Funny how the seasons change.
One day you're 16 and driving in your minivan, windows down because the AC doesn't work, blasting Macklemore on your way to work your summer job in the outdoor pool. You wake up, and the next day or 21 driving home from the corporate job, running your own business in an creative concentration that you adore and living in an apartment with your best friends. Somehow, you still know every word in the Macklemore song that comes on, but this time, when you sing, "I just got a new whip, push start!" you're driving down I-40 in the new push start car you bought yourself.
Sometimes, somehow between Macklemore and now you grew up, and life got better.
