WREN CARTER COULD HAVE BEEN REALLY POPULAR. She was mean, brutally honest, beautiful, and blonde. She could have ruled the school alongside Lydia Martin and her boyfriend, Jackson Whittemore. In fact, she was so close to it until one day in seventh grade when she got so upset that she kicked a chair across the room in the middle of a test.
That basically ruined her social life.
However, that might have been the best moment of her life because instead of living a life of fake friends and stressful events that just made everything worse, she made new friends. After her freak out, she was only suspended, surprisingly. While she was sitting outside for her mother to pick her up, a small boy came over to her and asked if she wanted to play cards.
That was how she met Scott McCall. He introduced her to his best friend Stiles, and they became quite the trio. They were all attached at the hip. They were there for each other when Stiles got ignored by Lydia for the umpteenth time, through every one of Scott's asthma attacks, and when Wren got diagnosed with bipolar disorder. They helped her through all of her episodes, and supported her. She could not dream of having better friends.
One day, the three went out into the woods, searching for a dead body, and two of them returned grounded while one suffered a bit of a larger consequence. The three struggle with love, loss, and the supernatural throughout their entire high school career, and it never seems to be over.
