159 Chapter 159 – Carried away

Feng was moved to the duke’s mansion and the ten healers were always with her. Healing her every second. At times, her wounds would get much more severe and at times her body would recover and her pale cheeks would have a pink flush to them.

It was a roller coaster of emotions to deal with.

The entire family was behind her in her room, watching her every second of the day.

Before they could realize it, three days had passed.

The duke’s mansion welcomed a new guest,

Without any regard to his appearance, the duke rushed to the gates to receive him.

The man named Claus looked like a young man in his mid-twenties. the man glanced at him coldly without any expression. “Where is this troubled student of mine?”

“She is up in her room. This way please.” The duke led him up to Feng’s room.

Claus glanced at the pale girl lying on the bed. He walked up to her and gently held her stick-like wrist.

“She lost so much weight,” the lady beside the bed whispered wiping the tears off her eyes

This girl had been unconscious for three days but her body had deteriorated so fast that she was only skin and bones. It was all due to the effect of the continuous wounds and healing process. It had sucked a lot of energy out of her body to heal itself even though it was with healing powers.

He checked her pulse.

To his surprise, she had a very strong beating heart.

Claus did not expect this at all. ‘such a strong vitality... it’s a wonder how did Hary even find this girl..’ he sat down on the bed edge and slowly removed the veil of isolation that was keeping her isolated form the time magic in the air.

Everyone in the room panicked.

They were holding their breathing, watching Feng intently.

Claus placed a hand on her wallowed cheeks. A small glistening sheen of silver glowed and right before their eyes they watched Feng’s body regain its healthy state. The weight she had lost in those three days all came back in just a moment.

The due clenched his fist watching this magic. This was the true power of time mage. Time reversal. Not many knew of this power and not many times mages were actually powerful enough to actually achieve anything with their time magic.

He had never even heard of this man named Claus before, that was what surprised him.

‘who did such a powerful man hide himself so well...’

Thinking back there were so many clues. The man was talking so informally to the principal, who was ripe in his age. That could only mean they were acquaintances.

The duke came to a conclusion, The man named Claus was a wise old-time mage with the appearance of a young man.

Claus removed his hand from the young girls’ cheeks and sighed. “it’s much more severe than I had expected.” He pulled out a small pendant from his neck. It was a golden shining crystal. He placed It on Feng’s chest. “Your young lady is very strong but at the same time, this strength is killing her. If she stays here with you, she will die...”

Elle who was silently sitting beside the bed, glanced at him resolutely. “Then I implore you to take her with you.”

Everyone in the room froze.

Ethan and Aiden, who was sitting on the bed glanced at her in shock.

“Take her along with you.” Elle repeated herself.

Claus raised a brow curiously. “The young lady who talked to me that day? Is that you?”

Eli nodded. “So will you take her?”

Claus glanced back at the elders in the room. “I obviously can’t snatch their child without permission. So... what do you guys think? If you are going to ask me to stay in your mansion, I would like to reject this offer. I have a lot of this to achieve in these following years and can’t afford to stay here. she will not survive without me. As the little lady implored it is best, I take her with me. I would assure you she will be safe and sound with me. I would teach her how to stabilize her powers well.”

The duke glanced at lady Hiliana. “What is your decision on this?”

Lady Hiliana sighed. “What more can we do? Sir Claus please bring alien our dear Feng in your journey. She.. she is such a young child so be careful not to put a lot of strain on her. If she feels tired or hungry... please take good care of her.” The strong lady Hiliana broke down in tears. She silently sniffled into her kitchen. “How long will It take for her condition to improve?”

“don’t know, might be days, years.... I can’t say for sure.” Claus shrugged.

Lady Hiliana froze. “c-can she visit home in the meantime... once six months would be wonderful/”

Claus grimaced. “Not possible. I, no we will be touring around with world. I might be out of range for even your communication device. So return is not possible. but I assure you will send her back after her training is done,”

Lady Hiliana gritted her teeth and nodded. “We will d as you say.”

“Great. Let’s not delay anything further,” Claus directly went to the bed and lifted Feng up in his arms.

Everyone panicked. “Right now? I mean she is still unconscious. Isn’t it better to start you journey after she is up and awake?’ The duke stood in his way.

“Umm no, like I said. I have such a busy schedule. She will wake up soon, don’t worry. Ill call you guys when she does.”

The duke remained standing in his way.

In just a second Claus’s figure disappeared and appeared behind him. The man casually hummed and walked away with Feng in his arms.

“Wait!!” Ethan ran to him and clung to his shirt. “Take me with you.”

“yes, take us with you!” Aiden also clung to his other side.

Claus glanced at them both. “ah Erin’s prodigies. Sorry, you both have a master who is alive and kicking and so I am not responsible for either of you. Taking one kid on this journey is harder, taking three along is torture. Sorry but I don’t wish to go through this.” he disappeared completely from their sight.

Everyone just looked around searching for his familiar figure, but he was gone.

the duke clenched his fist. “He could have let us say our goodbyes!!”

The principal who was standing around like a clay statue in the room nodded. “He is like that. Ignore him.”

“How can I! our precious lady of our family is with him now AND HE DIDN’T EVEN LET US... HAVE A LOOK AT HER...” the duke raged punching the walls in rage.

The duke calmed himself down. “I might have to implore you to track him every day for me mister Erin,”

The principal started to sweat. “I.. I think I’m feeling dizzy...” he slowly backed away.

The duke had lost his sanity. Probably the scapegoat for his anger would be him. ‘Claus you asshat! Look what you did! This raging beast is going to end up at my house gates every morning now. What will I do? My perfectly peaceful life Is gone....’

Erin walked up to the boys. And said in secret. “Sorry guys, I will find you boys later. I think your uncle will kills if I reject his sudden requests.”

Ethan and Aiden didn’t reply.

“Ethan? Aiden?” he gently touched both their head.

they both glanced up with tears in their eyes.

“Oh...you us are crying... tears.... Oh no. do you want a candy? I have one I think...” he frantically searched through his pocket.

Aiden simply landed against him and silently cried. “years... he said years. I miss her already.”

Ethan sniffled. “Me too... I miss her so much. That bad man... he is so mean...”

Erin sighed. He picked up the boys onto his bent knees and hugged them. “you guys like her so much huh? Guess what now you guys have a good chance at getting her love?”

Both of them stopped crying instantly.

“How?” Ethan hesitantly whispered.

“well, if you had grown up alone side her she would have only treated you as kids.”

Ethan and Aiden grimaced. The situation was already like that. Even though they both flirted with Feng she would just call them cute and pinch their cheeks.

Erin laughed slightly. “But now you guys get to grow up and be all manly before you meet up with her. Show off your handsome face and sweep that lady off her feet.”

Ethan glanced at Aiden. “We both have the same face.”

Erin was stumped. “Well... you guys can both try to....”

Aiden frowned. “That is not proper. Don’t incite some weird thing to us old man. only one person can be Feng’s husband and it will be me,”

“No, me.” Ethan glared back at him. “This is a bet. We’ll see who Feng chooses.”
