Sorry guys, I know I've been taking years but here it is chapter 24 enjoy

I always wanted to be a mother, to have it come into fruition though? T-that's a whole different playing field.

Only thing left to do is to tell my family.

I looked up at Mal, practically feeling his smile through my haze; I couldn't help but smile back. He's just so cute when he's excited. When we got back to the house, he set me lightly on my feet instantly wrapping his arm around my waist as he guided us inside.

"Should we tell them now?" Mal whispered silently in my ear. I chuckled before nodding,

"Hey, everyone come to the living room!" Mal yelled leading me to the large living space.

Everyone walked in, including Heaths pack, I took in all the faces of those who care and matter to me. I felt a sense of gratitude and a wall of tears. Quickly turning to the side I wiped away the silent runners. Rubbing my arms comfortingly, before placing a kiss on my head Mal smiled before focusing on our family.

"Hello everyone, we have something important to tell you guys." He said never losing that confident smile,

Letting me take the lead I stepped forward, placing a hand on my belly. "We just came from the doctors office and got news that we're pregnant." A smile took over my face as they erupted in cheers and excitement.

"I'm gonna be a grandma!"

Whizzing over to me in a hurry, placing her manicured fingers over my flat tummy she said,"Oh my baby's a mommy." Looking at Mal she said,

"That's what you were rambling about earlier." She smiled, hitting Mals' shoulder lightly.

"Congratulations my baby." She took my shoulders in her hands.

"Ummm can I have a word with Jadah," A voice cut through our celebration. Rubbing her hands together with a timid disposition, there stood Lauren.

Mal left us alone after kissing my cheek.

Having trouble finding her words she stared at me, tears pooled in her eyes before she sniffled and forced a smile.

"You're a mommy now, congratulations!" She rushed out excitedly. I struggled to look at , opting for the ground instead I lowered my head and smiled back,

"Thank you." I responded politely, my attention averted at the sounds of laughter coming from Mal and my twin brothers. I smiled happily seeing them chopping it up, getting along.

"I want to apologize for not being the best mother to you," my eyes lazily reverted back to her, I could feel the urge to rub my forehead stressfully.

I am honestly I'm tired of having this conversation.

I just want to celebrate my pregnancy in peace, with my family. Can I just have one night where I don't have to emotionally unpack?

I took her hand in mine,"Thank you for apologizing but I don't have the mental capacity to hear about all that you're sorry for. Thanks for the congratulations but I'm ending this conversation." I smiled respectfully trying to walk away but she didn't let go of my hand.

I felt a heat wave run through me I was ready to explode; pressing my lips together I zapped her lightly as I forced her to let my hand go.

"Ah, ouch!" She shrieked, I took that opportunity to book it. She did nothing but follow after me. It was like she had word vomit. She just wouldn't stop! Mal sensing my irritation found me, instantly coming to my aid.

Lauren halted in her tracks, backing off as Mal hit her with a stare that left no room for her overbearing conviction. Breathing a sigh of relief I relaxed, taking the liberty to rub my aching temples. I can't let her, or anyone stress me out at this time. Opening my eyes after feeling zen, I felt him before I saw him. My dad stood in front of me focused and even astounded. Looking down on my chest sat a glowing crescent moon.

Moving at the speed of light he turned to Mal,"Turn around son."

Turning to Mal I gasped as a sun symbol glowed on his chest.

Gasps filled the room,

Conjuring up the nerve to ask,"What are you guys overreacting for?" My voice was unstable, even I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"To the office now!" Jax demanded leaving no room for an argument.

My family and I headed upstairs, holding Mals' hand I felt confused the whole way. Somewhere along that trek I began holding my belly.

Ew I'm acting like a mom already.

I chuckled silently to myself ignoring Mals' questioning. He'd never understand the conversations in my head.

We entered the office and took a seat. Wasting no time Jax asked,"Where's the book of werewolf history?" Warren got up and went to a large bookcase before he pulled out a giant poorly aged book.

Jax took the book and dropped it dramatically on the table, letting dust fly with a loud thud. It was wrinkly with ancient carvings on it and it had 'Werewolf ancient history' as the title.

He was motioned us to come over.

"Werewolf ancient history. It's everything to know about werewolf's and the great ones here before us. It also contains the story of two very special wolves, Nova and Vincent. You do know this story don't you?" We both looked at each other before shaking our heads. Staying focused, he continued to tell us the tale of Nova and Vincent.

I watched him speak with a glint in his eye as he began,"Nova, just like you Jadah, was a special wolf with rare abilities. Very powerful in the eyes of those around her but weak in the way she saw herself." I squinted at his honest observation.

Fucker.

"Vincent on the other hand, like you Malachi, was a boastful and proud alpha. Aware of all his strengths, exuded the strength of 50 great wolves.  The two very different, like day and night.

One day, Nova discovered she had powers, also like you Jadah, she had many abilities and is the only one known in our history to ever have them. She and Vincent were mates! One day she shifted he was mesmerized by her but she didn't only catch his attention." He looked at us,

"When they noticed her dominant size and presence they were overcome with jealousy, even more so knowing she had more than one ability. She not only was the new Luna of the pack but she also had more power than them. They started planning to revolt against her.

One wolf in particular wanted her more but he wasn't enamored by her. He wanted her powers. His name was Talon, he was also a white wolf but he possessed only one ability, so he built machines that could strip other powerful wolves of their powers." My eyes grew wide.

"She soon became pregnant with a beautiful baby girl, twins in fact. With beautiful blonde hair as gold as the sun, eyes that mirrored the ocean, and skin as dark as night-" Mal cut him off.

"What does this have to do with us?" Mal asked confused, Jax growled at his lack of respect before he spoke.

"I was getting there." He snapped rolling his eyes.

"Long story short, they finally had fought. Vega fought ignoring the fact that she was pregnant. Vincent was elsewhere fighting off the other wolves with powers, although he didn't have abilities he still was strong enough to defend his pack. Just when Talon was about to finish off Vega a stronger but unknown power stopped him. They say it's from the twins power that protected their mother so it was enough to weaken him but not kill him." He finished and I was left shocked.

"Wow." Was all I managed to say.

"And this is where the book comes in at." He opened the ancient book before he flipped through tons of pages, stopping when he came to a page covered in gold; headed at the top in beautiful letters was 'The Moon and Sun'. Then he flipped to the next page and started speaking again.

"The only ones who were ever known or seen with those marks." He gestured to our marks,"Were Vincent and Vega." We both froze."The Sun and Moon marks were only ever spotted on the most powerful wolves in history."

"Meaning?" I asked nervously, nibbling on my bottom lip,

"Meaning this is history repeating its self. The moon goddess paired you both up for a reason and that's to restore the balance in the world by defeating him. You-"

"Defeat him?!" I screamed,"He's supposed to be dead this happened years ago. How can you a-assume we are meant to do something like that? I-I'm pregnant! Dammit, the war was enough but I'm not dying fighting a 300 year old man-"

"Look here in the book." He jammed his finger at a paragraph completely made out in ancient symbols.

"I can't read that." I deadpanned, glaring at me he translated,

"Years after the battle, Talon had continued his studies furthering his research on stripping abilities. We also found elixirs that of which contained Cinnamon, and Panax Ginseng-"

"What's that do?" I looked up at Jax,

"It lengthens your life span."

"Fuck me" I turned around throwing my hand over my forehead,

Lightly turning me around Mal kept his hand firmly around my waist keeping me still.

"We believe he has a son; we found notes, blood, multiple bodies of deceased white wolves who had been severely mutilated, and other disturbing relics in his den. Disciples of the Moon have told us history is destined to repeat itself in 200 years when the next white wolf is conceived."

I couldn't believe it."N-no. This can't be." I stammered shaking my head 'No'.

He placed his hand on my shoulder apologetically,"Baby girl I wouldn't be telling you this if it weren't true" I pulled away and he pulled me back getting eye level,"If it weren't your destiny. I wish I could take this away from you, the last thing I want is my baby out there fighting pregnant with my grand babies." We laughed,"But my baby's strong, she's gonna kick some ass, that's how us Knights roll ain't it baby Jay?" He rumbled with laughter and I cried. He pulled me closer and I felt him shake as he held me tighter, he was scared too.

"I'm scared dad." I whispered when I calmed down, "For my babies, myself, and Mal."

He pulled me back quickly,"Now don't go giving up on me. You're strong and this isn't just you and Mals' burden to carry." He gripped Mals' shoulder and brought him into his side. Mal almost lost his footing, I laughed wiping away my tears.

"We in this together like I told you, you are not alone." I nodded my head and sniffed before putting on a reassuring smile.

"Now let's wrap this up."

"So what happened to her children? Were they able to defeat him?" I asked focused, Mal rubbed my side soothingly.

"Her children died, they sacrificed their lives to defeat him." I nodded my head,

"So his son survived, I bet he survived this long because of that mixture his dad created." Jax nodded his head, I stood up straighter and began walking around,"That means he has his dads teachings and not to mention 200 years of time to test and perfect his machine or powers?" I sighed.

"And since you're apart of Vega and Vincent's bloodline he's coming after you. He will come back and avenge his father." He said. I felt dizzy with all this new information, I sat down on the table rubbing my stomach protectively.

"So does that mean my baby-babies are twins?" I asked suddenly feeling exhausted.

"Yes sweetheart possibly, they might even have a power even greater than we know." He said proudly, I felt tears pour from my eyes as Mal rubbed my back.

"So what do these marks mean?" Mal asked, speaking for me, I was too overwhelmed to even move my lips.

"I'm not sure, what do you think triggered them to appear?" Jax asked right back, this time I looked up to answer.

"When Samantha shot him I tried healing him but it didn't work so I...I don't know honestly, I just know a golden light poured from my chest right before he was healed." I answered. Jax rubbed his chin thinking,

"Golden light huh?" I nodded my head.

"I've never heard of that but let's look in the book." He said and we nodded.

We flipped the page and a page with a large Moon and Sun read,

"It was said that the Sun and the Moon would never meet. Complete and total opposites of each other but when they did they, fell in love, Thats how the stars were made." I smiled at the picture of a moon and sun shining next to each other. The sky was plastered in a peaceful orange and yellow color. I cleared my throat before resuming to read out loud.

"The mark of the sun and moon is one of the most power markings given to two wolves by the Moon and Sun goddess. They represent love and purity, only given to wolves with a soul and bond of that. Vincent and Vega were the only known wolves to possess this Mark, it is said that this Mark amplified their powers and strength ten fold to aid them in protecting the other." I looked up.

"So that golden light was from my.."

"Heart. You both are blessed by both goddesses, and to have their markings is an honor. You are protected and with this mark you will be protected during this battle. Trust the gods and most importantly trust each other during this time. You are protected." Jax answered filling me with ease.

I smiled back before I gazed at Mal who was already staring at me. Pure love and determination was shown in his eyes, I blushed before I pulled him in for a hug and kiss.

"I love you angel." He said and I smiled.

"I love you too Mal." I said nuzzling our noses together before pulling back.

I felt so much better to not be going through this alone, to have my amazing counterpart by my side, we're gonna be okay.

I struggled to take my eyes off of him but when I did I noticed Jax looking at me great hearted. I smiled back before I looked down rubbing my stomach.

"I promise to protect you little ones."

I looked back to the book and saw no more golden pages, only dark blue eerie looking ones. I glanced up at Jax,

"What's this story about?" I asked, Jax shrugged before he took the book and put it away. I was about to protest but I stopped myself,

"Probably just another old story." I thought.

"Now that we know this, we have to show you something else." He said going over to Mal's desk and pulling out a balled up piece of paper.

He sighed before he sat it on the table, Mal picked it up and unballed it before holding it out for the both of us to see. I read it and gasped before Mal dropped it and held me up so I didn't fall, Those same words echoed in my head.

"It would be ashamed if something were to happen to your mate or precious pups. In due time Jadah."
