It took a second to adjust my eyes to this particular sight, But my eyes focused on it The sight of a single star looming out of the darkness Made my heart want to soar and do flips That single star lit up the whole sky Itâs light so powerful, yet beautiful It made me want to cry tears of joy, Really, Iâm not going to lie Then another star came into sight, Then a second, and a third, and they kept multiplying, creating a fantastic view.
The sky was now the same colour as my eyes-
A brilliant, one-of-a-kind blue.
I reached out to touch them, But knowing that touching them was impossible I put my hands back down and admired this gorgeous view A view so remarkable, I just stared at all those stars, Not knowing what else to do The stars were so great in number, I bet there were more stars up in the sky then the number of grains of sand on the Earth Then a cluster of stars slowly began to descend from the sky, Looking as though they didnât really have a destination in particular.
But then they circled overhead me and started to swirl around me like a tornado.
I stared at the cluster with astonished eyes And, as if the stars were telling me, I suddenly knew what to do.
The stars were now shinning an electric blue.
I reached out to embrace them and they lifted me into the sky, As if I was a feather And this time, I wasnât scared I smiled, because I was finally out of the rainy weather.
