162 Chapter 162 – Accepting a new master

The man’s squeaky clean white shoes came close to her. “You’re smart, but not that smart. The magic powers here are all sucked in by the trees. So even if you climb up high and jump down again you won’t be able to get a proper sentence though,” he squatted down next to her. “Why are you even trying to run away?”

“Hello, you took me away from my home, put a weird spell so that I spit out all my trust and now you are expecting me to believe you. I don’t believe a word out of your mouth.”

The man sighed. “Fine, wait,” he took out another piece of weird spell paper from his clothes. “This is a truth spell. I’ll put it on myself you can check it.”

Feng scoffed. “it doesn’t work. You are a liar and you are only trying to...” the man slapped it on her forehead all of a sudden. “Hey!” before she could reach out and pluck it off he grabbed his hand.

“What is your deepest darkest secret, miss Rofles.”

Feng’s mouth moved on its own. “I have a system that gives me tasks and also gives me extra lives to complete it!” gasping she pulled her hand out of his hold and tore that thing off his forehead. Eyes wide open she glanced up at him.

“Interesting... super interesting.” He took the instant spell paper from her hands and held it up. “do you believe that this is genuine.”

Feng gritted her teeth. “I-I don’t.”

“You have to. You know what is true in your heart.” He pasted it on his cheeks looking like a silly cute puppy. “Ask me anything,”

“no one. I was enjoying my peaceful life when I was summoned by the principal of the magic school and called to save a small brat’s life.” he poked her nose.

Feng moved back wiping at her nose. “What is your purpose in taking me away? Do you have any bad intentions?”

You need to be in a place that would absorb that magic from your body to keep you from exploding. This place is it. the black forest is known to be dangerous only because the black birch trees are known for breathing in all f the magic in this area leaving it barren. Even the most powerful mage would be left devoid of powers. And answering your second question I do not have any bad intentions.”

Feng blinked. She partially believed him now. Her body was shaking badly before she collapsed and after that, she had no recollection. “Why did my body become that way?” she cautiously looked his way.

“You have awakened a very powerful time ability. Such a powerful force is harder to control at such a young age. That is why it’s vital for mages to join a magic school to be guided step by step to use their powers without going out of control. But you troublesome brat had to do the opposite. You used your powers before your body was ready to accept it leaving you in this predicament,” the man once again pinched her cheeks.

Feng pushed his hand away. “I have used my powers before. This didn’t happen.”

Feng dazedly stood up looking at his dazzling smile. “Has anyone told you look like an angel?” she said with a frown once again. she hurriedly plucked that sticker off and tore it in case the man would stick it on her again.

“I am well aware of how good I look. That is why I try my best to hide it. men and women go crazy for it. young miss, you have to promise me one thing. You must not fall in love with me. I have already passed through so much in my life. I down twist to have a clingy tail in this life as well.” The man said with a weird expression.
