Iraa's POV
Did he just-Did he just GULP?! Vedang Rao Suryavanshi is nervous? Just the thought of it makes me giggle.
"Girl, are you okay? Why are you giggling now? Does Sidharth Malhotra make you that happy?" Aditi teased, clearly amused.
Meanwhile, Kriti was smirking, acting all innocent, though I knew she wasn't fooling anyone.
"Chup beth tu!" I smacked her playfully and got up, deciding to finish the last bit of packing.
The girls had already finished theirs, so it was just me left.
As I folded my clothes, my mind drifted back to the first day. The day we all met for the first time. The day I met Vedang for the first time... Ahh.
FLASHBACK
"Excuse me, mister! Why are you laughing? I can eat whatever I want, alright? This is my dad's company!"
"Listen, mister, I'm telling you for the last time-I'm not scared of you. My bodyguards will break your bones if you even think about kidnapping me!"
I mentally facepalmed at the memory, but now, it seemed so funny. "Pagal ladki," I mumbled to myself, shaking my head at my past antics.
"How dare you call my girl 'pagal?' a familiar voice interrupted, and before I could turn around, two strong arms snaked around my waist, pulling me into a warm backhug.
"I can say whatever I want, mister. My man can fight," I replied playfully, turning just enough to catch a glimpse of Vedang's face.
He chuckled softly, the sound vibrating through his chest.
He had a laugh that could melt anyone's heart, though I struggled to find the right words to describe it. Moreover it was rare.
His warm breath tickled my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. He rubbed his nose at my ear.
He tightened his grip on my waist, pulling me even closer so that our cheeks were almost touching.
"What are you doing?" I asked, trying to sound casual, even though my heart was racing.
"Making sure I spend every moment I can with you today," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Aap aise bol rahe ho jaise I'm dying tomorrow," I joked, trying to lighten the mood.
But suddenly, his grip loosened, and in the blink of an eye, I found myself turned around and pinned against the wall, face-to-face with him.
His eyes bored into mine, intense and unreadable, sending a wave of emotions crashing through me.
They were dark and intense, yet there was a flicker of tenderness there too.
"Don't ever say something like that again," he whispered, his voice low and dangerous, making goosebumps erupt all over my skin.
"I-I was just kidding, Vedan-"
"Don't joke about things like that, Iraa. I can't even imagine something happening to you. I can't function without you," he confessed, whispering the last words sending warmth rushing to my cheeks.
I could only nod, biting my lip, too overwhelmed to speak.
"Good girl," he smirked, his mood shifting yet again.
What the heck? How does this guy go from being sweet and clingy to possessive and now, well... irritatingly sexy?
"Okay, fine. Now go away! You're in my room, and someone's going to see us!" I tried to push him back into reality.
But instead, he pulled me closer, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck.
"Koi nhi aayega. All the elders went out for a walk, and those four idiots started a movie after you left," he whispered, his lips brushing against my ear, sending another shiver down my spine.
"O-oh," was all I could manage to say, completely flustered.
How had this guy never been in a relationship before? Or has he? I never asked.
"Yeah, so let me spend time with my girl now," he said, pulling back just enough to meet my eyes.
The intensity of his gaze made my legs feel like jelly.
He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to my forehead, and I swear, if it weren't for the wall behind me and his arms caging me in, I would've melted right there.
I hugged Vedang around his neck, giggling like a child, and in response, his arms effortlessly scooped me up, placing me on the table.
My breath hitched slightly at how smooth he was, also quite charmed at how strong he was, he must have a hot build.
control you thoughts Iraa!
I playfully smacked his chest.
He stepped back a little, his eyes twinkling as they roamed over me. "You look so pretty," he whispered, almost like it was a secret meant only for me.
I grinned, biting my lip. "I'm always pretty, Mr. Suryavanshi," I teased.
He chuckled, his fingers lightly tracing my jawline. "Oh, I know. But right now, you're on another level."
I felt the warmth bloom in my cheeks, but I kept my playful stance.Vedang smirked, then leaned in closer. His hands rested on either side of me, caging me in.
I rolled my eyes playfully and let out a light laugh, but then I couldn't hide my expression that had shifted slightly, curiosity getting the better of me.
"Why are you being so clingy today? Not that I'm complaining," I said, wrapping my arms tighter around his neck.
He sighed softly, looking into my eyes with that intense gaze of his."I'm just... I'm gonna miss seeing you every day like this."
He said softly. "Once we get back, you'll be at college and I'll be stuck at the office... barely getting any time. It's not gonna be like now, you know?" His voice was low,
My heart skipped a beat. "Vedang..."
"When we get back, it's gonna be different," he continued, his voice quieter now. "I'm taking over soon, you know? CEO life isn't exactly going to be flexible."
I stared at him for a moment, my heart swelling at how vulnerable he was being. I cupped his face, pulling him in so our foreheads touched.
"Hey... we talked about it pehle na? Distance or not, you're not getting rid of me that easily," I reassured him with a smile, kissing his jaw.
I knew since morning, he wanted to kiss me, so did I but we kept getting interrupted.
His eyes softened, and he let out a small breath of relief.
"You always know how to say the right thing," he whispered, and then his lips found mine, sealing his worries away with a , reassuring kiss.
His lips were tender and soft, his hands holding my waist as if i might slip away if he let go. What is this guy doing to me?
I kissed him back just as sweetly, feeling the warmth of him.
We pulled away slowly, our foreheads still resting against each other, and he smiled that cheeky grin of his.
"You always have that effect on me," he murmured.
I rolled my eyes, still smiling. "Someone's gotta keep you in check, Mr. Future-CEO."
Vedang chuckled and pulled me back into a warm hug, his arms snug around my waist. "Oh, don't worry. You'll always keep me on my toes."
I traces my hand lightly over his hair, which were uncombed. It was rare to see him with messy hair and yet it made him look more charming.
"How do you have such beautiful hair?" I asked in suprise.
"parents ki meherbani" he shrugged, smiling. Ahhh his smile my god. "Why don't you smile that often? You have such a sundar smile" I asked titling my head.
In response he just pulled me more closer hiding his face in the crook of my neck. "It's only for special people" he muttered, my cheeks heated up as his lips softly brushed on my neck while speaking.
"ohh so I'm special huhh" I teased, even though it was obvious. He pulled back staring at me with no expression.
His brown orbs staring into mine. Dude has the most prettiest eyes I have EVER seen. His eyes were brown-er (if that's a word) than mine.
"wasn't it obvious?" he asked raising one eyebrow. I mentally smirked thinking my teasing worked. "I guessss" I shrugged.
"you guess? huhh I see" Suddenly he gave me a mischievous smile.
He tickled my side playfully, making me squeal.
"Vedang!" I giggled, wriggling in his arms. "Stop it!"
"You know you love it," he teased with a mischievous grin, only for me to shake my head, still laughing. I couldn't speak
I laughed, resting my head on his shoulder, feeling content and safe.
But then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw movement by the door, and my whole body stiffened.
Oh, crap.
"Vedang," I whispered urgently, trying to push him back gently. "Vedang, stop!"
"What?" he mumbled against my hair, completely oblivious. "I'm comfortable."
"No, Vedang! I just saw Dev!"
That got his attention.
He immediately froze, his eyes darting towards the door. And there, standing like he'd just caught us red-handed, was Dev-his younger brother, the GOSSIP KING.
He looked like he'd seen a ghost, his mouth slightly ajar, eyes wide.
Oh god.
Before we could even react, Dev blinked rapidly and walked away like he was trying to convince himself that what he saw was some bizarre dream.
But it wasn't long before he reappeared, this time staring harder, making sure what he saw wasn't just in his head.
"Shit," I muttered under my breath, eyes wide with panic.
Vedang seemed to snap out of it at the same moment.
Without hesitation, he stood up and stormed to the door, grabbing Dev by the collar before he could even think about escaping.
"What the-" Dev started, but Vedang yanked him back inside the room, slamming the door shut behind them.
"YE KAHA FAS GYA MEI!"
