3rd Person's POV
After leaving the hospital wing, Harry, Y/n and Ron went to the Gryffindor Common Room. They saw that everyone of them was there. Three of them walked to the Staircase feeling devastated. They saw McGonagall enter the room. She had a parchment roll in her hand.
"Could I have your attention please??? Because of recent, these new rules will be put into effect immediately : 'All students will return to their houses common room by 6:00 every evening.' 'All students will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher.' 'No exceptions!' "McGonagall read aloud and rolled up the paper.
"I should tell you this, unless the culprit behind all these attacks is caught.. it is likely the school will be closed" McGonagall said and left the students in the room. Everyone was shocked by the news. It was normal for them to love Hogwarts. Jake's eyes met Y/n's, He knew Y/n was going to do something that might hurt her really badly. He shook his head at her, telling her not to do anything about this matter. Y/n signed staring back at Jake and just shrugged. Her stare was broken when Harry spoke.
"We've got to talk to Hagrid!! I can't believe its him.. but if he did set the monster loose last time, He'll know how to get inside The Chamber Of Secrets. That's a start" Harry told his friends
"But You heard McGonagall!! We're not allowed to leave the tower except for class." Ron replied in whisper tone, so none else can hear them and Harry thought for a moment.
"I think its time to get my dad's old cloak out again" Harry said shortly "We'll meet after dinner, okay?" Harry said and looked at Ron, he nodded in reply. When Harry to Y/n, she was looking sad and puzzled. "Y/n?" Harry called her name while patting her shoulder, She looked at him and nodded.
After Dinner, Three of them pretended to go back to sleep. But when everybody was asleep, three of them snuck out. Harry and Ron came downstairs to Common Room. they saw Y/n already waiting for them. They hid under the Invisibility Cloak and started walking towards Hagrid's Hut.
When they reached, Y/n knocked on the door.
"Who's there?" Hagrid's voice came behind the door. Soon they heard footsteps approaching the door. Y/n stepped few steps back making Harry and Ron do the same behind her. Both of them didn't understand why she did that, until the door burst open by Hagrid's kick
"Hello??... Hello?" Hagrid called and Harry flipped the cloak off them. Hagrid signed in relief when he saw the three of them.
"What's that for?" Harry asked looking at Hagrid's not-so-welcoming weapon.
"Nothing... I was expecting... it doesn't matter. Come on in. I just made a pot of tea" Hagrid walked away from the door letting the kids enter the house. When they entered, Harry and Y/n saw that Hagrid was pouring the tea that was overflowing out of the cup.
"Hagrid, Are you okay?" Y/n asked
"I'm fine, I'm all right" Hagrid replied to her
"Did you hear about Hermione?" Harry asked him, Y/n looked down.
"Yeah, I heard about that, all right.." Hagrid replied nodding his head
"Look, we have to ask you something.... Do you know who's opened the Chamber of Secrets?" Harry asked looking straight at Hagrid's eyes.
"What you had to understand about that is---" Hagrid was cut off by a knock on the door. "Quick, under the cloak! don't say a word, Be quiet, three of you" Hagrid instructed. Harry, Y/n and Ron stood in the corner of the room and wore the cloak over them. They saw Hagrid open the door.
"Professor Dumbledore, sir!" Hagrid said in surprised tone.
"Good Evening, Hagrid.. I wonder, could we?" Dumbledore's voice came
"Of course, come in, come in" Hagrid gestured the guest inside
"That's dad's boss!!" Ron whispered "Cornelius Fudge, Minister Of Magic" Ron continued when he saw him entering the room.
"Bad business, Hagrid, very bad business. Had to come. Three attacks on Muggle-borns. Things have gone far enough. The Ministry's got to act" Fudge explained
"But I never..you know I never, professor." Hagrid said pleadingly
"I want it understood, Cornelius...that Hagrid...has my full confidence" Dumbledore said sternly
"Albus, look, Hagrid's record is against him.. I've got to take him" Fudge replied
"Take me??? Take me where?? Not Azkaban prison!" Hagrid said in disbelief. Harry and Ron looked at each other standing behind Y/n.
"I'm afraid we have no choice, Hagrid" Fudge said looking down. There was a knock on the door. It was none other than Lucius Malfoy.
"Already here, Fudge? Good" Malfoy said
"What are you doing here? Get out of my house!!" Hagrid said angrily
"Believe me..." Malfoy walked towards the corner where Harry, Y/n and Ron were standing making them stepped back "I take absolutely no pleasure being inside your..." Malfoy made a disgust face "You call this a house?"
"No.. I simply called up the school and was told the Headmaster was here" Malfoy turned to Dumbledore
"well, what exactly is it that you want with me?" Dumbledore asked
"The other Governors and I have decided its time for you to step aside" Malfoy said. Dumbledore raised an eyebrow at him "This is an order of suspension" Malfoy said walking towards Dumbledore with a parchment roll in his hands. Fudge tried to grab it but Dumbledore stopped it.
"You'll find all 12 signatures on it" Malfoy said and when Dumbledore was about to take the roll a voice stopped him. Say a familiar voice stopped him.
"Its 11 signatures, my poor rotten friend!!" Said a person outside the door. Y/n swore that the voice was really familiar. The person walked inside and Y/n gasped
"What is he doing here---" Y/n gasped making Harry and Ron cover her mouth. It was none other than Eric Kim
"My dear Malfoy.. Did you forgot I never agreed to this decision.." Eric grinned and Lucius started at him
"Just one disagreement won't change anything" Malfoy said glaring at Eric who smiled at him innocently.
"I'm afraid it certainly will... My regards to you, Professor" Eric bowed to Dumbledore, he smiled and bowed back.
"Continuing.. We are afraid we feel you've rather lost your touch" Malfoy said making both Eric and Dumbledore stared at him with expression that said 'really?'
"Well, what, with all these attacks.. there'll be no Muggle-borns left at Hogwarts... I can only imagine what an awful loss that would be to the school" Malfoy said hiding his smile
"You can't take Professor Dumbledore away...Take him away and the Muggle-borns won't stand a chance. You mark my words, there'll be killings next!!" Hagrid said angrily
"You think so?" Malfoy said to Hagrid
"Now, Now, Hagrid.." Eric Patted Hagrid "That's what I'm here for... I was sent to inspect the school just to be sure that the only person who can stop these attacks is safe" Eric said glancing at Malfoy
"No one can take him out of the school until I give them approval for it.... call it the authority of being An Auror" Eric winked. Y/n smirked. She was proud of Eric
"I appreciate your kindness, Eric.. But, If most of the Governors desire my removal, I will of course, step aside" Dumbledore stated.
"But Professor---" Eric was about to disagree but Dumbledore cut him off
"However, you will find that help will always be given at Hogwarts.. to those who.." Dumbledore stopped to stare at the 2nd years dead in their eyes. "ask for it". Harry, Y/n and Ron raised their eyebrows knowing that Dumbledore might be aware of them.
Malfoy turned back to see where Dumbledore was staring but couldn't see anything, so he looked back at front and said " Admirable Sentiment.. Shall we?"
"Are you all really telling me that I came here nothing?" Eric said staring at all the persons he could see
"Do you even do anything?" Malfoy said grimily making Eric smirk
"Of course I do work.. I'm certainly honored that you out of all people worry about my well-fare" Eric said making a fake touched face. Malfoy started at him with disbelief.
"I might as well meet Y/n and Jake..if I have your permission, Professor?" Eric looked at Dumbledore.
Y/n panicked because she knew if Eric went to meet her. he obviously won't find her. And if he finds that Y/n was here all the time, well...she'll be screwed.
"Why would you want to meet them??? They're going to go home very soon" Malfoy said raising his eyebrow
"Well, you see Malfoy, I taught my kids to be a nice friend.. and they are doing it very nicely.. They are so immersed in it that none of them comes to visit me on Christmas Holidays!!." Eric smiled.
"I'll allow it, Eric.. but I suppose a cup of tea won't be bad before going?" Dumbledore said while looking at Malfoy, He signed Because he knew he couldn't do anything about it.
"Do you think They'll be awake at this time?" Malfoy asked Eric
"Its hard to tell about Jake, But I'm pretty sure Y/n will be up..After all, I gave her a reason to be" Eric replied smiling. Y/n understood right away what Eric was talking about. He knew Y/n was going to use The Infinity Book card for Manga. He knew She'll be up late reading those till mid-night. He knew her weakness very well.
Malfoy left the house with Eric and Dumbledore behind him.
"Come, Hagrid.. well???" Fudge said waiting for Hagrid
"If, uh.... If anybody was looking for some stuff.. then all they've have to do, would be to follow the spiders.. Yep.. that would lead them right. That's all I have to say" Hagrid said looking front and started to walk "Oh and someone will need to feed Fang while I'm away" Hagrid said walking out. Fudge was confused but followed him.
Harry and Ron, flipped the cloak off again when the door closed
"Hagrid's right. With Dumbledore gone, There'll be an attack a day" Ron said worriedly. But Harry was focused somewhere else.
"Look" Harry walked near the window and they saw spiders running away from the small hole of window "come on.." Hagrid said grabbing a lamp. "Come on Fang!" Harry walked out with Ron while Y/n stood there for a second and then grabbed the cloak from the floor before walking out.
Three of them walked out of the house and stepped near the window to find the spiders were running to the Dark Forest.
"Come on!" Harry said
"What?" Ron cried
"You heard what Hagrid said!! 'Follow the spiders' " Harry told them.
"They're heading to the Dark Forest!!" Ron said looking at the pitch black forest.
"You guys go ahead" Y/n said making the boys turn towards her
"what?" Harry and Ron said in unison
"Uncle's here!!! He said he wanted to meet me... I have to go before he finds I'm out here!" Y/n said looking at the castle
"But, It's late..I don't think he'll want to disturb you" Harry said to her
"Dumbledore knew we were here...that's why he took Uncle for tea so I could go back and reach the Common Room before he does!" Y/n said in urge
"But..he gave you permission to make trouble...I don't think he'll mind you out of the bed." Ron said wanting Y/n to say with them.
"Ron, try to understand!! If Uncle wants to meet me at this time , he definitely has something to tell me.. You go ahead there... I'll tell you if I find something from him" Y/n said and started to walk away
"How will you go?" Harry asked
"I'll manage" Y/n said and walked away from them leaving the boys alone, where she should had been for them. But she needed to see Eric too.
Call it luck, Y/n was able to get inside the castle without getting caught. She felt accomplished because she made her way without The Invisibility Cloak. She walked towards the Gryffindor Common Room.
"Pig Snout" Y/n said the password. The Fat lady stepped aside making the door open.
"Where were you?" The Fat Lady asked Y/n
"Bathroom" Y/n replied and walked straight inside without any word.
To Y/n's relief, Eric wasn't here yet. She plopped herself on the couch and waited for him. Soon she saw Haru coming downstairs with a letter in his beak.
"Haru?" Y/n whispered and let the bird sit in front of her. She pulled out the letter and opened it.
"Dear Y/n,
I'm here at Hogwarts, currently having tea with Professor Dumbledore. Since I came here for work which didn't turn out the way I thought it will be. I think seeing you and Jake might cheer me up.
Come downstairs at your Common Room as soon as you get this letter. I got your password from Dumbledore, so I'll be able to get inside.
Wait for me.

Y/n closed the letter when she finished reading it. She silently prayed that Harry and Ron don't barge in when she's with Eric because it will be huge mess. After waiting for few minutes, Y/n heard the Door open. she stood up and Saw Eric entering. When Eric saw her, he rushed and hugged Y/n. She was caught off-guard but she hugged him back.
"You don't know much I missed you" Eric said hugging Y/n tightly
"I think I do know....I could see that by the way you're crushing my bones" Y/n replied to him. Eric broke the hug but kept his hands and Y/n's shoulder while kneeling down to maintain eye contact with her.
"Sarcastic as always" Eric smiled and Y/n grinned back.
"These days have been so exhausting.. having you and Jake around made me regain my energy.. I just noticed that." Eric said while walking towards a couch and sitting on it
"How's everyone at home. Is toothless okay?" Y/n asked Eric while sitting next to him.
"Yes.. Debbie and Dabon are good. Both of them miss you..but mostly Toothless.. He eagerly waits at the door when someone enters the house, thinking its you" Eric told Y/n
"That's so cute of him...I'm sure Pearl's being a good girl she is for this matter" Y/n said smiling
"You're about that, she misses Jake but doesn't really shows it... Maybe she's the mature one between those two" Eric said raising his eyebrows
"She definitely is!! Toothless is more of a trouble-maker" Y/n said chuckling
"Well... like owner, like pet" Eric shrugged and signed. Y/n noticed the aura around him change.
"You know everything about our world... right?" Eric asked suddenly. Y/n nodded
"Did Hagrid do it??? I mean.. all of these attacks...Is he behind all this?" Eric asked Y/n in somewhat curious tone.
'Should I tell him??? or not??? I was sure he knew Hagrid's a good person but this aura..feels different than his usual self.' Y/n thought and stayed quiet for a second before replying
"No.... Hagrid's being framed for this....He's innocent" When Y/n finished. Eric face-palmed with both of his hand by resting his elbows on his knees and soon his face covered a satisfactory grin. Y/n couldn't read what Eric was thinking.
"thank god" Eric signed
"Eh?" Y/n asked confused
"I was worried about him.... I couldn't believe that people actually think Hagrid did all this...I mean, how could he??? He's one of the most innocent person I've met" Eric told Y/n
"Now that I know he's innocent...I'll try my best to defend him" Eric said patting Y/n's head "Well..would mind telling me why is mood down?" Eric asked making Y/n look at him with Shock
"I thought I was acting like my usual self" Y/n's jaw dropped
"You were...but you can't fool me.. I have quite experience about it...what's wrong" Eric asked again and Y/n looked down
"Hermione.....she... she got petrified" Y/n replied in low tone.
"Did you know she will be?" Eric asked and Y/n nodded. "Let me guess....You think you could've stopped it if you tried harder?" Eric said making Y/n look up to him the second he finished. Eric signed and took both of Y/n's hand into his.
"Look.... This feeling... is normal.. If this happened, that means it was bound to happen.. you can never change what's already written.. well...not yet... because you still need time to accept that not everything will go by the way you wish it to be... You need to work hard for that to happen" Eric said caressing Y/n's hands with his thumb and Y/n nodded understanding what he meant.
"By the way....I heard you got multiple love letters" Eric smirked and Y/n blushed in embarrassment.
"It wasn't that much" Y/n looked down embarrassedly
" It Wasn't that much?" A voice came from the stairs. Eric and Y/n turned to find Jake leaning against the wall. "Is 87 not much for you?" Jake raised his eye brow
"87????" Eric looked at Y/n being impressed "I'm not gonna lie...but I would be a little disappointed if you got less than 50..but seems like you're more popular that that" Eric patted Y/n's head proudly.
"That's not what I wanted you to say!!!" Jake said disapprovingly walking towards his family.
"Well.... What was I suppose to say????" Eric said standing up and hugging Jake who hugged back.
"What brought you here??" Jake asked while sitting down
"Work....and not telling you about it yet" Eric said sitting down as well. "Honey, what did your admirers wrote to you?" Eric asked very curiously
"Oh.. it was so good that I couldn't stop smiling. People here are so nice. All of them said that they just wanted to me to know that they admired me...nothing more" Y/n smiled thinking about the letters. "But.. This person here.." Y/n pointed at Jake " Ruined the whole mood by saying he'll murder them" Y/n said making Eric burst in laughter. She laughed along with him letting Jake glare at both of them.
"Why would you??" Eric said when he stopped laughing
"Jake, Admiring someone is not a crime.... doing something to them with bad intention is." Eric explained to Jake.
"Its okay if people confess they're feelings to you.. it took them a lot of bravery to do that.. Plus, the ones who send her letters are student under supervision, so its fine.. they won't get to do anything else than that" Eric said winking at Jake who smiled. Y/n found something very strange about the last sentence, it was more likely that Eric was on Jake's side for this.
Three of them talked for a while but then an owl came asking Eric to come back. He hugged his kids very tightly before going. Y/n successfully convinced Jake that she wasn't sleepy yet and wanted to stay in the Common Room.
Y/n waited alone for her friends who were maybe in danger, but she knew they'll make it out. Just then, the door swung open revealing Harry and Jake. They both walked towards Y/n, huffing. Y/n assumed both of them ran their way here.
"Y/n.... Hagrid.. he didn't do anything... He's innocent" Harry managed to say while trying to calm his breath
"I know" Y/n said making both boys look at her.
"What???" Harry and Ron said together.
"Uncle told me. He was finding all these clues and all to make defense for Hagrid.. It's most likely to be framed for something he didn't do." Y/n said lying with a straight face.
'I don't know about 'changing future'.. but I sure became a pro for lying' Y/n thought guiltily.
Later that night, Harry told Y/n all about Aragog. Y/n also told them few things she could. and then, three of them went to sleep, definitely tired from sneaking out. Y/n washed her face and changed into her night-dress. She laid on her warm bed and unconsciously turned to Hermione's bed, finding it empty. She stared at the empty bed for a while and turned to other side. She closed her eyes waiting for the sleep to drown her. She obviously didn't knew what she was going to hear.
The cries of those who've been petrified never let Y/n sleep peacefully. but now, it was empty. Nothing but silence. Y/n was sure confused at the sudden quietness. She couldn't understand what was happening, why was it happening. But then, she heard it. Y/n didn't even knew that she wanted to hear this voice so badly.
"Y/n..." Hermione's voice ran through Y/n mind
"Y/n... I don't know if you can hear me or not but.... I want to say I'm sorry... I'm so sorry.. I should had listened to you, but I didn't... " Hermione's voice broke a little.
"if you go to meet my petrified body, please do check my hands. you'll know everything when you will see it. If it was just Harry and Ron, I would be worried, but they still have you.. I know you'll everything normal, That you'll keep them safe." Hermione's voice said in comforting tone
"But Y/n..... please take care of yourself... I saw it...what was doing all this... it was terrifying.. so take care of yourself and others. I know you can do it.. Its you after all. " Hermione's voice started to fade.
Y/n woke up, gasping for air. She felt her few drops of tears dripping from her eyes. She looked out the window. It wasn't dark but gleam light. She looked at the alarm clock to find that its still '6:15'. Y/n wasn't in mood to sleep again. She grabbed her uniform and went to bathroom. After finishing, She took her books and left the dormitories. The Common Room was empty.
Y/n straight walked towards The Great Hall. She bowed down to the people in frame as she passed them. While walking she saw Filch cleaning the floor.
"G'Morning Mr. Filch" Y/n greeted as she passed him. Filch made a huff-noise but didn't tell her anything for walking on the floor he just wiped. When she sat on Gryffindor table. A fair amount of food with orange juice appeared in front of her. She ate her breakfast peacefully. When she was almost done, other students along with some Professors came as well. Y/n had a lot time to pass, So she opened her "Naruto Volume : 15'Â and started reading the last chapter she couldn't finish. While she was reading that, Harry and Ron came and ate their breakfasts. When they were done, Y/n closed her Manga and three of them went to their classes.
Y/n didn't pay much attention to the classes. She was thinking about Hermione. Somehow, the day ended. Harry, Ron and Y/n went to visit Hermione ,with flowers. When Y/n saw Hermione, a sense of guilt rushed through her, she tried to push it the feeling remembering Eric's words. Three of them sat near her and Harry changed the flowers to fresh ones.
"Wish you were here, Hermione. We need you........ now more than ever" Harry said.
Both Harry and Ron were caught off-guard by a certain sob near them. They saw Y/n cover her face with her hands as she continued to let out sobs. Harry quickly patted her back and Ron sat next to her.
"Its all my fault!!!!! This would've never happen, if I tried harder!!!" Y/n said through her cries.
"No.. How is it your fault?? We couldn't do anything.. it was just bad timing.. Its not your fault" Harry said trying to comfort her.
"Yeah, if Hermione was here, she would've said the same thing" Ron patted Y/n's back
"But She isn't here!!!!!! Its my fault for hiding all these!!! If I had told everything earlier than none of these would've happened. No one had to be petrified. Whatever happened here...is my fault!!" Y/n said looking up at her friends.
Harry and Ron felt a stunned feeling when they saw her face. It was heart-breaking. Y/n's eyes all teary and red like they were hiding these tears for so long. They could feel what she was feeling by her low cries. Harry gulped thinking what he should do, but then he remembered the promise he made to Jake.
Harry grabbed Y/n by her face and made her face him while also squishing her cheeks with both of his hands. "Its not your fault.. It never was.... None of these are your fault.. So stop pointing at yourself.. If it wasn't for you.. I would've been dead already!!!" Harry told her. Y/n remembered what he was talking about.
Last year, At the Trap door. Voldemort's attack on Harry was more powerful than it was shown in the series. Y/n stepped in front of Harry ,taking the huge amount of pain that could've killed her if Harry didn't put the Philosopher's stone before she lost consciousness.
"You remember, right? You have done more for us than you imagine" Ron said in very comforting voice.
Both of them let Y/n cry all her feelings out and soon Y/n stopped. She pulled out her magical handkerchief and cleaned her face by tapping the cloth on her cheek. Y/n looked at her best friends, both of them were smiling at her but she knew they had questions.
"You can ask your questions... I'm all okay now" Y/n said putting her handkerchief on her pocket.
"What did you mean.. you knew?" Harry asked
"You know the voices we heard.. that's not all that I heard. I could hear those who were petrified. their cries and everything.... I even heard the ones who were going to be petrified.. before they were... Hermione knew about this" Y/n told them
"That means, you knew who was going to be petrified??" Ron asked and soon realized that the tone will make Y/n feel guilt again. "So that's why you were stopping Hermione from going to Library?? You didn't want her to be alone.. " Ron said quickly changing his tone
"See??? you did tried to stop it.. so don't say its your fault.. ..and did you hear others after as well?" Harry asked
"Yes.. in my sleep.. I could hear them crying that they were alone. I couldn't communicate to them, so I wasn't able to tell them that I was there listening to them and last night... Hermione's voice came as well" Y/n told them
"What did she say?" Both Harry and Ron asked
"I think she found out... she told me to look at her hands... this one" Y/n said grabbing Hermione's hand and pulling out a paper from it. Harry and Ron stared at the paper.
"This is probably why Hermione was in Library the day she was attacked. Come on!!" Harry said and they left the hospital wing
"You know... I have been hiding too much for months, but finally saying the truth somehow feels nice!!" Y/n said in very cheerful tone.
"Good for you!!" Ron said happily.
" 'Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the Basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years . Instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye. Spiders flee before it'.. This is it!! The monster in The Chamber of Secrets is Basilisks.. That's why we can hear it speak. Its a snake" Harry said looking at Y/n.
"But if it kills by looking people in the eye, why is it no one's dead?" Ron asked his friends
"Because no one did look it in the eye.. Not directly, at least" Y/n told them.
"That's right!! Collin saw it through his camera. Justin... Justin must have seen the Basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick. Nick got full blast of it. But he's a ghost, he couldn't die die again." Harry said
"And Hermione had the mirror. I bet you anything she was using it to look around corners in case it came along." Y/n said while walking with the both of them.
"And Mrs. Norris??? I'm pretty sure she didn't have a camera or her mirror" Harry said thinking
"The water" Ron whispered. "There was water on the floor that night. That's means she only saw the basilisk's reflection." Ron told the other two.
Harry walked towards a lamp to continue reading. " 'spiders flee before it'. It all fits!"
"But how's a basilisk's been getting around?? A dirty great snake. someone would've seen it" Ron asked
"Hermione answered that too" Y/n said looking at the paper. The both boys did too.
Hermione had wrote 'Pipes' on the bottom of the book.
"Pipes?? It using the plumbing!" Ron said in shocked tone
"Remember what Aragog said about that girl 50 years ago?" Harry asked
"She died in a bathroom... What if she never left?" Y/n said to boys making them catch up with her really soon.
"Moaning Myrtle" The boys whispered.
"All students are to return to their house dormitories at once. All teachers to the second-floor corridor immediately" Professor McGonagall's voice came. All three of them rushed there instead of the dorm.
"As you can see, The Heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized." Harry, Y/n and Ron heard as they reached the corridor.
"A student has been taken by the monster into the Chamber itself.. The students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts." McGonagall said.
Harry looked back at his friends, then turned to look at the person who just arrived.
"So sorry. Dozed off. What have I missed?" Lockhart said not noticing the tension around the corridor.
"A girl has been snatched by the Monster, Lockhart. Your moment has come at last." Snape said sternly.
"My M-moment?" Lockhart's expression changed.
"Weren't you saying just last night.. that you've known all along where the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is?" Snape said mockingly
"That's settled. we'll leave you to deal with the monster, Gilderoy. Your skills, after all, are legend." McGongagall said with the same tone.
"Very well...I'll just be in my office...getting......getting ready" Lockhart said hurrying away.
"Who is it that the monster's taken, Minerva?" Madam Pomfrey asked
"Ginny Weasley" McGonagall replied.
Y/n felt Ron's stunned body behind her. She grabbed his hand, trying to comfort him. They watched watched the teachers walk away, that revealed the message on the wall.
"Her Skeleton will lie in the Chamber forever" Ron read aloud.
"Did you know?" Harry asked Y/n
"No..." Y/n shook her head.
"Ginny" Ron whispered.
They hurried towards the Defense Against The Dark Arts Class. Y/n didn't really want but she had to do it.
"Lockhart maybe useless, but he's going to try and get into the Chamber..At least we can tell him what we know" Harry said while running towards the office above.
"I highly doubt that" Y/n said opening the door.
"Professor, we have some information for you!!" Harry said and soon saw that Lockhart was packing his belongings.
"Are you going somewhere??" Harry asked
"uh.. well, yes, Urgent Call, Unavoidable, got to go" Lockhart replied.
"What about my sister?" Ron asked loudly
"well, um.. As to that, most unfortunate. No one regrets more than I do" Lockhart replied while packing his stuff.
"Your're the Defense Against The Dark Arts Teacher. You can't go now!" Ron said blocking the door.
"I must say, when I got the job, there was nothing in the job description" Lockhart replied and grabbed his bag trying to run. But Harry blocked him.
"You're running away? After all that stuff you did in your books?" Harry asked in both surprise and shock.
"Books can be misreading!" Lockhart said
"You wrote them!" Y/n said in most savage way.
"My dear children! do you use your common sense??? My books wouldn't have sold half as well if people didn't think I'd done those things" Lockhart explained
"You're a fraud!!! You've just been taking credit for what other wizards have done!" Harry said looking at Lockhart with disgust
"Is there anything you can do?" Ron asked Lockhart
"Yes, now you mention it. I'm rather gifted with Memory Charms. Otherwise, all those wizards would've gone blabbing. And I'd never sold another book. In fact, Uh.. I'm.. going to have to do the same to you." Lockhart completed by pointed his wand out. But He soon found that his students had already pointed their wands at him.
"Don't even think about it" Y/n said sternly.
Lockhart caught the glimpse of the violet lightning-shaped spark in Y/n's eyes. She glared at him with those eyes. Lockhart surrendered right away. Three of them, led Lockhart to the un-used girl's bathroom they were using few months ago. They were welcomed by Myrtle's sobs.
"Who's there?" Myrtle asked but saw the familiar faces. "oh.. Hello, Harry." Myrtle blushed "What do you want?"
"To ask you how you died" Harry asked
"Oh!!! It was dreadful. It happened right here in this very cubicle" Myrtle pointed down the cubicle she was flying above. "I'd hidden because Olive Hornby was teasing me about my glasses. I was crying. and then, I heard somebody come in." Myrtle continued
"Who was it, Myrtle?" Y/n asked very carefully
"I don't know! I was distraught!" Myrtle sobbed. "But they said something funny, a kind of made-up language and I realized it was a boy. So I unlocked the door to tell him to 'go away' and...I died" Myrtle completed
"Just like that? How?" Harry asked making Y/n smack his arm because of his tone.
"I just remembered seeing a pair of great, big, yellow eyes...over there by that sink" Myrtle pointed at the sink as she flew away.
Harry walked over to sink. Y/n stayed behind him while Ron kept his wand pointed at Lockhart. Harry touched the engraved parts of the sink. And then He opened the tap with nothing coming out of it. But Then he saw that. A snake engraved in it.
"This is it. I think this is the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets" Harry said walking back.
"Say something. Harry. say something in Parcel tongue " Y/n told him.
Harry took a deep breathe and said 'open' in the language, currently only Y/n could understand.
Next second, The sink begun to move, its top flew upwards. The sinks started splitting and the one with Snake engraved in it, sunk down and a new tile was above it. The place was enough for one person to slip.
"Excellent, Harry. Good work. well then. I'll just be.. there's no need for me to stay!" Lockhart tried to make run for it but failed right away.
"Yes there is!" Harry said pushing Lockhart to the Entrance.
"You first" Harry said pointed his wand.
"Now, you three.. what good will it do?" Lockhart said hanging between the sinks that was giving him support to stand.
"Better you than us" Ron stated.
"But, Obviously Yes" Lockhart replied and turned to the entrance watching hole deep the cliff was.
"Sure you don't want to test it first?" Lockhart turned back trying to persuade the kids, But Ron pushed him instead of replying. Lockhart's scream were getting fader and fader until a huge 'thud' sound came.
"Its really quite Filthy down here" Lockhart's voice came.
"Alright let's go" Harry said to his friends.
"Oh, Harry?" They heard Myrtle.
"If you die down there, you're welcome to share my toilet" Myrtle giggled.
"Thanks, Myrtle" Harry nodded at her.
"And..you too, Y/n" Myrtle suddenly said making Y/n surprise.
"huh??? why me?" Y/n asked
"You're probably the only girl who was nice to me until now.. I'll be more than happy to share my toilet with you" Myrtle said to Y/n.
"Thank you very much, Myrtle" Y/n Smiled warmly.

I think you already figured out that the next chapter will be the last for 'Chamber of Secrets'.
I'm actually a little excited for the last chapter. I mean, alot of things will make sense after reading it.
I know, I wrote a very big chapter. I wasn't planning on it, but it just turned out this way.
