friends strong enough to pray

I'm thankful

That on the days

Where I can no longer bear

To be the strong one,

My friends stand strong

In their faith,

For me.

Sometimes, the ones I least expect

Text, "I'll be praying for ya for the decision making process"

And just like that,

A small weight lifts off of me

Even if just one prayer

Goes up for me,

That's enough.

I feel to broken to pray

Too defeated to plea

And to sad to be strong.

My confidence in God's goodness

Has not wavered.

My trust in Him

Has not broken,

And my faith in the power

Of prayer

Has not changed,

Yet, today,

It feels as though

I am too shattered to pray.

And on days like this,

The only prayer I have

To offer up,

Is a prayer of gratitude.

"Thank you God.

Thank you for friends,

Strong enough to pray for me,

When I am too weak

To be strong for any longer."
