Feng watched the young girl try to act smart with her eyes narrowed, ‘shit of this goes on we might get kicked off this ship,’

“Kind sir, we don’t ask much, I can work for you in the fire room so please..... please let me and my brothers stay here,” she whispered with tears in her eyes.

The young aristocratic lady frowned.

‘What are frowning at girl, you think you can beat my academy award acting,’ Feng lowered her head softly sobbing. One of her hand clenched into the kid’s paws tightly and pulled him close to her.

Aiden peered up at her while biting his lips. {‘wh-why is she crying? Ethan, do something she is crying again,’} he sent a distressed thought.

Ethan glanced around at the crowd and his sight landed on the young silver haired man next to the lavishly dressed lady, {‘my, who do we have here, its Yubiri, what is he doing here in disguise?’}

{‘Brother, I asked you to console her,’} Aiden whined softly.

Rolling his eyes, Ethan stepped forward, “sirs, me-me and my siblings won’t take much space. We... we can sleep in a small corner huddled together, we don’t even need much food, just a bread a day.... please don’t throw us back in the ocean,” he softly whimpered.

“Oh, Ethan!!” Feng cried loudly and suddenly pulled him over to her bosom. “Don’t cry, sister will take care of you, you... you can eat my bread to, I don’t want anything.” She sobbed softly.

‘Ha! See that, I’m shedding tears now, come on, fall for it. I really do not want to float around and turn into dried meat,’ she mentally thought as she hugged the stiff little kid in her embrace. His body was slightly stiff, but as time went on her softened. A small hand gently patted her lowered head. ‘waa, is he trying to console me? How cute,’ she nuzzled against him even more.

The onlookers saw this spectacle with tears in their eyes. “Captain, please let them stay, these poor souls I can’t see them suffer so much,” an old lady shouted from behind while wiping her eyes vigorously.

“Y-yes, they shall stay,” the captain said while sniffing loudly. “You there, there is a free room near the storage room take them there,”

“no, I have a room next to my drawing room, its free they can stay there, how can such little kids handle the harsh weather,” the kind old lady came forward and said gently. “Little ones will you stay with this old grandma,”

Feng shyly looked up at her. ‘Clear eyes, lavish jewellery, clear skin, no signs of malice = good choice of shelter,’

“Y-yes lady, we-we would be honoured,” she bowed stiffly.

“Oh how well mannered you are, come on now, let me take you to your rooms,” she happily held their dirty hands and led them along.

While walking through the hallways, the twins remained serenely quiet. Feng occasionally glanced down and smirked at them.

“We are here,” the old lady opened a lavish looking room. “The bedroom is this way,” inside there were two rooms, one drawing room and an attached bed room for that. “I will ask the maids to bring in some hot water to bathe, come here,” she gently held Feng’s hands, “you are just the right size as my Elle, her clothes will fit you perfectly. And you both, I shall borrow some of my acquaintances’ clothes,’ she said with a gentle smile.

After showing them around, she left, giving them a plate full of freshly baked biscuits.

{‘how are we staying in this lavish room, weren’t we supposed to stay in the fire room?’} Aiden sends a thought.

{‘that girl..... she is changing our fate,’} last life before this old lady couldn’t see them because the captain had ushered them below deck, because this girl cried and fussed, the kind lady noticed them. Ethan held his brother’s hand and tottered behind the little girl.

Feng glanced at the beautiful painting mounted on the wall and nodded. “Good strokes, I bet it will be worth a lot,” with a smiling face she looked down at the twins. They both were watching her with their eyes narrowed. “Oh, were you both listening, I was just admiring it,”

“Don’t steal it,” Ethan said gruffly.

“Hey, I won’t resort to stealing if I could help it. Besides, what would I do with a painting, its better is steal something delicious to eat,” Feng cheerfully said and plopped on the bed. “You both, I’m your sister now. You don’t have to be shy, depend in me, I will definitely put food on our table,” she said with a proud look.

“Hmm, that’s our bed,” Ethan pointed to her.

“Eh, this bed is big enough for us all. Let’s sleep together. I’ll share you some good bedtime stories,”

“You..... You shameless, men and women can sleep together before marriage,” Ethan shouted with a red face.
