136 Chapter 136 – Dismissed feelings

Feng pouted all the way to school. No one seemed to believe that she was not in love. ‘it’s betrayal.... Why don’t they believe me? Did I act that way with Ethan and Aiden? Well... they do have a habit of holding my hands and asking hand in marriage. But they are just six-year-olds. What can they know about marriage?

She had seen a few of her collages happily chat about their children before. They would always say that their child wanted to marry them or something. So, she thought it was quite normal.

The carriage came to a stop close to the gate. The other families who were heart to drop off their kids were also close by but since they were in the way of the duke’s carriage, they all move away letting them pass.

The three soldiers first got down and helped them dismount the carriage.

Feng glanced back. Ethan and Aiden had also gotten off of their carriage. The duke was saying something to the boys and they both were nodding silently.

“Feng,” lady Hiliana gently touched her face. “Elle,” she hugged her grandchild. “I want you both to enjoy your school life. I know most parents will instruct their child to study hard but... ii just want you guys just enjoy. Play around if you want. Because you are the young ladies of the Rofles family. You can do anything you want in your life.”

Feng just gaped at her. All her life she had been told to be excellent. To outsmart her half-brother. To be the best CEO. To not make mistakes.

but everything had changed now.

Feng hugged her mum tightly. “We’ll get going.”

“oh, I’m so regretting sending you both to school this early.”

Feng sniffled softly. “That would only mean we can finish our education earlier, mum. We can then spend as much time as you want,”

“you’ve got a point,” lady Hiliana finally let go of them.

The two escorted by Alvin entered the gates.

Ethan and Aiden followed behind them.

“This is our first day. Aren’t you excited Elle?” she peered down.

“hmmm....” Elle gave a dull reply.

‘I thought she would forget about it in minutes.’

That’s what she thought. But even after they walked into the school, Elle was so down.

“Elle here I have your favorite candy with me. I smuggled it without mum knowing,” she handed the toffee she had in her clothes.

Lady Hiliana had become much stricter with regulating their food intake nowadays. because they had been eating too many sweets Ethan one day got a very bad stomach ache. From that day they had a regulation of one candy per week rule. Elle was the most downcast by this. She was used to eating candy every day. Now that her candy regulation was in place, she could barely eat any.

So with that candy in hand, Feng was planning in distracting her.

Elle glanced at it for a second and sighed. “meimei... one candy can’t heal my broken heat.”

“b-broken heart! O-oh... wait, I’ll get you a few more. Ethan!” she glanced back at the twins. Ethan and Aiden hurriedly gave her their share of candy.

Feng held all three to Elle again. “Is this okay?”

Pouting Elle took it from her and showed it in her clothes. “But I’m still heartbroken. Only one person can heal it. But that person is not willing,” she sighed loudly and walked ahead of them.

Feng bit her lips anxiously. She had never seen Elle like this. Even thought she would get upset often Feng would give her something and the young girl would laugh so cheerfully but this time she looked so distraught.

“It will all work out. Just give her some space,” Aiden walked up to her and held her hand gently.

“But you guys don’t realize it Elle is going through a” she pulled Aiden down and whispered into his ear. “Puppy love.”

Aiden all of a sudden pulled away, rubbing his ears. His face had a weird pink flush to it. “oh what is wrong with it?”

“What is wrong?! What is not wrong with it! She is too young to fall in love. At this age, a girl must focus on playing around, eating cake and studying.”

Ethan walked beside to her right side and peered down at her. “Feng not everyone is cute as you. Elle might look like a child but she is mentally mature. What she has might not even be puppy love. She might really like this person. have you thought how she would feel when everyone dismisses her feeling like this?”

Feng frowned. ‘But the guy she likes is Yubiri... I know he is not bad but that guy has a fate with Clarina. What if one day he would just jump ship and fall for that girl instead. What of Elle then? She would be even more heartbroken...’ she clenched her hand tightly.

Feeling her tight grip, Aiden moved closer to comfort her. “Elle is a person who would do as she pleases, so let her have her way. Let’s see how this goes.”

“I’m not going to encourage that. If she had liked someone else, it’s okay. But not him. I won’t tell her to forget about her love but at the same time I’m not going to encourage her feeling either. So... let’s see how this goes.”

Feng stepped up and ran close to Elle. “Where are our hostel rooms? Is it close to our campus?’

“no, its a separate area from here. it’s far. every student gets a transportation array pass. You can just pass through the transportation array and get to the campus you intend to.” Elle looked up. “And I know you are still skeptical about my love. But I’m very certain. I just want you to trust me. Even if it doesn’t work out... I’ll be fine.”

“Oh Elle.” Feng pulled her into a tight hug. “I hope it works out too.”

They all had different schedules. But thankfully Elle and Feng shared the same schedule. as for Ethan and Aiden, they shared the same schedule as Claudius. The twins both pouted that they had to go to separate campuses for their class.

“we’ll meet during lunch break, okay? don’t pout so cutely,” Feng pinched both their cheeks.

After they parted, Feng noticed the soldiers following them.

She moved closer to Elle. “Why are the soldiers still following us?”

“They are our escorts. They will stay with us all day and stay in the side room during the nights.” She then doubtfully looked up at her. “You do know we will bring our maids with us, right?”

“Eh? No one told me this? So, Lara is coming with us?”

“yes, and so is my maid Fin. Meimie why are you so cute? You thought we will be left alone to dress up and take care of ourselves? No, as you have noticed our clothes are much harder to wear. We need at least two people’s assistance. So, the maids are mandatory. They will be provided side rooms, food and everything they need in here,”

Feng did not think too deeply about it. She just thought they would be staying in the camps, just happily spending time on their own but now that Lana was joining them...... she trembled.

“I might have to go through the torture every day!”

“Torture?”

“Yes, deep scrub...” Feng shivered just thinking about it. “Lana is really meticulous in subbing my skin off....”
