Trees can be replanted.
Buildings can be rebuilt.
Appetites will return.
And time will heal all wounds.
Yet, as I look at splinters of the fractured trees,
Their roots still in the ground.
Their trunks lying mangled by their side,
I can't help but to think about how some things -trees, history, and relationships -
Split for good,
and are never quite the same again.
Yet, despite the split,
I have hope that life goes on
And somehow, someway, it will all be okay.
Foundations can be rebuilt
Or foundations can be replaced.
Regardless, faith remains and hope endures.
