135 Chapter 135 – Puppy love

Duke Parlov who came down the staircase saw this emotional moment. He rushed down and lifted all three of them in his embrace.

“Oh my.... honey, everyone is watching.” Lady Perlin whispered, wiping her tears-stained cheeks.

Duke gently kissed her cheeks and then proceeded to kiss the boys.

Both Ethan and Aiden had shocked looks on their faces. But anyway, it was obvious they liked it cuz their faces were red as a tomato.

Ethan shyly nuzzled against lady Perlin, while Aiden touched his heated cheek with his eyes still wide open.

Duke gently pinched his cheeks. “My boys.”

Aiden glanced at him unblinking. {‘Ethan...... we... do we really have a family now......’} his eyes started to tear up. he lowered his head and hid his face against lady Perlin’s shoulders.

{‘yes, they... they are our parents... we don’t necessarily have to take up their last name though. It will cause a lot of problems when I’m going to pursue Feng in the future.’} Ethan answered back with a soft smile on his face.

Aiden lifted his head up and looked at his dad straight in the eye. “I won’t take your last name though....”

“I know.” The duke gently lowered them down and lifted only the boys up. secretly he whispered close to their ears. “I’ll help you both when its time.”

Aiden grinned. “We don’t need any help at all.” He said, looking at Feng who was a few steps away. “I can definitely make ger fall for me,”

“So confident?”

“Yeah of course.” Aiden raised his brow.

The duke chuckled letting them down. “it’s good that you are confident. Because you have a lot of competition.”

Ethan tugged at his sleeve. “Ban that red-haired boy from our household. He is chasing after Feng.” he secretly whispered.

“You’re talking about Claudius? if I do that, Feng might not like it,”

Aiden just smiled like an age-old businessman. “we can do it in secret.”

The duke stood up, straight peering at his boys, his eyes had a proud glint to them as he nodded. “We’ll do as you say.”

Feng and the others watched this from a few steps away. “What do you think they are whispering to each other?”

“Don’t know. They seem to be enjoying the conversation though,” Elle added looking quite distracted.

Her eyes sought out at the empty corridor behind. This one led down to the servants’ quarters, the kitchen and the healer’s quarters.

“Elle,” Feng tugged at her hand.

The young girl looked crestfallen. “We will be gone for six months.”

“Yeah....”

“I’ll miss him” Elle muttered under her breath.

Feng’s head shot in her direction. ‘What did she say?!! The mystery puppy love of Elle!!!!’ she looked around but she couldn’t spot anyone close by. But as she looked closer, she spotted a person standing in the corner along with the servants.

Yubiri.

He was still disguised as the healer with his head down.

Feng narrowed her eyes. ‘isn’t he scared he would be caught? He has guts that’s for sure,’ she leaned down to warn Elle about Yubiri, but to her surprise, she saw the little girl looking in Yubiri’s direction with a star-struck look on her face.

‘Eh?’

‘she’s looking at... the servants, right?’ there were no men were standing to that corner except Yubiri dressed as the healer. ‘no way... it can’t be...’ she looked at Elle again.

The young girl was looking up at her with a smile and nodded.

Feng’s mouth dropped open. ‘Him? Why? He is powerful I agree. But... he is slightly crazy....’ She held Elle’s hand tightly. ‘We need to have a serious talk later’

“What is it Feng?” lady Hiliana raised a brow at her.

“n-nothing.... I was searching for Lana,”

“oh, she is still packing your trunks with gusto. That girl has a lot more energy than everyone else.” Lady Hiliana smiled softly.

They all walked out of the mansion. The carriages were waiting outside.

Since everyone was coming along with their own at least four soldiers accompanying them they had to take two different carriages.

Lady Hiliana Elle, Alvin got into one carriage.

While Ethan Aiden and the duke’s family got into another.

Ethan and Aiden were looking her way with a pout.

Feng just smiled at them and gave thumbs up. ‘you boys did a good job. That’s how you must show love to the duke and duchess.’ She thought as she was lifted up into the carriage.

They all settled down and only after that did the carriage start to move.

“Mum, at school will we have a private room?”

Lady Hiliana looked slightly ticked off at this question. “no, the children have to share a room. I even talked to the principal but he refused to give you both a separate room.”

“its okay. I can live will Elle.” Feng smiled up at her.

“I know, but your stuff will not fit in a room,” lady Hiliana sighed loudly.

Feng glanced at Elle. “How many trunks are you taking along with you?” she whispered.

“I’m pretty sure my maids packed up my entire room,”

Feng blinked at her. they all had massive rooms with a ton of clothes and jewelers. If the maids packed them all, then they probably will have an overflowing hostel room. Just imagining that made Feng chuckle. “I’ll have to warn Lana not to pack too much then,”

“oh no, I’ll reduce my trunks. Taking three trunks of shoes do seem excessive.”

Feng’s eyebrows twitched. Even though she had accepted this family as hers, she still couldn’t get used to the way they spend so much money. The ladies in the family would buy at least a ren pair so jewelry weakly and at least five dresses will be sent over from the Modiste.

In her past life also, she was rich but she had never spent so much money. She had lived minimalistic life with only a few white shirts and a few pairs of professional clothes.

Suddenly being stuffed into an extravagant world like this quite stunned her a little.

‘I have to get used to it. A respectful lady never repeats the same dress to a ball that’s why they buy so many clothes. as for jewels.... its cuz we a rich.’

No, it was not just because they were rich.

Feng had learned a few months earlier that lady Hiliana owned a few mines around in the dukedom. They produced the most beautiful and powerful magic crystals in the whole world. Along with the crystal, a few diamonds and sapphires and other gems were also found.

Diamonds were just a side product of the magic crystal extraction!!

They would have gone to waste so lady Hiliana had the best jewels to cut and polish them into beautiful gems that can be added into their accessories.

The most beautiful gems were sent to them as for the sub-par products were sold off to the market.

Even the subpar products were so popular. Subpar didn’t mean they had any damage or anything, it was because they didn’t shine that bright. Even so, these gems were quite famous among the ladies in the society.

“Our new mansion will be read in a month,” lady Hiliana said breaking the silence in the carriage.

“that’s nice. It took quite a while to re-modulate though.”

“Hmm, we had to break down a few walls and change a few things. That’s why it’s taking a while,”

Elle looked at her grandmother biting her lips. “Are we going to move out of uncle’s mansion?”

“Yes, dear. I think I made it quite clear at the beginning... Elle... is something wrong?”

“I... I like a few of the servants in there. Can we take them along?”

“well, if you wish to.”

Feng gaped at Elle again. ‘h my god this girl is planning on taking Yubiri home with us. How gutsy. She is only seven but she is already so steady in her affection,’n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Elle just looked up at her and smiled and nodded.

‘What does that mean? She keeps nodding at me.... Elle my darling, don’t fall for me man who is too old for you.’

Yubiri was definitely at least fifteen years old. Elle was just seven. The age gap alone made her shiver slightly.

She was not a person against love in general but if she looked at this situation it felt like Yubiri was a predator in this relationship.

She didn’t want her to fall for Yubiri.

Feng hugged Elle to her side. “You mustn’t grow up too fast... you must give you heart to anyone who isn’t worth it....” She whispered.

Elle just tilted her head cutely. “Feng, but aren’t you in love as well?” she said loudly catching lady Hiliana’s attention.

Lady just raised her brow. “Why didn’t I hear of this?”

“I’m not in love!” Feng said sternly.

“No, you are. You like Ethan and Aiden.” Elle pouted. “You must not lie.”

“I’m not lying... I like them like my siblings. But not in that way. they are too young.”

Feng anxiously looked at lady Hiliana hoping she won’t believe this nonsense. But her mother had a thoughtful look on her face. “Marrying you to my sister’s children does seem ideal. They are cute kids. they have potential too. but it’s too early for love. We’ll talk about it when you are eighteen years old okay Feng?”

“I’m not in love! People believe me!!”
