We continued our trek silently through the forest. Then it dawned on me.
"Why aren't we driving-"
"Wait!" I yelled stopping. "We need our things from my car." I said and started looking around for the asshole who had my keys. My eyes scanned over everyone's heads until I spotted his black hair. He kinda resembled Jax.
I pointed to him,"You. Give me my keys." I demanded and he growled at my command which had no effect on me what so ever. I rolled my eyes held out my hand until a voice from the side of me spoke.
"Tyler give Jadah her keys back." Jax commanded.
Incredulously looking at his dad he shouted,"How do we know we can trust them? What if they disappear and drive off with our valuables or something?"
Turning to face his son slowly,"Are you questioning my judgement son?" Shifting his eyes nervously he slowly lowered his head. "Give her the keys, they aren't our prisoners, we can't expect them to trust us if we don't trust them."
"Here Jadah." He said bringing me my keys.
"Thanks Tyler" I said with a satisfied smile.
He gave me a fake smile before walking back to his friends and we resumed our walk.
"I'll have someone bring your car around later, when we get to the pack house leave your keys on the counter." Jax called over his shoulder careful of Gins ears.
Georgia was on my side and as time passed the twins eventually came up and spoke to us.
"I'm Max and this is my brother Sam." He said both of the boys have golden Blonde hair, but Max has brown eyes, and Sam has blue eyes. I smiled and waved, Georgia gave a little nod.
Then the two dudes with the Rrown and Red hair came over to us.
"We might as well introduce ourselves as well, Im Kendall and this is Anthony." Kendall had the red hair, and brown eyes, and Anthony had brown hair, and black eyes. Bottom line is they're all handsome. I smiled at them then Kendall spoke.
"You know, I think you left a foot print on my penis when you kicked it." They all shuddered from the memory. Georgia busted out laughing and I blushed shrugging apologetically.
"Sorry about that," I spoke up," I feel bad about it now that I know you all if that makes you feel any better!"
"No hard feelings." He said holding up his hands in surrender.
We got silent again, Tyler then grabbed my arm swiftly stopping us so the others were ahead of us,"I don't care about what happened at your old pack, I don't trust you or your friends. My dad may believe your sob story but I don't, whose mate would actually reject them? That's a myth and you know it..." his grip tightened a bit,"I won't bully you because that's lame but I am watching you." He finished before walking ahead leaving me behind.
Rubbing my arm I realized I couldn't even speak up and defend myself against his accusations because his tone left no room for interruption. His power is evident at such a young age. He'll make a great alpha in time.
"You must wanna get left behind huh?" Georgia said pulling me forward,
"Sorry, I needed to rest a bit" turning to look back at me she scrunched her nose before sniffing again.
"Why do you smell like...What's his name?...Tyler?"
"He pulled me to the side to apologize for acting like an ass earlier that's all." I said convincingly,
Brushing it off as nothing she kept pulling me until we reached the group. I locked eyes with Tyler and inconspicuously he nodded his head thanking me for keeping our actual conversation under wraps. I nodded back before continuing to walk.
After walking for 40 minutes in the woods with no underwear, shoes and just a t-shirt on, I surpassed uncomfortable. My hair's a mess, I stink like the woods and sweat, my feet have blisters tougher than cow heid, and I'm starving. The boys on the other hand don't have a drop of sweat of their handsome faces, Ginger was still asleep and Georgia was just as bad off as I was.
"Carry me on your back Jadah." She groaned throwing her arms over my shoulders, dragging her feet.
"Absolutely not, but you can carry me" I laughed throwing my weight on her.
She laughed almost losing her footing before holding my weight up.
After another 10 minutes I was fed up.
"How far is it to the pack house?!" I yelled in frustration. Tyler answered me.
"Maybe if you guys didn't run so fast or far into the woods we would've been home but no. We have another 20 minutes before we get home." Tyler said causing me to cut my eyes at him with a glare. I had time today,
"Well stupid we wouldn't have ran if it wasn't 5 guys chasing us. You could have left us alone and we would have been gone out of your stupid pack but no, you chased us and that's how we got here." I said frustratedly feeling those all too familiar tears prick at the corners of my eyes.
"Okay enough, shift. We're all hungry and tired." Jax said and I froze. I looked at Georgie and she had the same thought I did. I know the boys have seen me but they didn't really see me. They were too distracted defending their territory against "rouges".
"Amaris?" I asked her.
"Yes Jadah I know they want us to shift. We can trust them, they mean no ill will towards us." She assured me.
"Thanks Amaris. You've been pretty silent are you okay?"
"It's just so hard. I miss him so much." She said then disappearing in my mind.
When I came back to reality, everyone was shifted except for us. Georgie, Gin, and I. Jax was the biggest wolf I have ever seen, He was a big Midnight black wolf with bright brown eyes. Tyler looks the same but with bright green eyes.
The twins were the brightest wolves I've ever seen. They have golden yellow fur as bright as the sun and their eye color was the same as their human forms but Max was just a little bigger.
Kendall and Anthony are big and brown with big black eyes, They're pretty scary. Martin is black with brown running all over his back with super bright blue eyes. And last Levi. He is a light brown wolf with black eyes. After examining their wolves I turned back to the girls who looked at me. I blew out a breath before speaking,
"We can trust them. They won't hurt us." I said and they nodded. Gingers eyes started glowing gold, Georgia's eyes flickered to red, and mine turned to their piercing blue. I felt my bones cracking but it didn't hurt as much. I felt the tingling run over my body just before my fur sprouted.
When I opened my eyes my eyesight was sharper, and my hearing was too, I turned to look at Georgie who gave me an uncertain nod. I looked at Gin and she was in the middle of us sitting with her big bushy tail wrapped around her.
When I looked back at the guys their wolf eyes stared at my form, the white fur, and blue eyes. I started to feel uncomfortable and I trotted over to Jax and nudged his side. He nodded his big head and soon we were running full speed to their house.
While we were running I felt a pair of eyes burning my back so I turned and saw Bright green eyes staring at me. It was Tyler.
I slowed down so we were running at the same pace and I nudged him so he would stop staring but his wolf must've thought I was starting a game because he nudged me back.
I nudged him harder and he swayed to the side then he came back harder and pushed me. I rolled out of formation onto the grass, I saw everyone stop and he ran over to me. Like the speed of lightning his big black paws were in front of my face. I shook my fur before standing up and pretending like he wasn't there but when he least expected it I pounced on him.
We were rolling and nipping at each other trying to pin one another down before Tyler got that opportunity Jax's bark made us stop and return back to the group. I looked at Tyler and nudged him before taking off with the group again.
My wolfs mood was slowly rising; being in wolf form, running free with other wolves who accepted us, and getting some male attention from Tyler, which is so odd because the happiness and security I felt with Tyler is something you'd only feel with your mate. That pull and twinge of pain for my mate is still there, I know she misses him and the strangest thing is, I miss him too.
Soon we were in front of a massive mansion, I stopped and stared at it especially since this will be my new home. It had a beautiful marble water fountain in the middle of a cobble stone circle driveway, beautiful blood red roses decorated the sides and black fences surrounded it.
I felt something being thrown at me from the side of my face and when I looked down it was a shirt. I looked up at whoever threw it at me and it was Tyler. He was standing there shirtless, his eight pack was out for display and he had on a pair of loose hanging shorts that showed his v-line. When he cleared his throat I snapped out of it.
He was blushing yet smirking, I rolled my eyes at him before picking up the t-shirt with my mouth and trotting behind a nearby tree.
I thought about my long legs, my arms, and my beautiful brown hair. Soon I heard and felt the familiar clicking of my bones snapping back in place and before long I was standing naked behind a tree with my hair hanging past my shoulders.
I quickly pulled on the t-shirt before walking from around the tree. Everyone was standing around I guess waiting for me and I gave a small smile before walking over to Georgia and Ginger.
I put my head on Georgia's shoulder as we waited for Jax to open the gates for us to get in.
He typed in a code and soon the gates were creaking open, We all walked in and I could feel the cool stones underneath my feet and oddly it felt good like they were massaging my aching feet. We walked to the tall glass door and before Jax could even open it a woman with beautiful orange hair, black eyes, and creamy caramel skin pulled it open.
She gave Jax a loving smile and was about to hug him when she noticed Gin in his arms, she paused. Levi and Martin then moved in front of me and Georgia, hiding us.
"Honey who is this beautiful girl?" Her melodic voice was like a harp playing through my ears.
"Honey this is Ginger" He then side stepped uncovering me and Georgia.
"I'm Georgia. Gingers older sister" She introduced herself waiting for me to speak,
"Im Jadah, Georgia's younger sister, and Gingers older sister. Nice to meet you." I said smiling at her. She was so beautiful. She had tears in her eyes and a big smile on her beautiful face.
"Oh honey, you brought beautiful guests." She smiled at us all welcomingly.
"These aren't guests love, they're joining our family. They were the "rogues" the boys saw at the diner and it just so happens...and I know how-"He was cut off by Georgia.
"Mrs.Jax he took us in. We were in trouble and most likely on our way to shorten our life span and he's shown us a kindness that we've needed since losing our family or leaving them behind." She motioned to me and Ginger," We are grateful and couldn't be happier to be accepted here and we hope that that's okay with you, that we join your pack." She finished bowing her head and stepping back.
She looked at all of our faces with pouts and tears eyes before saying,
"Of course I want you girls to join our pack!" We blew out sighs of relief and smiled.
Stepping to the side she motioned us in,"Come in, come in. I know you all are tired from your journey, me and Rose are just about done with dinner."
When I looked around I was blown away. The floors were white and black tile making it look like a life sized checker board, there were beautiful Greek statues placed around the room, and the walls were white red. It was simply beautiful.
When I turned to look at Georgia she was just as mesmerized by the houses' beauty as I was. I looked at the guys and saw they were all watching us with smiles. I blushed before looking away, then Georgia spoke.
"Mrs...."She trailed off waiting for the woman's name.
"Oh! Where are my manners? Call me Sophia." She said blushing.
"Sophia. You guys have a lovely home." Georgia said looking around.
"Dear this is your home too, the boys will show you girls to a room and I'll take care of Ginger." She said taking Ginger from Jax's arms.
"Follow me." Max said and soon after the rest of the boys came over. We nodded before following the guys up the winding staircase.
There were about 3 flights of steps like Warre-Anyways I didn't complain because I had a warm and steamy shower to look forward to. When we got to the top, Georgia was just as giddy as I was to head to the shower; she walked ahead of the group making wrong turns and all.
"This way!" She said walking to the left of the giant hallway. We turned right and kept walking letting her go the wrong way because she has been doing this since we've started looking for our rooms.
"Bye Georgia." Max called as we continued to walk. Then we heard her running footsteps pounding towards our backs trying to catch up. I couldn't help but laugh.
"You've been doing that for a while now." I said and she just smiled at me before shaking me.
"I get a bath, and I get out of these clothes. So boys Imma need you guys to pick up the pace." She said clapping her hands in a speed up way. All the guys just shook their heads.
Soon we came to a big cream colored door with a golden handle. The boys stopped and waited for us to choose which one of us gets the room and I took one look at Georgia before I sprinted to the door. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough because next thing I knew Georgia's on the other side sticking out her tongue.
"Ah ha!" She sang,
"Bitch." I said glaring at her but she just smiled before closing the door. I could hear the boys chuckles and I turned and glared at them which made them stop. I started to pull a Georgia and go to any door.
"Wrong door." Sam said,
So I went to another one.
"Nope not that one either." I heard Max say,
So I went to another door.
"Wrong." I heard Tyler sing and I almost blew up.
"Then tell me!" I yelled loudly and they all covered their ears.
"Okay that one. Just don't yell again." Anthony said with his ears still covered. I smiled before running to the door and slamming it open.
"Finally!" I groaned throwing my head back, they all laughed before going to their rooms.
When I turned around golds, and whites tied the room together. There was a huge king sized bed with a white and gold duvet covered in intricate patterns, A big 50 inch flat screen tv sitting on the wall, and beautiful elegant black and white couches were placed throughout the room. There was also plush beige carpet on the floor and a few white fluffy rugs here and there overall the room was gorgeous. Pretty luxurious for a guest room.
I seen two doors, one with double doors on the hinges and One with a single door. Im guessing the single door is the bathroom and the one with double doors is the closet. So I went into the double doors and I was correct. The closet was filled with both women and men's clothing, and shoes. I went to the women's rack and pulled out a pair of black sweat pants, a white t-shirt, some socks, and a clean pair of panties.
I took my clothing and walked through the door to the bathroom and I was in awe from the sight. There was a big white porcelain bathtub in the middle of the room with golden handles, a humongous clear shower against the wall, a white porcelain toilet near the sink, a huge mirror with lights hanging above it, and the floor was white tiled with golden leaves in the middle of them.
There was a small closet near the sink filled with towels, rags, and robes. I took a red fluffy towel, rag, and a super soft white robe. I decided on a shower so I can get to my food then come back to bed quicker.
I walked and stripped out of my t-shirt to the shower, I seen a panel on the wall and typed in my desired temperature and settings and soon the shower was being heated up with hot water; and the coolest thing was it sprouted from every direction.
I squealed in joy and let the water run over my aching and tired body, washing away the grime of today then I took some of the near by body wash that smelled like tropical fruits and scrubbed every inch of my skin. I've been washing my hair a lot so I left it in the pineapple while I washed up. I felt way better than before. I dried my body and hair before slipping on my clothes.
When I walked out of the door Georgie was also coming out. Her hair was slightly wet and her skin was glistening.
"Did you see the shower?!" I gushed loudly, she jumped from my sudden outburst.
"It was so big, and the water. Oh my god the water came from everywhere! "I jawed,"The room is so beautiful-" I was cut off by her hand covering my mouth.
"Yeah you forget we both have the same room but thanks for the show mouth." She said tiredly, I growled at her. When she removed her hand from my mouth she began to walk towards the stairwell and as I was watching her walk away I got a brilliant idea.
"Jay I know you love this house and all but we live here now so come on I'm starved." She said still walking. I stretched my legs.
"Jay bring your ass." She said and she still didn't stop.
"Jadah?" She asked turning around. Perfect, so I took the opportunity to take off towards her, it took her a minute to catch on to what I was doing before her eyes grew wide.
"No, no, no Jad-" I came toppling on top of her.
"Too late." I said straddling her while she groaned and held her head.
"Oww asshole." She groaned and I laughed.
I started getting up when two legs wrapped around my head and slammed me to the floor. I heard the boys doors open.
"Pay backs a bitch isn't it?" She said victoriously getting off the floor as I groaned from the throbbing in my head.
"You...bitch" I said rubbing my head.
She laughed throwing her head back before offering me her hand. I grabbed her hand and smirked before pulling her to the floor.
"I'll keep your food warm!" I yelled over my shoulder darting down the hallway. I could hear the boys laughter from behind me but I was on a mission to get to that food.
I ran down all the steps and already I could smell the delicious aroma of steak. When I touched the last step I heard a bunch of footsteps , I was just in front of the threshold before I went flying to the floor and Georgia was behind me.
"You're right. I will keep your food warm." She said as she walked into the dining room.
"You bitch!" I yelled as I laid my head on the floor, I heard a bunch of laughs from behind me.
"Language Jadah." Jax said as he and the boys passed me on their way into the dining room. The only one with enough decency to help was Tyler. He stopped in front of me and held out his hand. I took it and got on my feet again.
"Thanks Tyler." I said removing my hand from his grip before walking into the dining room. I spotted an empty seat near Ginger-wait actually two seats near her. I went to sit down and I was greeted by her toothless smile.
"Hey Jay." She chirped.
"Hey Gin." I said bumping her shoulder. Soon Rose I think Martins mate came in with the food and instantly the aroma of steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli was stronger than before making my mouth water.
She set the trays and bowls of food on the table before smiling and taking a seat next to Martin who gave her a loving smile and a kiss. I couldn't help but wish I had that with my mate. And here comes the emotions.
I've longed for a mate all my life since mo-Lauren told me about them; and I find mine and he doesn't want me. He thinks I'm useless and that Kim is better.
My grip tightened on something and before I knew it I heard the object scrape the table. I looked down at my hand and my fork was bent in a weird way, I dropped it down on the table and looked up to see everyone watching me. They had food on their plates while I was too busy thinking about my mate. Then a voice snapped me out of my thoughts,
"Jadah." I heard Tyler say and I blinked rapidly before looking at him.
"Huh?" I asked facing him, he had a concerned look etched on his face.
"I've been calling your name for about five minutes now and you just now answered me. Are you okay?" He asked solicitously.
"Yeah I'm fine, just hungry." I said offering a small smile to ease the knot in his stomach. He nodded before hesitantly returning to his food. I picked up a big steak, a spoonful of mashed potatoes, and a scoop of broccoli.
I immediately dug in and moaned when the food hit my mouth. I haven't eaten all day. When I opened my eyes everyone was watching me in amusement. I smiled back and went back to eating until Jax spoke,
"Jadah?" He asked, his tone was stern. I slowly looked up at him finishing the food in my mouth.
"Yes?" I asked.
"What happened at your old pack?" He asked sitting back in his seat, wiping his mouth with his napkin. I dropped my head losing my appetite. I knew they would want to know and if I'm gonna live here, like Jax said I have to trust them so they can trust me. I let out a breath before speaking.
"Well Lauren and Larry are or were the betas of the SilverMist Pack and I'm their daughter." I took some shaky breaths, " I had three siblings of which I do not claim anymore; Lucas, Leo, and Leila-" I heard low growls come from Georgie and Gin, I gave them both reassuring smiles. "We were super close but...I'll get to that later. The whole pack hated me even the Alpha and Luna."
"I was bullied because they believed I was weak, had no back bone." I gave a humorless laugh,"That I was unfit to be the daughter of the beta." I took a pause before continuing, "There was this guy named Malachi, he was my crush and soon to be alpha of our pack. He and his girlfriend Kim hated me the most...One night after a horrible day at school, we had a meeting with the alpha. During the meeting he almost shifted on me because I didn't look at him while he was speaking, but if I did he would growl at me and his eyes would turn black."I said shaking my head,
"So I ran out of there and to the woods and the day before I was supposed to find my mate I shifted." I shuddered from the memory and everyone laughed a bit before regaining their composure."I am a white wolf as you know. "Shocked looks crossed Roses and Sophia's faces. "So when I told my family, my siblings got jealous and that's when my brothers and sister turned against me." I said blankly staring at the table.
"On my birthday my brothers didn't even say happy birthday, and my sister was pretending. I got my car, the one I left, for my birthday and I loved it but when my sister was supposed to drive me to school in it because I don't have a license." Georgia's eyes grew big . "She made me walk to school. On my birthday." I could feel the angry tears threatening to spill but I held them back. Tyler put a comforting and encouraging hand on my shoulder, I nodded before continuing.
"So when I got to school that day I found my mate." I said smiling, "Yes and it was my biggest bully. Malachi, when he first saw me his eyes showed so much love I thought I'd pass out. It was like it was only us two in that parking lot you know? Then that all came crashing and burning because once he realized everyone heard and saw us he got angry. His face wasn't happy anymore he was disgusted, ashamed of me. He told me, his girlfriend would be a better Luna."I balled my fists up under the table,"He took me to their house where he, the Luna, and our Alpha beat me until Amaris my wolf took over." The lump in my throat lightened,"So I ran away, met Georgia and Ginger, then we met you guys ."I finished. Everyone was silent. Jax had no expression on his face, his fists were balled up and his eyes looked calculating yet empty.
Clearing his throat and drinking some of his wine, he spoke, "Martin, and Levi we have some things to discuss later" going no further they both nodded their heads.
Moving his eyes over to me he said, "I am not going to apologize for their wrong doings but I can assure you that you won't have to worry about that here. We are family and the duty of the alpha is to protect, and you all are protected here. You girls are in good hands." He promised.
He meant every word, a family I can count on huh?
He then moved his eyes to Georgia,"Your turn"
