tae commented.
"How did you support me when you come to the restaurant always trying to eat for free?" Chile. Thank God we're about to park. I don't want to be here when things pop off.
"I tell you if the food is good or not."
"My paying customers can do that."
"This is obviously a conversation between A and B. So I'll C my way out of it." I got out of the car and walked to the bank's entrance. Before reaching the lobby, I went to one of the ATMs and it said it was temporarily unavailable. I looked at the screen of the other one and it displayed the same message. How are both of them out of order?
Now I have to go to he counter. Thankfully, there's only one person in line and there are two tellers. I stood in line, checking my email. I need to clean this sh*t out. All of these promotional emails are getting annoying. Within five minutes, one of the tellers ushered me to her.
"Good morning. How can I help you today?"
"Hi. I wanted to make a withdrawal."
"I can help you with that. You can insert your card whenever you're ready." I followed her instructions. "Okay. Is it from the checking or savings?"
"Checking."
"How much would you like to take out?"
"$1,500."
"Confirm the amount on the screen for me." I looked at the keypad and pressed the yes button. "Great. How would you like the bills?"
"$1,000 in hundreds and the rest in twenties please."
"Okay. I'll be right back." While she went in the back, I took one of the free, people lollipops and two red ones for the couple in the car.
"Would like a receipt with your balance?"
"Yes please."
"Here you go. I'll be right back with an envelope."
"Okay. Thank you." The balance should be around $32,000 right now after this transaction. I looked at the bottom of the receipt to see the available balance of $57,415.83.
"Here it is. Do you need anything else?"
"I just have a quick question. Is this from my checking account?"
"Yes ma'am. Is there a problem?"
"Yes, it shouldn't be that much. I'm not sure where this extra $25,000 is coming from?"
"Let me check. I see there was a check deposited to your account this morning. I'll print it out for you."
"Thank you." Check? There's nobody owing me money. Even if it's a birthday gift, I don't think any of my friends would send me that much. "Here it is." I looked at the top left of the check to see the name of the sender.
"Kyle Laurent." At the bottom I read the for part and it said for being amazing. I smiled, shaking my head. He is full of surprises. He knows I would never take that much from him. That's why he went straight to the bank.
"Do you know who the person is?"
"Yes I do. It just came as a surprise. Thank you for all your help."
"It was pleasure. Have a beautiful day."
"You too." When I stepped outside of the bank, I called Kyle.
"Good morning gorgeous."
"Good morning handsome. I saw how you worked your magic at the bank."
"I don't know what you mean."
"Stop playing. You don't think it's too much?"
"You deserve every penny. A thousand for every year of your life. Even if I could have given you a million per year, it wouldn't be enough because you're priceless." He is so sweet.
"Thank you. I really appreciate it. You're making me miss you even more."
"I miss you too, but I want you to enjoy your birthday and the trip. I'll call you later. Have a safe flight, I love you."
"I love you too. Bye babe." I went over to Shawn's car and opened the door to find the two of them locking lips.
"I see the love birds have made up." I handed them the candy.
"Let's go before we're late." Tae blushed, looking out the window. Don't act shy now. We got to the airport under 45 minutes and got checked in among the chaos that was going on. After we located our gate, Tae went to Starbucks while I stayed behind. I sat down with our carry ons and become engrossed with playing Solitaire on my phone.
"There's the birthday girl." I heard Daniel say.
"Hey guys." I greeted them, trying not to lose my focus. I needed to beat my best time record. All of a sudden, my phone was snatched from my hands.
"Dude." The culprit was Tre.
"Not you acting like an old lady."
"Shut up." I hugged all of them. My eyes crossed with Dewayne's.
"Hey."
"Hi." Kennedy gave me a hug, and Dewayne and I just looked at each other before walking away.
Dewayne was invited way before our falling out. As long as he doesn't start none, won't be none. In less than an hour, they started boarding the flight and we got on first since we were first class.
"Would like you anything to drink?"
"A Coke is fine. Thank you."
"I'll have a mojoito with an extra squeeze of lime. Thank you." Tae requested.
"It's 10 in the morning."
"Because your sugar water is better."
"I'll let you have that."
"So I've got a surprise for you."
"What is it?"
"It's a person but I'm not telling you who. You'll see who it is when we touch down." It better not be my Momma. I haven't confronted her about my Dad yet because I know how she is. She will continue to lie to your face even when you have proof that she was wrong. I get stuck everyone I remember that she wants me to come dress shopping for her wedding. I'll worry about all of that after I come back. I just need to relax and have a good time.
"I'm not sure I trust you."
"You'll love it."
"Okay." I put my AirPods in and closed my eyes.
It took 18 hours to get there, including a two and half hour layover in Toronto. I felt well rested, but my legs were a little sore. It's 4:17 am right now and it's dark outside. Tae had a limo pick us up to take us to our temporary residence.
"This is nice." Eva raved as we entered the spot.
"I'm impressed. You did a great job."
"Thank you. So there's two villas we will be staying in. Each one has three bedrooms. I, Nicole, Tre and Choyce will be here while the rest of y'all will be over there. Y'all can fight over who gets the master over there. Obviously, Nicole will get this one."
"So where's the surprise?"
"In your room." He better not be blowing smoke up my *ss. I went to grab the handles of my bags, but Tae stopped me.
"Don't worry. I got it." I nodded and started walking towards the bedrooms. I noticed the rest of the crew were coming too, so I stopped and turned around.
"Why are y'all following me?"
"We want to see who it is."
"Y'all are so nosy."
"It's this one." Tae pointed. I opened the door to see red rose petals all over the floor and heart shaped balloons touching the ceiling. I didn't see anyone until I moved further inside and turned the corner to see a man with his back facing us. I know that's not who I think it is. He slowly turned around and revealed himself.
"Stop. Are you serious?" I asked, covering my face.
"Surprise baby girl."
"Baby, I can't believe you're here." I hugged him. "Why did you lie to me?"
"I'm sorry, but Tae and I wanted it to be a surprise."
"I guess you're forgiven. I love the new look." Who knew he was sexier bald?
"Thank you." He kissed me.
"Did I do good?" Tae asked.
"Yes, thank you."
"Care to introduce us?" Eva smiled.
"Right, pardon my manners. Kyle, these are my friends and their girlfriends: Daniel, Eva, Tre, Choyce, Dennis, Karin, Dewayne, and Kennedy. You already know Tae. Guys, this is my boyfriend Kyle."
"It's nice to meet y'all."
"When did this happen?"
"We made it official a week ago."
"Awww congrats." Karin gushed.
"And you didn't tell us?"
"I was going to, but I wanted y'all to be able to meet him in person."
"Why didn't you tell us?" Choyce questioned Tae.
"You know some of y'all can't hold water for sh*t. We'll excuse you guys. Be ready at 11 for the yacht."
"Wait, we got questions."
"Save them for later." Tae pushed them out of the room and winked at us before closing the door.
"Anybody who isn't ready by 10:59 will get left!" We heard him yell.
"How was your trip?"
"It was good."
"How did you two put this together?"
"I hit him up. I knew I was only going to be in Toronto for a week."
"Thank you for being here."
"Always."
"So is this my present or should I be expecting more?"
"I can give you a sneak peak of what's more to come."
"Say less." I smirked. He picked me up, and I wrapped my arms and legs around him as he held me against the wall.
After getting my first round of birthday sex, Kyle and I showered. Then he took a nap while I looked at my options of what to wear on the yacht. When 11 came around, everybody got on the bus Tae rented. They're supposed to be serving brunch on the yacht so the driver better step on it because I'm starving.
"You look kind of familiar. It's like I've seen you on the news before." Tre stated.
"You been arrested before?" Daniel inquired.
"Once, during a protest. I've done a couple of interviews and sometimes my work goes viral."
"What do you do?"
"I'm an artist."
"Wait. Are you the same Kyle that did that painting for Spike Lee?"
"Yeah that's me."
"You're really talented bro."
"Thanks."
"That means I'll get a discount when I want to make an order."
"Nuh uh. It's full price or nothing. Don't play with my man." I set the record straight.
"She's in charge." Kyle shrugged.
"I see you." Tae smirked. "So Kyle, do you like playing music in the background when you two have sex?" I covered my face. He is so inappropriate. I personally don't mind, but I'm a sucker for RnB. I'll probably start singing while I'm busting it wide open.
"I'm cool with it. The sounds my baby makes are already music to my ears."
"Good answer." The guys clapped and dapped him up.
We soon got to the marina and hopped onto the yacht. I had the time of my life. I was throwing back shots, Kyle did body shots off of me, and I shook my money maker back on him. Me and the girls got into the water. I didn't care about getting my hair wet because Tae is here to fix it. I wasn't drunk, but Kyle carried me back to the bus when we were leaving.
"The chef is coming at 6 and dinner starts at 7 sharp."
"Are we dressing up?"
"Not too dressy. Just like what you would wear to a bar."
I did my own makeup, and Tae blow dried and straightened my hair while giving me a bang. I looked at myself in the mirror.
I look motherf*cking good.
"I'm going to need you to make a grand entrance."
"Really?"
"B*tch, it's your birthday! The night belongs to you. Show them h*es who's boss."
"Fine. You better record it right the first time. No blurry sh*t."
"I got you love." Kyle kissed my cheek. I grinned, walking to the corridor, waiting for my cue. After a couple of minutes, everybody was ready. "Ladies and gentlemen, we present the woman of the hour, Nicole Ariana Fletcher."
"Don't play with her! Nicole the Don. Trina, move over because this is the baddest b*tch."
"And she's all mine." I couldn't help but blush and laugh at the both of them.
"Okay, don't do Trina like that but I appreciate the love."
The chef was highly recommended for a reason because every course was bomb. The cake he made for me was beautiful.
"Okay. Time for gifts." Tae announced.
"Awww, you guys shouldn't have."
"Say less. I still got the receipt." Dennis removed the gift from the table.
"Give me that." I took it back and opened. Dennis and Karin got me VIP Burna Boy concert tickets. Daniel and Eva got me a Chanel bag. Tre and Choyce got me a $1000 Delta gift card, and Tae got me these Bottega heels I've been eyeing. Finally, Dewayne and Kennedy got me a pair of AirPods Max with an engraving of my initials.
"Thank you everyone. I'm really grateful."
"You haven't opened mine." Kyle said.
"You got something else for me?"
"Yes. Now I know you said that you wanted to get this yourself for your 30th birthday, but I said why wait."
"What?" I'm a little confused.
"Just open it." He handed me a small box with rainbow wrapping paper. There are obvious signs he struggled wrapping it with the uneven cutting and excess tape.
"The wrapping is crazy." Dennis chuckled.
"I tried."
"I think you did a great job." I kissed him.
"Anything for that d*ck." Tae coughed.
"I'm sick of you."
"Prepare to be sick of me this whole trip." I rolled my eyes and continued removing the wrapping. I was able to see the top of the box. It had a dark green cover and I saw it said Audemars Piguet.
"Kyle, tell me you're joking." I glanced at him.
"What is it?" I took off the cover to reveal the black box. I opened it to see a watch. It had white diamonds and a pink dial.
"Damn."
"Maybe I need to become an artist."
"I'm saying."
"This is absolutely beautiful. Is this really for me?"
"Of course. Let's see how it looks on you." Kyle took it out of the box and put it on my wrist.
"I almost don't know what to do with myself. This is too much. What did I do to deserve this?"
"The way you make me happy. You deserve to get spoiled."
"Awwww." Kennedy cooed.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Follow the drip, my jewelry sick. Pneumonia pink diamonds, got the corona." The girls and Tae sang.
"Period!" I screamed. "Okay. Let me stop playing and put it back in its box. I don't want anything happening to it."
"So my birthday is February 24." Daniel told Kyle.
"Mine is coming up soon on September 1st and I like jewelry too." Dennis added, causing us to laugh.
"Here are complimentary ear plugs for everyone." Tae handed them out.
"You are so extra. Thank you all again. I hope you guys have a good night."
"Everyone get some rest because you're going to need that energy for the safari tomorrow."
"They got jungles here?"
"It's in the desert."
"So wouldn't it be a desert tour?"
"It's actually called a desert safari. Google it b*tch and play with somebody else. Good night."
"I got something for that *ss. Sleep with one eye open tonight."
"Ouuuu I'm so scared." Tre flinched and Tae took off running.
This is like the best birthday ever.

Dewayne
I closed the door after Kennedy and I entered our room.
"Nicole and Kyle are so cute."
"I guess." I mumbled, sitting on the bed and taking off my shoes.
"They look like they're really in love with each other. I wouldn't be surprised if they got married within a year."
"Yeah right."
"Do you have a problem with him or with them being together?"
"Nah, I don't even know him like that and Nicole is grown. She can be with whoever she wants."
"Okay if you say so. I was thinking we could have our own fun." She said wrapping her arms around me from the back.
"What do you have in mind?"
"Just lay back." I followed her command and she climbed over my torso. Kennedy leaned down to kiss me, but all of a sudden all I could see was Nicole. I immediately moved my head to the side.
"What's wrong?" I closed and opened my eyes to see Kennedy's face again.
"Nothing. I could have sworn I just saw a fly."
"Dewayne, stop playing." I flipped us over and stood up.
"Take that sh*t off." Kennedy is fine. She's slim thick with some perky titties.
"Damn you're really excited tonight."
"I hope you're ready."
"Bring it on daddy." I dove deep inside her, but all I could was Nicole in front of me. When I couldn't it anymore, I made Kennedy get on her knees.
"F*ck." All I could see was Nicole arching her back and her fat *ss pushing back on me, rippling like water. I tried closing my eyes, but that couldn't stop the image of Nicole in my mind. There's nothing I can do at this point, so I went along with it. I don't know why, but imagining I was stroking in and out of Nicole turned me on more than usual.
I completely zoned out. I didn't hear Kennedy telling me to pull out. Luckily, I did before it was too late. After Kennedy cleaned herself up, I put on a robe and went to the kitchen to grab a beer. I went outside to get some fresh air.
The two villas share a pool, and there's a daybed covered by a canopy on the left and right sides of the pool. I looked over and saw someone laying in one of them. It was Nicole. She was on her stomach with a robe on, but I could see the bottom of her butt poking out. I walked over to see her scrolling on her phone.
"Hey." She looked up and smiled at me, sitting up.
"Hey. I thought you would be in bed by now."
"I'm not really ready to crash so I came out here to enjoy the breeze. I noticed you were out here so I decided to check on you. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Nicole replied, tucking her legs under her and closing her robe.
"You cold?"
"No, I'm just respecting boundaries."
"What do you mean?"
"I don't want anybody to get the wrong idea if they come out here."
"Man, fuck what they think."
"Right." It was awkward between us for a good minute. She was staring at her hands while I couldn't take my eyes off of her before I spoke up.
"I'm sorry."
"About what?"
"No matter if I believed what you said about Kennedy or not, I should have never talked to you like that. I'm sorry and that will never happen again."
"It's okay. I forgive you."
"You sure?"
"Yes Dewayne. We're good."
"Can I get a hug?"
"Why not?" She laughed. I leaned over and embraced her. She smells so good. "Is that why you've been so quiet?"
"Yeah. I didn't want to make matters worse by saying the wrong thing and ruining your trip."
"Well, now you can enjoy the rest of the trip and have fun. Go get some sleep."
"You okay out here by yourself?"
"Yeah, Kyle should be coming out soon."
"It looks like you really like him."
"I do."
"And he seems to be crazy about you."
"I would hope so."
"I'm happy that you found someone."
"Thank you."
"If he ever hurts you, just let me know and we'll go rough him up."
"Okay. I'll keep that in mind."
"Good night. Well, good morning since it's almost 1."
"I'll see you later. Sweet dreams." I slowly walked away. When I was about to re-enter the villa, I saw Kyle come out with a bunch of blankets and towels. Nicole removed the ties from the curtains, and then you couldn't see the two of them after they climbed into the bed.
I looked down at my hand to notice the tight grip I had on the bottle.
