Chapter 38 It Was Such a Pity âBrother Alexander?â
In the corridor outside the study, James, who was preparing to go downstairs, frowned and looked at a sneaky man. âItâs so late, why are you at our house?â
Alexander was stunned and quickly made a âshhâ gesture to the little fellow. He pointed to the study room and said, âDonât make a sound! Your daddy and your new mommy are inside.â James frowned and thought for a while, and understood. âSince I canât disturb them, Brother Alexander, you canât disturb them either.â The little fellow pursed his lips and directly grabbed Alexanderâs sleeve. âLetâs go. Iâll treat you to some plain water!â Alexander: ââ¦.â âYou can go by yourself.â He stopped in his tracks and stood still. âCousin, I have another mission.â
âWhat mission?â James blinked.
âOf course it isâ¦â
Alexander smiled slyly and took out a recording pen, âGrandpa has always doubted Uncleâs sexual orientation⦠If I get the recording today, I can ask Grandpa for some pocket moneyâ¦â
Before the man could finish his words, the recording pen in his hand was directly taken away by a big hand with slender fingers. At the same time, the manâs low and cold voice sounded in his ear, âThen you may be disappointed.â
Alexander was stunned and quickly turned around. Behind him, the man in a white shirt was standing at the door of the study, his eyes elegant and lazy. âAlexander, it seems that you donât need Maryâs help.â
He held his recording pen in his hand.
Alexanderâs face suddenly turned green and black âUncle, you heard wrong.â *This recording pen of mine is actually for recording the sound of the script that Auntie will analyze for me later.â âWhat script A cool female voice came from behind William Mary was still wearing the sexy pajamas, but they were already covered with Williamâs gray suit jacket. His coat was very big, and when she was wearing it, the hem just happened to reach her thighs, which could cover her beautiful figure.
âItâs like this.â âLittle Aunt, I heard from Sherry that your understanding and analysis of scripts were very thoroughâ¦â Alexander pursed his lips. âI just happened to want to make a movie recently and be the male lead in the movieâ¦â he smiled, a little embarrassed. âSo I want you to help me with my character,â
he said, quickly picking up the script and stuffing it into Maryâs hands. Mary took the script She turned to look at William. âYou said before that⦠you wanted to take up one night of my timeâ¦â
âItâs for this stupid script.â
William said lightly.
Mary: ââ¦â Alright, she had completely misunderstood⦠âHowever.â The manâs black eyes swept across Maryâs red face. âIâll satisfy you in the future.â Mary: ââ¦â She did not dare to look at him, so she could only bite the bullet and return to the study. âIâll help you with it.â
William looked at her dejected back and smiled âSo Mommy has to work overtime tonight?
James looked at Marys back with his eyes wide open âYes âMommy is too tired âIll get my brother to make milk tea for Mommy,â the little fellow sighed Milk tea?
âBring me a cup too, Alexander said as his eyes lit up. âThereâs only boiled water for you,â James said as he raised his head and looked at him silently.
Alexanderâs script was actually not long, and Mary had finished reading it in less than two hours.
She sat on the sofa and used a pen to draw an analysis of the character relationship on the paper.
Occasionally, she would look up and steal a glance at William.
He was sitting in the main seat of the study and working.
This was the first time that Mary had observed William working seriously at a close distance. Unlike his usual laziness, this man was exceptionally handsome and charming when he was serious. From her angle, she could see his long and curly eyelashes, his tall nose, his thin lips, and his chiseled lower jaw.
Unconsciously, she was stunned.
âLittle Aunt?â
Alexanderâs probing voice sounded in her ear.
Only then did she come back to her senses.
âThe character I am acting is actually related to this killer in this way?â Alexander pointed at the network chart on the paper and asked doubtfully âYes, this is a secret line. I figured it out after reading the script twice.â
âSigh.â âI hate this female actress who plays the killer role. I donât want to play with her.â Alexander sighed.
âSince you want to be a good actor, you should treat yourself as that role. Once you get into the role, you wonât hate her anymore.â Mary lowered her head, writing something. Alexander curled his lips and didnât say anything. Another hour passed and Mary finally analyzed all the psychological analysis and had written several pages of notes. She stretched and handed the script to Alexander. âIâve heard of this movie before. Wasnât the male lead Raymond? How did it suddenly become you?â Alexander took the script and smiled slyly. âThe female lead of this movie is very beautiful.â
âI want to go after her, so I stole Raymondâs role.â Mary: ââ¦â Was this even possible?
âThe protagonist that has been decided is not so easy to pick, right?â
âJust a matter of a few words.â The man who was working with his head lowered stopped the pen in his hand.
He raised his head and glanced at Mary with his bottomless eyes. âYou can tell me which movie you like in the future.â Mary: ââ¦â She shrugged. âIâm just a stunt double. I donât need this privilege!â
âItâs getting late. If thereâs nothing else, Iâll go back to sleep first.â The woman stretched. After saying that, she turned around and strode away.
Alexander stood where he was and looked in the direction she had left. He frowned slightly. âUncle, are you really not going to check Little Auntâs past?â
âI can see she actually likes acting and is very experienced.â âWhat kind of past could it be that makes her not want to be an official actress at all?â
âMaybe itâs a knot in her heart.â William lowered his head and continued to work on the documents.
He did not want to look into her past.
He didnât care whether she was good or bad in the past or what she had experienced As long as she could be his wife in peace, the past was not important. âItâs a pity.â Alexander pouted. âItâs not. As long as she likes this industry, she will shine brightly sooner or later.â
âBut she doesnât want to be an official actress.â
Even though she doesnât want to act, can she really avoid acting at all?â William asked indifferently as he looked at the documents.
