Head afloat with thoughts overlaid with gold, she was lost in a daydream,

Her body is thrumming with energy that simmers hotly within her bloodstream,

His being waltzes in, gray steadily paints the wall with barbed streaks,

Her vitality loses it's rhythm and swiftly plummets from its peak,

✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼

His silky words are like a flame and her thoughts are like moths drawn to them,

The fire burns the wings of her spirit to its very core rendering it numb,

It leaves behind a hollow shell full of tangled questions that stretch eternally,

Broken shards reflecting a paradise of thought elusive to all universally,

He locks her bones in rigor mortis when the façade of perfection cracks in half,

He puts the hypnotic song of her goddess on reverse revealing her golden calf,

The bright illumination of concealed truth melts through her retinas forcing her to focus,

Her mind habitually ejected this this revelation, but the rays eat through the shields like locusts,

He siphons the energy from her body, feeds on it to keep his hold on her tight,

Unwilling host she is, though she makes a place for him, a starving parasite,

She's a well oiled machine kept alive only by his instinctual need born from poor habits,

This a chess game, though he plays dangerous hand, every move is a well placed gambit,

He leads her to the bedroom gently where the conception of ideas vanish,

The soft sheets scent invading her mind, suffocating her ambition till it will perish,

He sets the gleaming bar so far above her it turns her body to stone,

The bed is the altar and she's the sacrifice for the sins she'll never atone
