3rd Person's POV
Y/n, Harry, Ron and Hermione entered a dark room with barely visible statues
"I don't like this...I don't like this at all" Hermione said with a noticeable scared tone
"Where are we?" Ron asked them
"The graveyard?" Harry suggested
"This is no graveyard" Ron and Y/n said in unihson. They walked in front together
"Y/n.. are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Ron asked her
"uh-huh...." Y/n replied and they looked at each other
"It's a chessboard" They said in Unison
As they recognized, the lamps lighted brightly . Harry and Hermione followed Ron and Y/n into the board.
"There's the door!" Harry pointed
"No Don't go--" Y/n tried to stop them but they already started walking but stopped immediately when the pawns shielded the door with their swords. The trio walked backwards where Y/n was standing
"Now what do we do?" Hermione asked
"It's obvious, isn't it? We've got to play our way across the room...." Ron stepped forward
"All right....Harry, You take the empty bishop's square...Hermione, You'll be the queen-side castle and Y/n.......go stand on king's square" Ron said and Y/n raised her eyebrows
"Are you sure making me.. The King?" Y/n asked him
"Yes...and as for me.. I'll be a knight" Ron said and they took their positions
"What happens now?" Hermione asked
"Well....White moves first..and then we play" Ron told them
'Why do I hear the back ground music in my ears....Did I watch this movie more times than I thought' Y/n thought but mentally slapped her 'Don't think of that now!!!!! It is serious in here'
A pawn moved forward, Ron was thinking what should he do but Hermione interrupted him
"Ron, you don't suppose this is going to be like......real wizard's chess, do you?" Hermione asked
Ron gulped and said..."you there...d5" Ron yelled and the pawn moved forward and when he did the white pawn broke it into pieces with a huge noise. four of them gulped
"Yes, Hermione" Ron said
"Its gonna be exactly like wizard's chess" Y/n said gulping
As far as the game begun, Ron managed to play wisely without harming any of his friends. Broken pieces were all over the ground. Y/n and Harry could understand the game and then the moment came
"Wait a minute" Harry said
"Ron..don't-" Y/n said but stopped knowing it was the only way
"You understand right, Harry..Y/n" Ron replied
"Once I make my move, the queen will take me...then you're free to check the king" Ron explained
"No! Ron No!" Harry yelled
"You're a chess-genius .. you can think of any else way..just don't" Y/n said, she knew it was the only way but she didn't want Ron to get hurt.
"What is it?" Hermione said not understanding anything
"He's going to sacrifice himself" Harry told her
"No You can't!... there must be another way" Hermione yelled at Ron
"do you want to stop Snape from getting that stone or not?" Ron argued back making Hermione stop talking
"Harry, its you that has to go on..I know it.....Not me Not Hermione, You.....and Y/n too.." Ron said looking at Y/n
"I'm not going to leave you, Ron" Y/n warned
"You have to... With your help.. Harry and You will get the stone in no time... You have to go with him.....For me" Ron and she nodded at him. Ron took a deep breath
"knight to h3" he said and closed his eyes. the knight moved forward and slid to the right, he stood few boxes away from king
"check" Ron said and all of them were breathing loudly. the queen turned to face Ron and started moving towards him. Ron was trembling, Y/n was more nervous than anyone there
'please let it happen the way it happened in the movies and books!!!!' Y/n prayed in her thoughts
The queen stood right in front of Ron and shove its sword in the Knight, Ron was sitting on"
"AHHHHH!!!" Ron screamed making Y/n close her eyes with guilt, because she couldn't do anything to stop it
"RON!!!!!" Harry yelled and Hermione was about to go to him but Y/n stopped her
"No, Don't move yet!!!!" Y/n yelled
"Don't forget, we're still playing" Harry told her and Hermione stepped back
Harry begun walking diagonal way to the king and stop in front of it
"Checkmate!" He said loudly and The king dropped his sword. There was a bright light around Y/n's square. It glowed for few seconds then stopped
"I think we can move now!!" Y/n said and ran towards Ron
He was unconsciously laying on the ground
"Take care of Ron. Then go to the Owlery...Send a message to Dumbledor using either Hedwig or Haru.." Harry told Hermione and Y/n
"Ron's right..I have to go on..you two go" Harry said to them
"I'm going with you...didn't you hear Ron??? We have to go together" Y/n told him
"No..You--" Harry said but Y/n interrupted him
"I'm not asking, Harry... I'm telling you" Y/n said and Harry nodded
"You two will be okay...You're a great wizard and a witch.... you two really are" Hermione said to them
"Not as good as you" Harry replied
"Definitely not like you" Y/n smiled and Hermione chuckled
"Me?? Books and cleverness....There are more important things...Friendship and bravery..And Y/n.. Harry, just be careful" Hermione said to them and they nodded
"We will.... take care of Ron and yourself until we come..." Y/n said standing up. Harry and Y/n looked at each other and started walking away
'let's get this done now' Y/n thought taking a deep breath
They walked down the stairs side by side.. and entered a room with The Mirror of Erised in the middle. A man was standing there. Harry winched in pain and Y/n stroke his arms
As they walked down, Harry recognized the person
"You??" Harry asked disbelief
"No, It can't be.. Snape.. he--he was---" Harry stuttered
"Yes, He does seem the type, doesn't he....next to him, who would suspect..p-p-p-poor, s--t--stuttering..Professor Quirrell" He smirked
"I would" Y/n said loudly
"As expected from you...Intelligence..Your mother had it...A Pretty Ravenclaw She was...A pity she is dead" Quirrell smirked again
"that's because the person behind you" Y/n said glaring at him
"So you know that too???" Quirrell said, smirk never leaving his face
"But that day, during the Quidditch match, Snape tried to kill us" Harry said
"No, dear boy, I tried to kill you two!" Quirrell spat
"And trust me.. If Snape's cloak hadn't caught fire and broken my eye contact. I would have succeeded....Even with Snape muttering he's little counter-curse" He glared at both of them
"Snape was trying to save us??? Y/n, you were right the whole time" Harry told her at wrong time and place
"I knew you were danger to right after the off...especially after Halloween.." Quirrell yelled at them ignoring Harry
"Then you let the troll in!" Harry yelled
"Very good, Potter, Yes.....Since that night you!!" he pointed at Y/n "You glared at me whenever you saw a glimpse of me.. I had believed that you too suspected me...just like Snape... He, unfortunately, wasn't fooled just like you little girl....." He glared at Y/n
"When everyone else was running about the Dungeon.. He went to third floor to head me off. He  of course, never trusted me again. " Quirrell turned to look at mirror and Harry felt a sharp pain on his scar
"He rarely left me alone. but he does understand.. That I'm never--" Quirrell said but Y/n interrupted him
"Never what???? Alone????" Y/n chuckled darkly"the person you're working for, will leave you the second he's done with you" Y/n smirked at him this time
"You know nothing.....Now, what does this mirror do? I see what I desire.. I see myself holding the Stone. But how do I get it?" He yelled furiously.
"Use the boy and the girl" They heard someone. in the room. Harry looked everywhere to find who was it
"Come here! Potter and Kim! NOW!!!" Quirrell yelled and both of started walking at them
'Well..we've got to listen to our teacher once...no matter how bad he is' Y/n thought while walking towards him. And they stood on front of the mirror
"tell me.. What do you two see??" Quirrell said slowly
Both of them squinted their eyes to see. They saw Y/n's reflection was playing with something red, she smiled and gave it to Harry's reflection. He showed that the thing was The Philosopher's Stone. His reflection winked at them, putting it in his pocket.
Harry slowly touched his pocket, to feel the stone in his pocket. Harry and Y/n looked at eachother and gave the sign by talking with their eyes. they quickly looked back at the mirror
Harry was trying not to react while Y/n was fighting her inner-self that wanted to smirk
"What it is? What do you see,, Potter?" Quirrell fiercely
"Uh- I'm shaking hands with Dumbledor..I've won the house cup" Harry said the first thing came into his mind.
"What about you, Kim?" He asked her
"Um......" Y/n said thinking what she should say
"I'm riding a .. Dragon?" Y/n said quickly
"They're lying" They heard
"Tell the truth!!!what do you see?????!!" he yelled at them
"truth????? What do you think first years can see???" Y/n raised her eyebrows savagely
"listen here you---" Quirrell begun but a voice interrupted him
"Let me speak to them"
"Master, you are not strong enough" Quirrell talked to himself
"I have strength enough for this" they heard Harry grabbed Y/n's hands and started walking backwards, leaving Quirrell who was taking off his turban. When he did they saw a man's face attached with back of Quirrell's head
"Harry Potter... we meet again.... Nice to finally see you Ms. Kim" The a chalk-white face with red eyes said from the mirror
"Voldemort" Harry and Y/n said together
"Yes... You two see what I've have become??? See what I must do to survive?? Live off another..A mere Parasite...." Voldemort said
'Okay..now this is more scarier than the one in movies... Don't scream, don't scream' Y/n thought
"Unicorn blood can sustain me..but it cannot give me a body of my own..." He said and looked right in the eye of Harry and Y/n
"But.. there is something that can...something that, conveniently enough, lies in your pocket" He said and Harry dragged Y/n to run with him
"STOP THEM!!" Voldemort yelled and Quirrell snapped his fingers making Fire everywhere. Harry and Y/n stepped back a little
"Don't be a fool.....Why suffer an horrific death..when you can join me a live?" Voldemort suggested to them
"NEVER!!" Harry and Y/n yelled and Voldemort laughed darkly
"Bravery, both of your parents had it too.. Tell me, Harry and Ms.Kim Would you like to see your mother and father again?" He said and Harry could see his parents in the mirror. Y/n didn't glanced at it but looked a Harry
"Together...we can bring them back...All I ask is for something in return" Voldemort said
Harry took his other hand that Y/n wasn't holding. He pulled out the bright red Philosopher's Stone from his pocket
"That's it,Harry...There is no good and evil....There is only power.. and those too weak to seek it" Voldemort said and Harry looked at the stone
"Together...we'll do extra-ordinary things.. Just Give me the STONE!" Voldemort said and Y/n gripped Harry's hand tightly making him look at her. She shook her head and looked at the mirror. Harry followed her gaze and saw his parents disappearing from the mirror
"YOU LIAR!!!" Harry yelled holding Y/n's hand tightly
"KILL HIM!!" Voldemort yelled and Harry pushed Y/n away from him when he saw Quirrell flying towards him. Quirrell directly grabbed Harry's neck, Y/n went to grab Quirrell off Harry but Quirrell grabbed her hair with his other hand making her whimper in pain. She tried to get away from him by pushing him away, but it didn't work.
While pushing she somehow touched Voldemort's face making him winch at the same time Harry had burnt Quirrell's hand.
Quirrell gasped and pulled away from both of them
"What is this magic???"Â Quirrell yelled watching his hand turn into ash
"Fool, get the stone!" Voldemort yelled and Quirrell ran towards them
"Harry! touch his face!" Y/n yelled getting the stone
Harry listened to Y/n and pushed Quirrell by his face and blisters appeared on his face and and he soon turned into ashes. His clothes fell into the ground.
Harry went to Y/n who was gripping the stone in her hand
"How did it happen?" Harry asked looking at his hands "do you know?" He asked Y/n but she shook her head
"What about the stone..how did we get it?" Harry asked
"I have a idea how it happened" Y/n said passing the stone to Harry
While were talking they didn't notice a shadow made of dust was behind them. Y/n was waiting for it to happen
"GET AWAY HARRY!!!!" Y/n yelled standing in front of him but it was too late. The shadow of Voldemort passed right threw her. There was a throbbing pain in her chest, she screamed and didn't notice that same thing happened with Harry, but he managed to hold her hand and keep the Stone safe between their hands.
Y/n felt something warm in her hand but fell unconscious and everything turned black
Time Skip
When Y/n opened her eyes, she felt a her head lighter than usual. She blinked few times to adjust her eyes to face the light. When she fully opened her eyes, she saw someone in brown robes walking inside the hospital wing
"Professor Dumbledor" She said in her deep morning voice and cleared her her throat while getting up
"Good Afternoon, Y/n" Dumbledor greeted "You did a great job" He smiled
"Great??? I did nothing" Y/n looked down "Harry figured everything by himself....I said I would help him but look at him now..." She looked at him " He got hurt..many many times...I couldn't even do anything" she said
"He will get the injuries he is meant to have..You might change the future.. but you can't change this... It is meant to happen...just like you coming here.... For Harry, You became someone he needed.." Dumbledor told her
"What???" Y/n asked him
"A friend... who has similar experiences like him.. In future he might need you to be by his side.."Â Dumbledor smiled
"Me??? He is Harry Potter.. he'll can figure it..even without me" Y/n said and Dumbledor Signed
"Ms.Kim...If it wasn't for you....Harry would've gotten worse injuries last night... If I'm not wrong..I assume you pushed Harry to face whatever wanted to hurt him" He said she nodded
"When you two were moved in the Hospital wing.. your condition was worse than Harry.... You protected him....if you keep doing that... Nothing will be able to touch Harry ..and as for you... I know that He will protect you back " Dumbledor said but Y/n didn't looked convinced
"Y/n.. You are more important than you think you are.. If you weren't.. this people wouldn't have sent you these gifts and cards..Even they know it.." He said and Y/n finally noticed that her table was full of flowers and cards, she smiled and looked at Dumbledor
"I know you are having doubts about yourself right now... but keep doing what you promised... you will know why I am telling you this.... " Dumbledor said and Y/n nodded
"I want to apologize to you..because I had a peek of your flowers and cards.. and it seemed that most of your admirers are male students....." Dumbledor said Y/n felt her cheeks burn and than harry woke up beside her bed.
He took his glasses from the night stand. When he wore it he saw that his table was full of cards and Candies.
" Good afternoon, Harry" He walked to his bed
"Ah.. Tokens from your admirers?" Dumbledor smiled
"Admirers?" Harry asked not believing it
"What happened in the dungeons between you, Y/n and Professor Quirrell is a complete secret....So, naturally.. the whole schools knows" Dumbledor said smiling. Harry and Y/n chuckled
"I see that your friend Ronald has saved you the trouble of opening your Chocolate Frogs" Dumbledor said looking at the empty boxes
"Ron was here? Is he alright? What about Hermione? And What about Y/n, where is she?" Harry asked worriedly
"I am here..." Y/n said moving her hands sarcastically. " And Ron and Hermione are fine" Y/n smiled
"What happened to the stone?" Harry hurriedly asked again
"Relax. dear boy.. The Stone has been destroyed...My friend Nicholas and I had a little chat and we agreed it was best all around.." Dumbledor said walking between Y/n's and Harry's bed
"But then, Flamel, he'll die, won't he?" Harry asked and Dumbledor took a seat on Harry's bed
"He has enough Elixir to set his affairs in orders...But yes..he will die?" Dumbledor said smiling sadly
"How is it we got the Stone, sir?... One minute we were staring in the mirror and-" Harry begun but Dumbledor stopped him
"You see, only a person..who wanted to find the stone, Find it....but not use it, would be able to get it.." Dumbledor explained
"That is one of my brilliant ideas....and between you two and me, that is saying something" Dumbledor smirked. and Y/n chuckled lightly
"Does that mean,with the stone gone, that is...that Voldemort can never come back?" Harry asked eagerly and Dumbledor looked at Y/n,who shook her head lightly in reply
"I'm afraid..there are ways in which he can return" Dumbledor stated and Harry looked a little sad
"Harry, do you know why, Professor Quirrell couldn't bear to have you touch him?" Dumbledor asked and Harry shook his head
"It was because of your mother. She sacrificed herself for you...And that kind of act leaves a mark" Dumbledor said and Harry touched his scar
"No no..this kind of mark cannot be seen..It lives in your very skin" Dumbledor explained
"what is it?" Harry asked and Dumbledor looked at Y/n telling her to continue
"Love, Harry....Love " Y/n smiled and Harry looked at her while Dumbledor smiled
"Just like your mother.... Someone did leave a mark on you while protecting you.. I believe you should thank the person" Dumbledor said patting his head and Y/n got what he was hinting and started blushing
"Who? Professor?" Harry asked
"Your friend... Y/n..She sacrificed herself to protect you... she could've gotten hurt more badly than she got..but because of the stone..you placed in her hands.. saved her..." Dumbledor said and Y/n crossed her eyebrows..
'that is not how it happened' she thought
"But you said that mark stays, only when the person loves you--" Harry went red and looked at Y/n with wide eyes
"he did not say that, Harry!" Y/n looking looking away with visible red cheeks and Dumbledor smiled getting up
'does this old man.....ship us?????' Y/n said fixing her hair blushing
but the she noticed that her clip is gone, she panicked and was about to ask
"Your friend, Ms. Granger has it... I'm pretty sure that she gave that to your brother, Jake" Dumbledor said confirming her
"Ah...Bertie Bott's Every flavor beans...I was most unfortunate in my youth to come across the vomit-flavored one...And since then, I lost my liking for them....But I think I could be safe with a nice toffee" Dumbledor said taking one from the box
"You should not trust it, Professor" Y/n said but he already ate one
"Hmm.. I should've listened to you....Alas.. Earwax" Dumbledor said walking away leaving Harry and Y/n alone..
"You did it, Harry" Y/n smiled
"No...we did it... I couldn't have done anything with you, Hermione and Ron.. You were right all along" Harry smiled
"Thanks for saying that" Y/n chuckled
"Thank you for saving me.... From now on...I'll be the one protecting you" Harry said sheepishly
"No.. Potter... don't take my job from me!" Y/n scolded him playfully
After a while, they walked out the Hospital wing together to see Ron and Hermione waiting for them.  When they noticed them, Both of them ran towards them smiling
"All right there, Ron?" Harry asked
"All right, you two?" Ron replied asking,Harry and Y/n shrugged "All right"
"Hermione, what about you?" Y/n asked her
"Never better" Hermione smiled.
Four of them were talking, enjoying their moment, until
"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL YOU THINK YOU DID???????!!!!!" They heard a person yell
"Uh-oh" Y/n muttered
"Y/N KIM!!!!" Jake came walking furiously towards her making Y/n walk few steps back. Jake came and grabbed her by her shoulder
"what were you thinking??? At least you could've told me!!!Do you know how worried I was when my locket started glowing so brightly in the middle of the night??? What if something happened to you? What if--" Jake ranted
"Jake, Jake, JAKE!!" Y/n said loudly to stop him "Listen to me... I'm fine.... Nothing happened to me..okay?" Y/n said and Jake crushed her into a tight hug. Harry, Ron and Hermione smiled at the siblings
"if you are going to do something like that again.. tell me beforehand..I'll be prepared to see you win" Jake let her go and she nodded
"Here..your hair clip.." Jake helped his sister to wear it and then they went to the Common Room, Getting praised and congratulate by students on their way
Time Skip At Night
The great hall was shining with Slytherin Banners. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were disappointed because they wanted to see Slytherin lose.
Draco was celebrating like there was no tomorrow. It was a sickening sight to see, according to Harry. Gryffindors were also down because they were at last place.
Y/n was sitting between Harry and Jake, across from Ron and Hermione. They were enjoying the feast until they heard a clink, everyone looked at the Teacher's table and saw Dumbledor getting up
"Another year gone... And now as I understand it, the House cups needs awarding. And the points stand thus: ...." Dumbledor begun
"In the Fourth place, Gryffindor with 262 points" Dumbledor said and The great Hall clapped slowly. Harry and others were feeling guilty for it
"Third place, Hufflepuff with 352 points" Dumbledor stated and Everyone clapped
"In second place, Ravenclaw with 426 points." Dumbledor announced and Everyone clapped this time a little harder
"And in first place...with 482 points,Slytherin house" Dumbledor said the Slytherin table roared with cheers, Harry clapped darkly making Jake chuckle while Y/n was confused
'Why are the points are more than the series?' Y/n thought 'How will we win now?'
"Yes, yes well done, Slytherin..however......recent events must be taken into accounts...And I have few last minute points to award" Dumbledor announced and Slytherins stopped smiling a little. while Gryffindors had got a little hope
"To Ms. Hermione Granger--" Hermione was shocked to listen her name and Y/n smiled at her
"for the cool use of intellect while others were in grave peril, 50 points!" Gryffindors cheered and Hermione went red. Ron patted her saying 'good job'
"Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley-" Ron looked at his friends asking 'me?' Harry and Y/n mouthed 'You!'
"for the best-played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 50 points!" Weasley cheered loudly
"And third, To Mr. Harry Potter-" Harry went stun, Y/n shook him a little
"for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house 60 points" Gryffindors cheered loudly while Slytherin were visibly pale
"And forth..... To Ms. Y/n Kim--" When Y/n heard her name, her heart was beating really fast
"For saving and protecting someone else while not thinking about herself for a second...." Harry looked at Y/n knowing that 'someone else' was him, he smiled at her
"I award Gryffindor 60 points!" Gryffindor table cheered along side with other two houses's male students who cheered loudly for her.. Y/n smiled widely not believing the moment.
"Why am I hearing boys students yell for you??? she's a first year you people!!!" Jake yelled at the end but everybody ignored him, Fred and George calmed him
"We've have tied with Slytherin!!" Hermione cheered
"And Finally....it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies.. but a great deal more to stand up to your friends.. I award 10 points To Neville Longbottom" Dumbledor announced Gryffindors yelled happily while Neville was shocked
"Good job, Neville" Y/n said to him
"Assuming that my calculations are correct, I believe that a change of decoration is in order!" Dumbledor clapped and the Green Slytherin banners were changed with Red Scarlet Gryffindor ones
"Gryffindors win the house cup!!" Dumbledor announced
Gryffindor table yelled loudly. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff cheered for them. Jake hugged Y/n tightly and when he let go of her, She made a little eye contact with someone in Slytherin table who was sulking.
Malfoy smiled a little when he looked away from Y/n. Three houses threw their hats up
'if its a dream... I don't wanna wake up' Y/n thought And
THUD
Y/n groaned while getting up from the floor, she felled on the floor once again.
"Why did it happen again?" Y/n groaned and then she heard someone giggle from the end of the room.
"I think you have gotten a habit of that" the person giggled while towards her
"shut up, Hermione" Y/n groaned while getting up
"You will write to me, won't you?" Hermione asked her while passing Y/n her uniform
"No....." Y/n smirked while Hermione looked hurt
"we have a telephone in our house... I'll call you" Y/n smiled
"That's much better!!! " Hermione hugged Y/n "I'll miss you so much" Hermione said crushing her
"I'll miss you to Hermione, probably if I'm alive after the bone-crushing hug" Y/n said hugging her back
Now, they were all packed to go home.
"Have a nice holiday, Kim" "See you in two months Y/n"
Y/n was hearing all of this while walking out of the castle
"You have gotten yourself some admirers Y/n" Ron chuckled
"Plus...they're all boy students" Jake grunted behind them
"Would you let it go?" Y/n chuckled while walking towards the train door. She saw Hagrid waving them. Harry looked at her
"Come on, Harry" Hermione said getting in
"One minute" Harry said walking to Hagrid. but came back dragging Y/n with him
"Why are you taking me?" Y/n chuckled letting Harry drag her
"Just come, okay?" Harry said and they stopped in front of Hagrid
"Thought you two were leaving without saying goodbye, did you?" Hagrid smiled
"There is no 'good-bye' Hagrid. Its always 'we'll comeback' " Y/n smiled
"Well, that's better" Hagrid said pulling something from his pocket
"This is for you" He said passing it to Harry "And...This for you" He said giving another one Y/n
"What?" Y/n whispered opening her book she saw The Kim family on the first page. She turned other page to see Her,Jake and Uncle Eric eating Dinner. She smiled
"Thank you Hagrid" She and Harry said together
Hagrid shook hands with them but they hugged him.
"This is much better" Y/n said hugging him
"Go on, On with you, On with you two now...oh listen Harry...If that dolt of a cousin of yours, Dudley, gives you any grief... you always um..threaten him with a nice pair of his ears to go with his tail" Hagrid suggested
"But Hagrid, we're not allowed to do magic away from Hogwarts..you know that" harry said
"I do, But your cousin don't, do he?" Hagrid wink
"You can say anything and He'll think it spells....He really doesn't need to know that they're fake" Y/n smirked and Harry chuckled and they ran away from Hagrid smiling. They saw Hermione and Ron waiting for them
"Feels strange to be going home, doesn't it?" Hermione asked feeling odd
"I'm not going home..." Harry looked at Hogwarts
"Not really" Y/n smiled waving her hands to Hagrid
'I will come back soon......wait for me adventure' Y/n thought getting on train
