Adelina POV:
Just be back soon. All the boys are going to be home.
Yeah, no, I wasn't doing that.
I bounce lightly on my heals trying to stay warm as the night's cold nips at my skin. The sereneness of the creak is easily unmatched when the sun's slipped over the horizon.
As nicotine fills my lungs and the smoke slips from my lips, the low rumble of a car fills my ears. Knowing it's Sebastian, I don't bother turning around. Opting rather to continue my observation of the light flow of water, I take note of the car door shutting and footsteps making their way towards me. Light butterflies fill my stomach in anticipation.
I feel his hands on my hips before anything. It startles me, the events from earlier not having completely left my mind. I was left on edge throughout the rest of the day.
I feel light breathing on my neck and him press against my back and my heart rate picks up slightly. I tense a considerable amount, the actions being so similar to Michaels.
"My girl looks amazing, doesn't she?" he grumbles into my ear. It's only when he speaks that the tension melts from my bones, my heart settles into its normal pace and an easy smile begins to rest on my lips.
I tilt my head back to lay on his chest and look up at him to immediately find his gaze already on me. I laugh softly and shake my head, stepping out of his arms to look at him properly.
And Lord does he look good.
He's wearing his classic beanie which does not surprise me in the slightest, but what catches my eye is the different chains around his neck. Normally, a single chain adorns his neck but today he's layered on a few different ones taking his style up a notch. His choice of clothing, although casual, only accentuate his good looks.
The black and silver rings on his fingers only add to his attractiveness. His black shirt and beige jeans not fitted to him but somehow still showcasing his lean structure.
My gaze then moves to his face. His plump lips looks especially enticing but I don't let my eyes linger there for too long, moving rather to look at the dark eyes I've spent so much time admiring.
I watch as his eyes rake over me shamelessly like I had done him only moments before. I'm wearing nothing too fancy, a simple black dress with matching heals and minimalistic makeup as I didn't feel up to doing anything else.
His gaze travels to my face once he completes the inspection of my body. A full grins tugs at his lips as he takes a small step towards me, grabbing my waist as he looks down at me, "Your girl?" I laugh.
A small chuckle escapes him, "Yup," he murmurs leaning down "mine." and instantly we lock lips.
It's slow and sweet and he has me smiling into the kiss quickly enough. I run my hands over the material of his shirt as I pull away and press the side of my head against his chest, "Then you're mine." my tone leaves no room for discussion.
"Of course, my pretty girl" he laughs lightly.
â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢
Sebastian's hand comfortably rests on my upper thigh throughout the entirety of the car trip. It doesn't take long to get to the party and it seems both of us are eager to jump out and let the fun begin.
Once the vehicule is put into park, I quickly make a move to exit while Sebastian stops me by tightening his grip on my thigh. I look up, confused by his actions "Yes?" I call out into the silence he created. The light was dim and darkness has fully consumed the sky. He dark eyes burned holes into mine, staring at me in a beautiful intensity, "You're going to meet my friends in there," he tells me "don't go too hard on them. Some are a little rough around the edges, you know?"
A slow smile stretches across my face. Cupping the back of his neck, I gently pull him closer to me while shifting in my seat. I lean over, running my lips over the side his neck, placing light kisses as I go. Once I pay slightly more attention to his jaw, I could hear him stifle a grunt in the back of his throat and feel his thumb start making slow circles on my thigh.
My kisses travel further up, now reaching near his ear, " You know me Sebby," I breath, starting to nibble on his earlobe "I don't like being told what to do." Mischief is laced in my words, tying them together.
My actions are quickly halted when he grips the front of my neck, his ring clad fingers tightening their grip on my throat. The cold of the metal is fresh against the warmth of my skin and he tips my head up to meet his lustful expression. My entire body is set alight under his scrutinous gaze. Once he sees he's caught my full attention, a boyish smirk appears. He moves his hand from my neck, opting to grip one side of my jaw and run his thumb over my bottom lip, "It was a simple request," the hand on my thigh moves higher with every word "not a demand."
My head tilts to rest in his hand and I bite my lip in thought, knowing the reaction it'd cause. Just as expected, his eyes drop down to my mouth and I see his tongue swipe over his own lips, "well," I trail off, his sight still solely fixed on the same place "I suppose since you asked so nicely..."
I hop out of the car mentally laughing at the fact I had never intended to give his friends a hard time either way. I walk a few steps and wait for him to join me. I don't wait long as he's quickly making his way over to me, grabbing my hand and tugging me to him to enter the house.
It's decently big and the crowd is nothing I haven't seen before. I'm by no means new to all of this, but it is a first to not be able to recognize every face I pass by.
We weave our way through dancing bodies until we finally make it to a more secluded but still fairly populated area. Entering a hallway with a few people scattered around, I see someone leave one of the probably couple bathrooms this house has. Figuring it was better to empty my bladder now rather than drunk and stumbling, I tell Seb not to wait up.
"Alright, I'll just be in that room," he says, pointing to a door and placing a chaste kiss on my lips "don't be long." He winks and walks away.
I stare at his retreating figure for seconds admiring the view of his ass. Guys always have the nicest asses, it's truly not fair.
Once he disappeared into the room, I turned to find a line to use the restroom. A groan escapes me aswell as an eye roll and I decide not to go afterall as I'm not willing to wait. I turn on my heel and head the same direction I saw Sebastian go and walk to the already open door. A squeal could be heard from inside and I stand confused at the sight.
"Hush, Bash, no I'm not" A petite brunette giggled as Sebastian wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pulling her into a hug as her arms went around his waist. He throws his head back in a rather large laugh, "Nothing to be ashamed of, Daisy, you know I missed you too."
"What the fuck?" are the only words I choose to utter. The two break apart and Sebastian's smile is bright as he comes over to me with Daisy right behind him. I certainly don't miss the way his hand grabbed hers to lead her over to me. I don't move my gaze from their interlocked hands, a form of a glare resting on my features.
Once standing directly infront of me, Seb releases her hand and comes to wrap an arm around my waist. Kissing my temple, he leans down to whisper "That's quite the dirty look you got there, Addi baby" Unamused, I simply stare at him. "Baby this my best friend Daisy, Daisy this is my girl Adelina."
Best friend. No one could deny how classically pretty she is. With short brown hair, beaming blue eyes and heart shaped lips, she has an especially sweet look to her. Everything about her was minimal, from her makeup to her jewlery down to the expressions she makes.
She sticks her hand out infront of her, her face not even slightly changing from her inviting smile, "Hi," her voice is as soft as she is, with a hint of some burried southern accent "my name is Ashlyn. It's nice to meet you." Ashlyn? She Peers off towards the ground every so often.
But nonetheless, I put my hand out to meet hers in a greeting, "Adelina." I'm not as friendly as she tried to be, but I never had been and didn't plan on impressing anyone tonight. Especially a girl best friend.
Sebastian introduces me to the rest of his friends one by one and I notice that Ashlyn and I are the only girls among them. Once I'm acquainted with everyone, we all settle into leather U-shaped couches on the far end of the room. I sit with one leg crossed over the other while Sebastian has his arm over my shoulder on one of the ends while the rest are scattered about.
I don't follow the conversation much, seeing as it involves faceless people from their school. About fifteen minutes in, I grow fustrated. There is no drink in my hand and the smell of alcohol is starting to make me antsy. It brings up even more memories since my attack today and I'm too sober to ignore them.
"Sebby," I don't interrupt their conversation, I only pull him out of it for a couple moments "I'm gonna go get a drink." A look of recognition passes over his face and he shakes his head.
He calls out to his friends to help him bring a couple bottles and cups up from downstairs and I sit in confusion, not understanding why we wouldn't just join the rest of the party. He leans down to my ear to whisper "I'll be right back, stay here" before leaving the room with a few other people.
I slump back in my seat and look around only to notice Ashlyn is the only other person left up here with me from this group. A tense silence looms over us, so thick you could slice it with a knife, and I decide to pose a question that had been on the tip of my tongue since I'd met her "So," I start, making her eyes, that had previously been resting on her fingers, avert to me "Daisy?"
She giggles softly under her breath, "Yeah, it's just a nickname."
"It's cute," I reply. I don't know if she realized I had to force those words out "Where'd it come from?"
A broad smile takes over her face and I could sense my annoyance instantly, "Well," it's story worthy apparently "We were just kids and he wanted his own special nickname for me since I was the only one who calls him Bash and he came up with Daisy. My full name is Ashlyn Daisy Mitchell, he wasn't very creative." I could tell she's fond of the memory.
"That's sweet," could she tell my questioning was not by pure curiosity? "How long you two been friends?"
"Oh! I stopped counting a very long while ago" I could tell she's getting more comfortable now "Um," she scratches her head "See, we met when we were seven whenever I moved in next door. Bash was eight then... and I'm sixteen now... No wait, I'm turning seventeen soon. Ten years? Yeah, ten years."
"That's nice." It meant nothing. The look in her eye whenever he's around is what says it all. His smiles do too.
She's the innocent kind of pretty, and I am not.
A short silence falls but it's soon filled, "I've heard a lot about you." I still, waiting for her next words "I just wanted to say thank you. He's always really happy after hanging out with you and I can tell he really likes you and after all he's been through... he deserves it."
I didn't know what he'd been through. I don't want to either, it's not what our relationship is about but either way, most hostility I held melted away with sincerity in her words. I hadn't realized how close we'd moved towards each other to be able to hear each other over the music during our short conversation. I could now smell her citrus and honey perfume and see a certain sadness in her eyes.
I'm only grateful when the doors open again, allowing in several boys and bottles. Cups too.
Sebastian sported the widest grin when he found me and Ashlyn sitting next to each other. The boy walked over to us and I stood up to greet him, relieved of the fact I no longer must continue the awkward conversation I started.
I leaned in, kissing him at his arrival back. My hands grip his shirt as he cups my cheeks and deepens the kiss. In the background I could hear his friends hoot and hollar at us but I couldn't have a care in the world. I pull away and as he leans down further, placing his lips next to my ear I turn to his friends, showing them my favorite finger. They laugh and start to pour themselves drinks. I guess we really are staying up here.
"What did I do right?" his breathy tones catches me off guard. I look up at him, through my eyelashes, "Everything," I say "nothing."
A small smile seems to be constantly etched into his face tonight. He places a few kisses down my neck before detaching himself, "What do you want to drink?"
I turn my attention to the table and catches Ashlyn's eyes. By the way she quickly, and shyly, looked away it was obvious enough she'd been watching for a while. When my gaze finally drifts towards the alcohol my blood freezes.
I'd stayed away from it the most I could, but there was no helping the fact that the first bottle I landed upon was tequila. I shake away my head, burying it in Sebastian's chest instead.
I could feel it. The panic. It hit me ten times harder than it normally would. I don't know if I'm visibly shaken up but still manage to choke out the words "rhum and coke" feeling desperation.
I could only faintly hear Sebastian call out to one of his friends to make a rhum and coke when his arms circle me. I'm too concentrated on the feeling, on reminding myself who it is to see when the drink is handed to me.
It wasn't made too strong, but it wouldn't matter if it had been. It went down easy either way.
