Lineti Parlov hurried over to the mansion. He had sped up so much that his phase he fell behind a huge dust trail. But contrary to that the beautiful child in his arms was carefully held close to him made sure to protect her body with magic so that the movement might not affect her so much,

They reached the mansion gate in about ten minutes. the guards noticed his arrival and started to open the huge grail gate.

But duke did not stop and wait for them to open it. he simply climbed up and jumped over carrying Feng delicately in his arms. just entering the mansion, the butler came running to him. “Your highness what is it? what happened to young miss Feng?”

“Call the healer!!”

The butler scurried away to bring their healer.

By then the duke had taken Feng to her room and laid her down on the bed. The young girl groaned as her small body hit the soft bed.

“shh, it’s okay. Uncle is right here,” he held her cold pale hands in his. Looking at her small palm he realized how small she was. His hands started to tremble fearing she might be mortally wounded.

The door banged open a young man rushed in. The man hurriedly checked Feng’s pulse first and then went ahead poking her here and there.

Feng whispered loudly.

The duke immediately grabbed his hand. “you’re hurting her!”

“I’m checking what happened to her body.” The healer pulled his hand out of his hold surprisingly. “Tell me what happened?”

“I don’t know. we were attacked and Feng... used the time ability.” The duke sighed massaging his forehead. “Why did this happen?”

He had never seen anyone collapse like this form just using the powers. it was very odd. he feared that black-cloaked man must had done something in secret to hurt Feng.

The young healer frantically checked Feng’s body and let out a small sigh. “it’s nothing major... she only has a broken shoulder bone. I can fix it in a matter time.” He held up his arm. a small flash of silvery white light flashed out hitting Feng’s shoulders.

Feng mumbled something and started to roll around in pain.

“Hold her still please. It will hurt a bit to rearrange the bones but after that, she will only feel any pain at all.” The healer informed him

The duke calmed himself down and held Feng down by pinning her other shoulder.

The silvery white light lit up and soon he heard a loud crack.

“ahhhhh!!!” Feng screamed loudly waking up mid-treatment.

The duke hurriedly held her down. “shh I’m sorry. I’ll make the pain go away. Just wait a bit. In a minute, the pain will all go away.”

Feng was sweating profusely and her body was twitching in pain.

The healer hurriedly corrected the bones and set them n et right place. After that Feng stopped moving around. her wide-open eyes closed tiredly.

The duke gently removed the hair that were stuck to her wet forehead. “is she okay now? How did this happen?”

“I can only heal sir.” he said with a weird look in his eyes. They looked a cold as ice.

Duke Lineti had seen the look before. “a great mage like you can easily determine what is wrong with her right, sir Yubiri.”

Yubiri faced him for a second. “I thought you will never figure it out.”

“I just don’t care about you that all. Now tell me. Why did this to Feng.” If it was that black-cloaked man, the duke planned on finding the group behind that man and was ready to demolish them to the ground.

“She did this to herself.

The due paused. “What?”

“Feng has awakened a very powerful time ability. she has such a young age and soft body, it is hard to deal with the aftereffects of such a strong power. The bone broke is probably the lash out of her using a strong time spell. “He gently reached out and held her small hands. “Thankfully it’s not anything Bad. “When will she be ready?”

“When she has finally trained her body and soul. She will be ready when she has hit puberty and before that, she must never use her power. I can easily patch up her once but if she continues using her powers now it would leave a lasting wound in her bones and her muscles. She might not be able to practice being a warrior, ever.”

The duke clenched his fist tightly. “Is there a way to seal her powers for now. Knowing Feng, she will use it disregarding her health.”

“I can’t do that without getting consent from Feng.” Yubiri sat down on the corner of the bd. “she is not a young child. She can make her own decision.’

“she is ten!” he growled loudly.

“Physically yes, duke Lineti you will never understand this but Feng is not a young girl. She is a strong and independent lady with a smart head on her shoulder. Do not underestimate her. And if she wishes to use her powers even after all that warning, she would only do so to save her life or others’ lives.” Yubiri said through gritted teeth

initially he had been stalking Feng to keep her safe but recently she gave him the cold shoulder and asked him not to approach her. So, he chose the smartest way possible. He chose to dress up as the healer and entered the house. Since the two young misses were going to attend the prestigious school of magic. they would take along a few maids and a healer and a few guards with them.

Yubiri planned to tag along with her to keep her safe in school.

But he did not expect his sudden decision could lead to his beloved getting hurt like this.

He sighed loudly. “I can protect her. I will stay with her and protect her. But I only want you’re promise from you. I will to tell you what it is but in the future, I will ask you what it is.”

The duke scoffed. “I know your intentions.”

“No, we can protect our family’s ladies. we don’t need your help mister Yubiri. Thank you for saving and healing her but I suggest you leave my house before I call the guards.”

“NO!” a shout came from the doorway.

Elle stood by the doorway panting. “Uncle what about our deal.”

duke started to sweat. “is not ideal for him to stay close to us dear Elle. I’ll get you a new healer,”

“no!” Elle ran up to Yubiri and held his hand.

Lady Hiliana and lady Perlin who had reached the room heard this. “let go of him, Elle. He Is not a person to be owned by anyone.” She gestured of Elle to come to them.

Elle shook her head. “he must stay with us. I saw the future. I see a lot of conflicts. He can stop it. he can save us....” She said with a slightly guilty look on her face.

“I can tell when you a lying, dear Elle. Come here to grandma. Let the adults talk this out.” Lady Hiliana gave an insistent look at the young child.

Both the ladies now looked towards the duke.

The duke felt an invisible arrow hit his heart. He had never once in his lifetime been called a disgrace.

Seeing his defeated state his wife came to his rescue. “Elle dear you are trying to find loop holes. Since my husband promised you a healer from our household. we will fulfill it. but not him. He Is an infiltrator. So, he is not considered a healer of our house.” She smiled kindly.

Elle knew that she couldn’t defeat the ladies with her wit. She pouted and glared at them all. “so unfair. I want to brew the frog in warm water..... look like I need to use hot water in the future.” Saying so she stormed out of the room.
