Chapter 30 - The Heir of Slytherin

3rd Person's POV

Harry, Ron and Y/n jumped down the gateway. It was more like a slide, so Y/n personally enjoyed it. Three of them were screaming from the top of their lungs. Within few seconds they dropped on the ground full with small animal bones.

Harry, Y/n and Ron stood up right away and pointed their wands at Lockhart. Ron grunted looking down at the bones.

"Now remember.. Any sign of moment, close your eyes straightaway" Y/n told them.

Harry climbed up the pipe and helped Y/n to get up as well. Both of them walked in front with Lockhart and Ron behind them. The directions weren't really hard to find, it was more of straight lines. Four of them walked on the uneven surface, which looked like a cave. There they saw a huge snake-like figure. Harry walked further to examine it. Y/n kept walking close to him and followed him.

"What's this?" Ron asked when he could finally look.

"It looks like a.....snake" Lockhart said standing beside Ron

"Its a snake-skin" Y/n replied touching the head of snake, which she probably shouldn't.

"Bloody hell!!!..Whatever shed this must be 60 feet long....or more!" Ron exclaimed and there was a thud. Harry and Y/n looked over to see what happened. Y/n huffed annoyedly, while Harry and Ron were judging Lockhart's body.

"Heart of a Lion, This one" Ron snickered.

Suddenly, Lockhart grabbed Ron's wand and stood up pointing his wand at his students. Harry pointed his wand back. Y/n thought of doing that as well, but stayed still instead.

"The adventure ends here, children....But don't fret...The world will know our story. How I was too late to save the girl. How you three tragically lost your minds.. at the sight of her mangled body. So, Ladies first, Ms. Kim" Lockhart pointed the wand at Y/n while smirking. Y/n raised her eyebrows at Lockhart's audacity.

"Say goodbye to your memories..... Obliviate!!!!!" Lockhart yelled. But instead of Y/n, his spell backfired at him. His body slammed at the wall of the cave.

But then, the cave started to vibrate and move vigorously. And in few seconds, the rocks from the top started to drop. Y/n grabbed Harry's hand and dragged away from the danger line. But both of them tripped and fell on the ground. Harry quickly covered Y/n with his arms. So she couldn't get hurt.

Soon, the rocks stopped and there was a silence. Harry and Y/n got up and saw the rocks now made a huge wall between them and the exit. Harry climbed the rocks, so he could see Ron.

"Harry!!! Y/n!!!!!" Ron's voice came over from the other side

"Ron! Ron! Are you okay??" Harry asked yelling so Ron could hear him.

"I'm fine!!!" Ron yelled back. There was a groan after he completed

"Hello....Who are you?" Lockhart's voice came

"Um... Ron Weasley" Ron replied

"Really???And... Who am I?" Lockhart questioned again

"Lockhart's Memory charm backfired. He hasn't got a clue who he is" Ron's voice came

"MUCH BETTER!!!" Y/n yelled

"Its an odd sort of place, isn't it??????Do you live here?" Lockhart chuckled asking Ron

"No" Ron denied

"Really?-" There was huge thud heard from the other side which Y/n remembered that Ron knocked out Lockhart with a rock.

"What do I do now?" Ron asked yelling so his friends could hear him.

"You wait here and try and shift some of this rock so we can get back through. Y/n and I'll go on and find Ginny" Harry replied yelling and begun to walk towards Y/n.

"okay take care of yourself, you two" Ron said in worried tone

"Sure Ron.. and Don't worry, We'll get Ginny back no matter what" Y/n said. Harry reached her and both of them started to walk.

After few minutes, they a huge circle door with 7 snakes on it. They walked forward towards it.

"try to say something in parceltongue" Y/n said pushing Harry forward.

"open" Harry said with a low hiss. but nothing happened. Both of them stayed in their place silently waiting for something to happen, but nothing did

"Why isn't it opening?" Y/m asked herself

"Maybe you try it" Harry turned to her

"What???? Why?" Y/n asked

"Because you're a parcel mouth too" Harry stated the obvious

"But I don't know about that.. I  just understand it...I've never tried to speak it" Y/n ranted

"You won't find out until you try...come on" Harry said positioning Y/n in front of the door.

Y/n closed her eyes and took a deep breath and said "Please open up and let us in" with a strange hiss.

She opened her eyes when she heard the door crack open. Both of them walked inside and found a small steel ladder. Harry let Y/n go first since she was wearing skirt. Y/n climbed down and stepped on the wet slippery floor. It was slippery enough to make you trip if you didn't have good balance.

When climbed down as well, both of them look around the chamber. there were 8 snake heads on both left and right side of walls. In between The Salazar Slytherin's statue was facing the door. Right there they saw Ginny lying on the cold floor.

"Ginny!" Harry muttered and ran towards Ginny with Y/n following her. While running Y/n looked around to see if certain someone was here not.

'Just as expected...he's not here yet..but I feel kinda  proud of myself for not falling on this hella slippery floor----DON"T THINK OF THAT NOW!' Y/n shook her head and stopped when she reached  Ginny. Harry sat on the floor checking if Ginny was okay, leaving his wand on the ground.

"Ginny! Ginny, please don't be dead. Wake up! wake up! please wake up" Harry desperately  called her.

Y/n felt a 'ting' bell in her mind and From the corner of her eye, she saw someone's faint figure appear. Even if she knew who it was, he sense still told her to be on guard.

"She won't wake"

Harry looked where the voice came from and was surprised. The older boy stepped into the light so the younger ones could see him. Y/n couldn't help but to stare at him.

"Tom? Tom Riddle? What do you mean she won't wake?? She's not---" Harry got cut off but Riddle himself.

"She's still alive, but only just" Riddle replied while walking towards them. While Y/n still shamelessly stared at him .

"Are you a ghost?" Harry asked

"A memory.. preserved in a diary for 50 years" Riddle replied while glancing at Y/n. Instead of looking away, Y/n squinted her eyes while looking at Riddle.

'I knew how he was going to look in both the movies and book....but this is different.....He's somehow --uh--what's the word----- Hotter?'

Harry broke Y/n's unnecessary thoughts and said "She's cold as ice. Ginny please don't be dead. Wake up!"

Harry didn't noticed Riddle pick his wand from the ground. Y/n did, she walked closer to Harry and hid her wand in her robes before Riddle notices.

"You've got to help me Tom, There's a basilisk--" Harry got cut off again

"It won't come until its called" Riddle said. Noticing Riddle's strange answer, Harry looked up and saw his wand in Riddle's possession. He stood and extended his arm.

"Give me my wand, Tom" Harry ordered politely

"You won't be needing it" Riddle replied while the twirling Harry's wand between his long fingers.

'huh....that's quite a size for fingers....its larger than mine' Y/n absently thought, forgetting that she isn't just watching the scene, but the fact was in it.

"Listen, we've got to go. We've got to save her!!" Harry said urgently breaking Y/n's thoughts again.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, as poor Ginny grows weaker I grow stronger" Riddle said in very cold voice. Y/n quickly looked at Ginny trying to remember how he manipulated her, to get her senses back. Harry realized what Riddle meant and was about to say something but Riddle cut him off.

"Yes, Harry. It was Ginny Weasley who opened the Chamber of Secrets." Riddle said coldly.

"No, she couldn't, she wouldn't" Harry denied not believing it. Ginny was a innocent little girl. His best friend's sister. She couldn't do it at all.

"It was Ginny who set the basilisk on the Mudbloods and Filch's cat. Ginny who wrote the threatening messages on the wall." Riddle told the Gryffindors

"But why?" Harry questioned

"Isn't it obvious?????? He made poor Ginny do all that terrible stuff for him" Y/n said in the most cold tone she ever used yet. Harry instantly noticed Y/n's sudden change in behaviour. The aura around her felt more confident and stronger......with little touch of rage.

Instead of getting mad, Riddle looked at Y/n with impressed face and said "as expected from you, Dear Ms. Kim....you see, you'll find I can be very persuasive. Not that she knew what she was doing. She was.... shall we say, in kind of trance. Still the power of the diary begun to scare her. she tried to dispose of it in the girl's bathroom and then who should find it but you??"

"The very person I was most anxious to meet...and how could I forget about you, Ms. Kim?" Riddle turned to Y/n with a smirk on his face. It made Y/n shift in her place.

"And why did you want to meet me?" Harry asked in with anger running in his tone.

"I knew I had to talk to you, meet you if I could. So I decided to show you my capture of that brainless oaf Hagrid .. to gain your trust." Riddle said while walking between Y/n and Harry.

"Hagrid's our friend!!!" Harry said angrily "And you framed him, didn't you?"

"It was my word against Hagrid's. Well you can sure imagine how it looked to old Armando Dippet. On the one hand, Tom Riddle, poor but brilliant, parentless but so brave, school prefect and a model student. And on the other hand, big, blundering Hagrid, in trouble every week, tring to raise werewolf under his bed. sneaking off to the Forbidden Forest to wrestle trolls." Riddle chuckled and continued

"But I sure was surprised at how perfectly the plan worked. But someone must've realise that it didn't really fit. Only Dumbledore seemed to think he was innocent"

"I bet Dumbledore saw right through you" Y/n said in very sarcastic tone while smirking, her words made Harry smirk as well.

"He certainly kept an annoyingly close watch on me after that. I knew it wouldn't be safe to open The Chamber again while I was still at school, so I decided to leave behind a diary preserving my old 16-year-old self in its pages, so one day. I would be able to lead another to finish Salazar Slytherin's noble work!" Riddle said in his own proud tone.

'Why am I just realizing that Riddle's quite self-centered???' Y/n thought and Harry's voice broke her thoughts for the third time.

"Well, you haven't finished it this time! In a few hours, the Mandrake Draught will be ready. And everyone who was petrified will be alright again." Harry replied

"Haven't I told you? Killing Mudbloods doesn't matter to me anymore. For many months now, my new target has been you" Riddle glared at Harry.

'Thank God, he didn't say my name this time'

"How it is that a baby with no extraordinary magical talent was able to defeat the greatest wizard of all time? How did you escape with nothing but a scar while Lord Voldemort's powers were destroyed?!" Riddle said with an odd angered eyes now.

"Why do you care how I escaped? Voldemort was after your time" Harry said getting confused why was Riddle so worked up about Voldemort.

"Voldemort is past, present and future" Riddle said softly and pointed Harry's wand in the air and begun to trace in red glowing light.

'TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE'

Then, he waved the wand once and the letters of his name begun to shift. which said

'I AM LORD VOLDEMORT '

Harry blood ran cold. the man who wanted Harry dead was right in front of him again. But instead of fear, Harry felt little brave and said

"You. You're the Heir of Slytherin...... You're Voldemort" Harry said in low tone.

"Surely you didn't think.. I was going to keep my filthy Muggle father's name? No. I fashioned myself a new name, a name I knew wizards everywhere would one day fear to speak when I became the greatest sorcerer in the world.!!" Riddle exclaimed

"Albus Dumbledore is the greatest sorcerer in the world!!!" Harry snapped.

"Dumbledore's been driven out of this castle by the mere memory of me" Riddle said with voice full of hatred

"He'll never be gone. Not as long as those who remain are loyal to him!!" Harry retorted.

For few moments, both Harry and Riddle glared at each other. Riddle was about to say something but a musical chirp stopped him. Luckily the music made Y/n snap out of reality.

"Fawkes?" Both Harry and Y/n said in unison

Fawkes flew towards the three of them with something in his claws. He dropped it to Harry when he was on top of him. Soon Fawkes flew out of the Chamber.

Y/n noticed that Harry and Riddle were still staring after Fawkes. She mouthed few words to  Harry telling him to open it. When Harry did, he found out that it was nothing but the Sorting Hat.

"So this what Dumbledore sends his great defenders. A song bird and an old hat" Riddle chuckled darkly and walked away from the younger ones.

Harry looked at Y/n with puzzled look. She shook her head telling that it won't be useless. But soon both Harry and Y/n's blood ran cold when they heard.

"Speak to me, Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts four"

Something behind Riddle was cracking. The second years looked behind him and noticed that the Salazar's statue's mouth was opening. Instead of running, both Harry and Y/n kept staring at it

"Let's match the power of Lord Voldemort, Heir of Salazar Slytherin against the famous Harry Potter.... And you might want to come here. Ms. Kim" Riddle smirked in the end

Too busy staring the statue. Y/n didn't hear anything Riddle said but she looked at him when he said her name. Harry was about to hold Y/n's hand so they could run together.

But Riddle waved his wand while muttering something. And in a flash, Y/n flew towards him in swift motion. It was so fast that Y/n couldn't even do something. When she was close to Riddle, he grabbed by her waist and pulled her towards him and turned her around so her back was pressed against his chest. He covered her eyes with his other free hand so she couldn't see anything.

When Y/n finally sorted the moment, she tried to get away from him. but his grip was so tight that he wasn't even budging. This made Y/n realize that Ginny was much weaker now. And she remembered that Harry was still standing there, when he should really run. But Y/n knew he won't since she was in this state, trapped between Riddle's arms. But he needed to.

"Harry!! run!!!! I promise I'll be fine!!!! just run!!!" Y/n yelled while still trying to get out of Riddle's grip, which only made him hold her tighter. Soon Y/n heard footsteps of someone running. She signed but held her breath right away when she heard a faint hiss beside her.

The Basilisk. Was. Right. Beside. Her.

"Leave this girl with me here and Kill the boy"

Y/n swore the words made her heartbeat fast even if she knew Harry will win here. It still was terrifying to hear something like that about a precious friend.

"Stop, don't follow me!"  Y/n recognized Harry's voice right away.

"Parseltongue won't save you now, Potter. It only obeys me." Riddle said behind Y/n.

Y/n could hear the footsteps getting faster and faster. It was good. Harry might over speed The Giant Basilisk. But Just then, there was a thud which Y/n remembered that Harry fell in both movies and in books.

'That Idiot!' Y/n grunted in her thoughts but then heard a musical chirp which made her smile. Riddle noticed this and looked at Basilisk, full alerted.

Y/n could hear the Basilisk screaming in pain. She remembered very well what was happening, yet the shrieks were much more painful.

"NO!!!! Your bird may have blinded the basilisk, but it can still hear you!" Riddle screamed and gripped Y/n tighter in anger. She was still trying to pull away. But she stopped when she heard the screams stop.

Just then, The water was splashing which meant Harry almost out ran The Basilisk. There were sounds of sliding, The basilisk was following Harry. Soon the Chamber turned quite. But Riddle still didn't let Y/n go.

"The Basilisk's gone now....would mind letting me go?" Y/n said moving, trying to get away.

"Oh, I certainly will mind it..... You see, letting you go means Potter will have more of chances of winning here. Which I obviously don't want. And there's one more reason--" Riddle leaned closed to Y/n

"A pretty companion like you won't be bad for the most powerful wizard " Riddle whispered into Y/n's ears in a very deep voice.

"What do you think???? Would you join me and rule the wizarding world?" Y/n could feel Riddle's smirk.

Y/n's weakness for deep voice kicked in the wrong time. She felt her cheeks burn and heartbeats thump loudly. She knew, she looked a tomato just now. For some reason, She couldn't really move even if she wanted to.

Unable to move, Y/n's mind went blank as well. She felt weak. But just then, like a miracle. The face of the person who she cared about the most appeared in her mind. His words echoed.

"you will choose Harry's side, right?" Jake's unsure face glimpsed in front of Y/n

No, She can't give up yet. Not here. Not like this. She promised she'll make sure everyone is safe and she will keep her promise. She promised Jake, she'll be on the good side, No matter what happens.

Y/n secretly grabbed her wand from her robes and gripped it tightly.

"Join you????" Y/n chuckled darkly "Like Hell I would!!!! LUMOS MAXIMA!!!" Y/n yelled with the tip of her wand pointed behind her.

Riddle groaned in pain. She almost blinded him. But because of that, Y/n pushed Riddle off her by elbowing him and finally got out of his hands. Y/n pointed her wand at Riddle, glaring at him.

'No matter how hot he looks...... he's bad guy here and always will be' Y/n reminded herself.

There was a silence between them. But then, there was a sound of faint foot steps. Y/n turned towards a round gate, smiling brightly. If Harry was safe now, he'll win for sure. Riddle noticed Y/n's face glowed when she heard Harry was back. He didn't liked it.

Riddle muttered something. Y/n turned to see what he was on about but suddenly, she fell. She tried to stand up, but couldn't. She looked up at Riddle in disbelief.

"Did you just use a leg-locking curse on me???!!!" Y/n asked Riddle angrily while he picked up her wand.

"Voluntarily or forced, I don't care. But a girl like you will be perfect for my 16 year old self. You No matter what, You'll be by my side And I will make sure it happens." Riddle glared darkly and Harry steps nearer. Y/n turned to see Harry appear from one of the gates. He ran towards her and Ginny beside her. Harry dropped near Y/n and checked Ginny.

"Yes, Potter. The process is nearly complete." Riddle said. Harry touched Ginny's hand to find it very cold. "In a few minutes, Ginny Weasley will be dead, and I will cease to be a memory. Lord Voldemort will return very. much. alive..... with your friend with him" Riddle said and Harry looked at Y/n confusedly to find that she was glaring Riddle with murderous eyes.

Right then. A scream from behind them was heard. The basilisk was back. From the corner of the eye, Y/n saw the shining metal appear in the sorting hat. She tugged Harry's sleeve. When Harry looked at her, he followed her gaze to find the sword. Y/n looked at him to tell him to get it. but Harry already went for it making Y/n feel proud of him.

Harry pulled out the sword out the hat and pointed it at the basilisk. He ran all the way towards the Salazar' statue and begun to climb it. By hearing the water splashes caused by Harry, The Basilisk followed him. The Basilisk raised his head trying to smell Harry.

Harry grabbed the engraved part of Salazar's hair and swung the sword, hoping it would help him somehow. The Basilisk aimed Harry and lunged. Y/n gasped but soon saw that Harry had dodged it this time. Seeing how Harry was struggling, Y/n felt pathetic.

'I feel useless........ Harry and Ginny are fighting for their lives. Ron is making way from his bestfriends and sister. Even Hermione scarified herself so we could end this... what have I done??? I knew what was gonna happen, there isn't a single soul that I saved or helped... If I'm this weak now.... I'm afraid I have to forget about changing these world!!!'

Y/n dropped her head low. Her eyes slowly filling with tears. She felt like a loser. There isn't a single thing she could do now. Her legs were locked tightly together. She let out a sob that no one but her could hear.

Just then, something shined beside her. Y/n felt the tear drop on her cheek and looked at the shimmering light and shook to core to find -

Without thinking twice, she grabbed the bow even though there wasn't any arrows. When she touched the Violet the limbs and grip point turn into glowing Violet.

Y/n didn't knew anything about the archery, but somehow she felt she could do it. She pointed the sight window at the Basilisk. And saw that Harry was right in front of the basilisk. Y/n remembered It was time.

Y/n's deep brown eyes flickered a violet current, glowing with confidence. She pulled the nocking point and a shimmering violet ray glowed between the grip point and string, which surprisingly formed into a violet arrow just like the bow.

With full confidence , Y/n released the arrow. which hit the basilisk right in the nape. It screamed in pain. Just then Harry ,with his full strength swung the sword right into the roof of serpent's mouth.

Harry felt a sharp pain just above his elbow. He pulled out the sword and saw that a long poisonous fang was sinking deeper in his arms. The Basilisk couldn't take the pain from both his mouth and nape. He screamed in pain and soon dropped into the ground with a huge noise.

Harry pulled out the fang and held his arm and made his way back to Y/n. She too was gasping not knowing why. she couldn't remember what happened just few seconds ago. It was like she blacked out for few moments.

But then, Y/n felt something in her hand. She looked to find a gorgeous Bow in her hand. Within seconds she had a flashback of what happened just now. She looked at the basilisk to find it lying almost lifeless.  Just then Harry dropped near her. Y/n crawled a little closer to him and cupped his face.

"Don't give up yet, Harry.. You need to stay focused on keeping your eyes open, okay?? keep your eyes open, look at me" Y/n whispered concernedly watching that Harry was about to pass out.

"Remarkable isn't it???how quickly the venom of basilisk penetrates the body. I'd guess you have little more than a minute to live. You'll be with your Mudblood mother soon, Harry. And your friend will have no choice but to join me" Riddle said with satisfied expression.

Harry glanced at Y/n and then turned to Ginny grabbing her hand to find it ice cold.

"Funny, the damage a silly little book can do...especially in the hands of a silly little girl" Riddle said.

Y/n dropped the bow on the ground and grab Harry's hand from which he held the fang and like Harry read her thoughts he took the diary from Ginny's hand and opened it on the ground. Riddle took notice they these two were upto something.

"What are you two doing?" He asked

Harry and Y/n gripped the fang together while glaring at Riddle with murderous eyes. They plunged it hard on the diary.

"Stop NO!!!!" Riddle tried to stop them but it was too late.

There was long and dreamful scream. Ink from the diary spurted out. Harry and Y/n saw that the part of Riddle started to disappear. They plunged the fang again on the other side of the dairy. Riddle screamed loudly.

Harry left the fang in Y/n's hand and closed the book. Without any thought Y/n smashed the fand again on the cover of the book. Within few seconds, Tom Riddle's memory was gone. Y/n and Harry gasped for air. Both of them out to strength. They looked at each other and smiled.

"You did it, Harry" Y/n said proudly

"No, we did it" Harry replied.

Both of them smiled while looking at each other, noticing this familiar situation. Them remembered that this conversation was once done last year after coming back from the trap door.

Just then, Ginny woke up with a gasp. She looked around while laying down. She got up with some on her red hair colored with ink. She turned to find Harry and Y/n.

"Ginny??? Are you okay?" Y/n asked worriedly

"Y/n...It was me..But I swear, I didn't mean to. Riddle made and--" Ginny was cut off

"We know!!! Don't worry about anything, Ginny..okay?" Y/n smiled.

Ginny stayed quiet for few seconds and then replied "okay" with a small voice. She looked at Harry guiltily and saw it "Harry, you're hurt"

'Crap, I forgot' Y/n thought and looked back at Harry.

"Don't worry. Y/n, you two need to get yourselves out. You know where Ron is and---" Harry got cut off

"Do you really think of me as that  kind of friend??? Like hell I would leave you alone here!!!!"  Y/n disagreed and Grabbed Harry's shoulders.

"Just so you know... I have an idea what to do here" She replied sternly. Harry and Ginny got confused at her sentence. Y/n looked at the chamber of the gate and yelled "FAWKES!!!!"

Hearing her voice, Fawkes flew towards them with a musical chirp. He made his way towards Y/n and sat near her.  Y/n patted him on his head

"you were brilliant, Fawkes. I just wasn't quick enough" Harry smiled trying to keep himself conscious.

"I don't agree to that at all" Y/n said with playful voice. she turned to Fawkes and said softly "You know what to do right??? can you help me, here?"

Fawkes understood what she meant. He looked at Harry and his tears started to form. He ducked a little closer to Harry's wound and let his teardrops fall in it. After drops, Harry's wounds were completely healed.

"Of course!!! Phoenix tears have healing powers!! and you remembered ....Thanks....both of you" Harry said to Y/n and Fawkes

"Give the credits to Fawkes here... he's the one who saved us, didn't you?" Y/n asked Fawkes petting his beak. Fawkes let out a Happy chirp

"Its all right, Ginny" Harry told her "Its over"

"Its just a memory" Y/n smiled patting Ginny's arms. Suddenly,

"OHHH!!!!"

Y/n yelled out of nowhere. Ginny and Harry looked at her confusedly. "What?" They asked her

"Would you mind giving my wand back, Harry??? Its there, Look" Y/n pointed at her wand, a few steps away. Harry got up to pick up her wand. He came back and gave it to her.

"Locomotor Liberari " Y/n chanted and her legs which were stuck tightly together loosened. Y/n folded her legs and rubbed it feeling the presence of legs.

"Did Riddle use a leg-locking curse on you?" Ginny asked Y/n

"Yes, he did.... I forgot the counter-curse at that time. Riddle took the chance and confisticated my wand... I remembered the spell just now" Y/n smiled guiltily

Harry smiled as well. He was happy that Y/n's playful side was back. He got up and helped both the girls as well. They walked out of the Chamber of Secrets with Fawkes guiding them. Ginny was in front right behind Fawkes while Harry and Y/n were walking a few steps behind her.

"Y/n....can I ask you something" Harry asked breaking the silence between

"Sure.. no need to ask" Y/n nodded

"Why did Tom Riddle said that You'll have no choice but to join him?? what did he meant by that?" Harry asked which caught Y/n off guard

"Oh... I think....he said he wanted me to be.. by his side... He also said that he will make it happen even if he has to force me for it...." Y/n took a pause to think

"So, I might be wrong.. but, I guess, he was fond of me.. somehow?" Y/n explained shrugging

'who wouldn't?' Harry thought

"We're here!!" Y/n said to Harry and hurried towards Ginny. It was right where they separated with Ron

"Ron!!!!! ARE YOU THERE????" Y/n yelled

"Y/n!!!!! YES I AM HERE!! are you all okay!!??" Ron's voice came

"Yes!!!! We got Ginny!!" Harry yelled happily

"Come from here!!! I made a little way!!" Ron yelled and his steps walked over somewhere.

Harry, Y/n and Ginny followed his steps and found themselves at the corner of the wall.  Ron had made a little hole from where they could get through. Ron's eyes shined when he saw his sister.

"It might small but its all I could do.. the other rocks were really hard to move" Ron said insecurely

"Its great, Ron... we just need to duck a little while walking through it." Y/n smiled at him.

Harry and Y/n let Ginny go first. She ducked a little, trying not to hit her head on the hard rock. She successfully got through and the first thing that happened to her was that her saint brother crushed her into a hug muttered 'he's glad she's alright'.

Ginny always thought that Ron didn't really like her. He always made fun of her with other siblings. But Hearing him say that to her meant alot for Ginny. She hugged him back. Harry and Y/n also made their way on the other side of the barrier. They the siblings hugging each other. Both of them smiled.

Ron let Ginny go and made his way towards his friends and hugged them both together. Y/n was on his right side while Harry was on his left.

"Thank you so much!!!! You saved my sister!!" Ron hugged both of them tightly

"No Ron, Its team work" Y/n said hugging him back.

"Oh!!!! who are you all?" A voice came from the corner. Ron broke the hug.

"Professor Lockhart?" Ginny whispered. Y/n made her way towards her

"He's a fraud... don't be happy he's here." Y/n whispered to her.

"I knew he was fraud... somehow, Riddle made me realize that" Ginny said shyly. Y/n grinned back.

"What's that in both of your hands?" Ron gasped pointed at sword in Harry's hand and bow in Y/n's.

"We...just got it..of out nowhere" Y/n replied

'I really don't know what is this...how did it come to me??' Y/n thought while glancing down at bow.

"let's go before something happens again" Harry announced

"How will we go???? You're not saying to climb up the pipe, are you?" Ron raised his eyebrows.

"No...we have him for that" Y/n pointed at Fawkes behind her.

Fawkes grabbed Lockhart by his robes. Ron grabbed Lockhart's feet and held Ginny with his other hand. Harry grabbed Ron's leg and held out his hand for Y/n. She stared at his hand and then looked at him.

"we don't have all day now" Harry grinned sheepishly at her. Y/n smiled and took his hand.

Harry pulled her closer and asked "May I?".

Y/n understood he was asking if he could grab her. She nodded and Harry grabbed her waist. Fawkes begun to fly. Y/n gripped Harry's shoulder for support. Both Harry and Y/n blushed. None of them knew who's heartbeat was beating loudly. Their or the other ones. Ron looked down at both of them and grinned evilly. He was definitely gonna tease Harry about this.

Fawkes leaded them out of the chamber from the same way they came from. They reached back into the girl's bathroom. Myrtle flew towards them

"You both are alive" Myrtle said blankly to Harry and Y/n

"You didn't have to sound to disappointed" Harry chuckled

"Still. you visit me, won't you?" Myrtle asked Y/n while hiding her sobs

"Only if you won't throw water at me" Y/n smiled. Myrtle smiled back.

When Y/n first entered this bathroom last year, Myrtle had opened all the taps which made Y/n soak in water.

"Where now?" Ron asked and Harry pointed at Fawkes who was waiting for them to follow him

"Maybe Dumbledore's office" Y/n said and followed Fawkes with others behind her.

When they reached Dumbledore's office, Y/n held out held out her hand to knock but the door swung open. Dumbledore was sitting on his chair waiting for them.

"Please enter" Dumbledore smiled.

Y/n entered the room with Harry, Ron, Ginny and Lockhart. they stood in front of Dumbledore. None of them spoke until the door swung open again. To reveal Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey.  McGonagall was surprised to see Harry, Y/n and Ron there

"What did you three do now----" McGonagall stopped when she saw Ginny. Y/n smile guiltily at McGonagall.

Harry, Ron and Y/n told them all about what happened from the beginning of the year. How Harry and Y/n could hear the basilisk. How Y/n heard the about-to-be-victims. How Hermione found out about the basilisk. how they guessed about Moaning Myrtle and The gate of Chamber of Secrets. What happened in the Chamber of Secrets.About Tom Riddle and his diary. Ginny told her side of the story as well. She was crying but still completed her part.

"Poppy.. would you mind taking Ginny to the Hospital wing. Minerva.. write a letter to Mr. Weasley about this." Dumbledore said to the ladies

"Can you take him too?" Y/n pointed at Lockhart. Madam Pomfrey looked at Y/n confused.

"Oh.. He's a fraud and.....he also forgot about his existence" Y/n explained. Harry and Ron tried to stifle their laughter at Y/n's strange words.

Madam Pomfrey took Ginny and Lockhart with her and McGonagall left as well. Leaving the three Gryffindors with the headmaster. There was a silence between them. All three of them were looking down. They did break the rules.

"All three of you realize, of course...that in past few hours, you have broken perhaps a dozen school rules" Dumbledore said sternly

"Yes sir" Three of them replied together

"There is sufficient evidence to have you three expelled" Dumbledore said

"Yes sir" three of them replied in unison. Harry and Ron kept looking down but now Y/n held her head up.

"Therefore, it is only fitting, that you three receive.... Special Awards for Services to the School" Dumbledore smiled. Harry and Ron looked up in surprise while Y/n grinned

"Thanks, sir" Ron said smiling

"And Now. Mr Weasley...if you would.. have an owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban." Dumbledore passed a letter to Ron "I believe we want our gamekeeper back"

Ron left with the letters. then Dumbledore turned to Harry and Y/n.

"Harry, Y/n... First, I want to thank you two..  You must have shown me real loyalty down in the Chamber. Nothing but that could have called Fawkes to you.." Dumbledore said pointed at Fawkes "Or perhaps.... your love for him" Dumbledore said looking at Y/n.

"He has become very fond of you, Y/n" Dumbledore said and Y/n smiled shyly.

"And, second....I sense that something is troubling you.. Am I right, Harry?" Dumbledore asked

"Maybe, I'll go outside" Y/n said, about to walk away.

"No, Its all right... " Harry stopped Y/n and continued "Its just.... you see, sir, I couldn't help but notice certain things, certain similarities between ....Tom Riddle and me"

"I see....Well, you can speak Parceltongue, Harry, why?" Dumbledore asked, Harry stayed quiet

"Because Lord Voldemort can speak Parceltongue. If I'm not mistaken, Harry..... He transferred some of his powers to you, the night he gave you that scar" Dumbledore explained to Harry

"Voldemort transferred some of his powers to me?" Harry repeated the question

"Not intentionally, but yes.... Am I right, Y/n?" Dumbledore asked

"There's high chance of possibility" Y/n said hoping Dumbledore would get her hidden message. Luckily Dumbledore nodded.

"So the sorting hat was right. I should be in Slytherin" Harry said in slight disappointment

"Its true... You posses many of the qualities that Voldemort himself prizes. Determination, resourcefulness, and if I may say so, a certain disregard for the rules" Dumbledore smiled as well as Y/n but Harry didn't

"But, why, then, did the sorting hat place in Gryffindor?" Dumbledore asked and Harry looked at the sorting hat.

"Because I asked it to" Harry replied

"Exactly, Harry, Exactly.!! which makes you different from Voldemort. It is not our abilities that show what we truly are. It is our choices" Dumbledore told Harry and Y/n.

'Wise words...hits right on the spot' Y/n thought.

"If you want proof why you belong in Gryffindor....then I suggest you look more closely at this" Dumbledore said picking the shimmering sword and holding it out. Harry grabbed the sword while Y/n started at him with open mouth.

'Did He just grab the sword by the blade????? Forget about Gryffindor or Slytherin, I know why you're not a Ravenclaw' Y/n thought staring at Harry as he read aloud

"Godric Gryffindor."

"It would take a true Gryffindor to pull that out of the hat" Dumbledore smiled and Harry nodded. There was a knock on the door. And someone opened it from the outside

'About time' Y/n thought waiting for the older Malfoy to get in but surprisingly a head very familiar to Y/n peeped inside

"Mind if I come in, Professor?" Eric grinned. Y/n was shook to core not knowing why he was here

"Yes, You may come in, Eric" Dumbledore smiled.

Eric smiled back and entered the room. He was wearing his jet black suit with a long cream coat. He walked toward the others and bowed to Dumbledore as a greet. He turned to Y/n while a playful but, scary smile.

"I give you permission for playing some pranks and this is the first thing you do?" Eric asked Y/n. his strange expression never leaving his face "I should say.. I was caught......off guard "

The tone was enough to make Y/n gulp. She knew Eric was mad. But there weren't a single excuse she could think of.

"What did I say about telling each other before doing this kind of adventure???? Did you perhaps forgot?" Eric raised his eyebrow. Harry and Dumbledore quietly stood there. Not daring to interrupt.

"I----I told Jake" Y/n replied looking away

"You did???" Eric said and then sat on one knee to be on Y/n's eye level. "What about me?... Why didn't you tell me?" Eric asked in sudden worried and hurt voice

"You were already busy enough trying to help Hagrid and Professor Dumbledore.... I didn't want to put more on your shoulders" Y/n said guiltily "I didn't want to worry you"

"well.... It worries me more when I don't know what you're about to do... At least.. try to keep me upgraded, okay?" Eric said patting Y/n's head

"Anyway..... Good Job....both of you" Eric smiled to Y/n and Harry as he got up.

"Please tell me they aren't going to expel them?" Eric chuckled asking Dumbledore. Keeping his hands on Y/n's shoulder as he stood closer with Y/n, to the side wall leaving space in front of the table.

"No, I can't... they have done alot for school already..it won't be fair to do it" Dumbledore chuckled back.

Harry and Y/n smiled looking at each other. Then, the door swung open, revealing Lucius Malfoy... with Dobby behind.

"Dobby????So this is your master. The family you serve is The Malfoys" Harry chuckled. Lucius muttered something to Dobby

"Who is he?" Eric asked Y/n in whispering tone

"Dobby... Their house-elf.. He came to warn me and Harry at the beginning of the year.. he said we shouldn't come to Hogwarts." Y/n whispered back

"Where did he come to tell you?" Eric whispered asking

"The Mansion" Y/n whispered

"There was an another elf in my house and I didn't even knew about it?" Eric questioned whispering

"That's what you get for ignoring me when I said we need more security at the mansion" Y/n whispered as Lucius came closer. He pushed Harry away closer to Y/n and Eric with his stick.

"Out of my way, Potter... So.. its true. You have returned" Malfoy said unpleasantly.

"When the governors learned that Arthur Weasley's daughter was taken into the chamber, the saw fit to summon me back"  Dumbledore told him

"Ridiculous!!" Malfoy spat

"Curiously, Lucius, several of them...were under the impression that you would curse their family, if they did not agree to suspend in the first place" Dumbledore said

"I told you, we couldn't trust him" Eric said saying like it was obvious

"And...why are you..... always here?" Malfoy said to Eric, cleary not happy with Eric's presence

"You see Malfoy...... times like this..is where Aurors work..... This involved the school my niece and nephew go to....and once I did too.... Of course I had right to look into the case.. And Ministry was.. quite fond of the idea of letting me interfere" Eric smiled devilishly.

"Unlike you... who's so interested to break apart this school" Eric said

"How dare you!!!!!" Lucius said offendedly

"I beg your pardon?" Eric smirked

"My sole concern has always been and will always be... the welfare of this school and of course.." Malfoy looked at Harry and Y/n "Its students"

"The culprit has been identified, I presume?" Malfoy asked

"Yes" Dumbledore nodded his head

"And.... Who was it?" Malfoy questioned. Dumbledore looked at Eric.

"Voldemort" Eric stated.

"Ah" Malfoy said

"Only this time he chose to act through somebody else.. by means of this" Dumbledore showed the ruined diary

"I see" Malfoy replied

Dobby pointed at the diary and Lucius Malfoy. Harry, Y/n and Eric got what he meant.

"Fortunately, our young Mr. Potter and young Ms. Kim discovered it" Dumbledore said and Y/n noticed that Harry was still holding the sword by the blade.

"Will you please leave the blade and hold the sword properly?" Y/n whispered to him. Harry did what she told and held the sword properly.

"One hopes that no more of Lord Voldemort's old school things should find their way into innocent hands. The consequences for the one responsible would be....severe" Dumbledore said knowing exactly what his words were about

"Well, let us hope..." Lucius looked at Y/n and Harry. "That Mr. Potter and Ms. Kim will always be around to save the day" He glared at the kids...Harry to be exact

"Don't worry" Harry said

"We will be" Y/n completed. Eric smirked proudly behind them. Dumbledore smiled and looked at Malfoy

"Dumbledore" Malfoy nodded his head as a good-bye greet and Dumbledore nodded his head back.

"Come, Dobby.. we're leaving" Malfoy announced. As they walked forward, Malfoy kicked Dobby hard on the ground. Dobby yelped in pain and stood up to get another hit on his head as they walked out the room.

"Do people still treat the house-elves like that?" Eric said probably getting angry at Malfoy's behaviour towards Dobby.

Harry thought of an idea and kept the sword next to the bow which Y/n got.

"Sir...I wonder if I could have that?" Harry asked pointing at the diary. Dumbledore gave him permission. Harry looked at Y/n, asking if she could come with him.

"I'm sorry Mr.Potter... but she needs to stay here for a while." Eric smiled

At first, Y/n was confused why she had to stay but then realized it could be important. She turned to Harry.

"You go on and do your plan... tell me later how it went" Y/n smiled and Harry went.

WHen Harry left, Eric signed and said "Should we discuss what I came here for, Professor?" Eric asked

"Isn't it already done?" Y/n asked Eric

"Partly.... but that's not exactly why I came here" Eric told Y/n... "The reason.... is this" Eric said pointed at the bow.

"Oh.. If you're going to ask me, I should tell you....I don't know anything about that.. its the first time I'm seeing it" Y/n said and expected a confused/disappointed face but instead Eric smiled

"I know.... I'm here to tell you about this... " Eric took the bow and showed it to Y/n "This isn't some random bow or weapon.... its special..... look" Eric pointed at the edge of the string. There was something engraved there

'If you want something from the core of pure heart.... you're family will support and help you get it'

"What does this mean???wait---- is this?" Y/n said guessing

"Exactly... Our Great..... well, alot of 'great' - grandfather knew that there will be multiple times where we wouldn't have a wand to protect ourselves... So therefore... He made three weapons that only his descendants can use..." Eric explained

"But I got it when I was feeling useless and weak.." Y/n said

"Well...you wanted to do something really badly, didn't you?" Eric smiled and Y/n nodded. "That's why you got it.... "

"But... I'm not really a Kim" Y/n questioned

"The ancestors had accepted you as their descendants!!! do you know what I mean now!!??" Eric said frustratedly

"They have---- what now?" Y/n asked

"Only the ancestors of our family gets these three weapons which is well suited for them. You got one... trust me... this is the first time I'm seeing it" Eric explained admiring the bow

"You never saw it"? Y/n asked and Eric shook his head

"These things only come to us when we are worthy and powerful enough for it..you did what you were supposed to do... that's what I wanted... to accept your strength.. that is why you got this" Eric said pointed his head at the bow  "I'm truly proud that you did.." Eric smiling dearly at Y/n

'They.......accepted me?' Y/n thought smiling

After everything, It was all over now. The news about Ginny being behind all those attacks were all over the school. There were mixed reactions. Some disappointed that Harry wasn't behind them. some thinking really bad about Ginny. But most of them were happy that it was over now.. many of students comforted Ginny telling her it was not her fault. Ginny was thankful for that.

Students were now in the Great Hall enjoying  the about-to-happen feast. Y/n was excited to meet the person she missed the most. Many were greeting the Sir Nicholas as he was back as well. Harry was sitting between Y/n and Ron telling them about Dobby until Neville interrupt them.

"Y/n, Its Hermione!!!!" Neville said excitedly.

Y/n, Harry and Ron looked over at the gate to find her. Y/n's heart fluttered when she saw her best friend was back. The three of smiled at Hermione who happily grinned back. Hermione suddenly started running. Y/n got up on her feet with Harry and Ron following her doing the same.

Hermione ran all the way and hugged Y/n tightly as Y/n squeezed her back. Y/n was happy that Hermione was back.

"I missed you" Y/n whispered

"I missed you too" Hermione said and let go and went to Hug Harry as well. When she let Harry go, she was about to hug Ron who happily was about to hug her back but both of them stopped. Y/n grinned knowing well about this situation.

Ron cleared his throat and did an awkward handshake with Hermione "Welcome back Hermione" Ron said with red ears and nape.

"Its good to be back" Hermione replied blushing slightly as well. "Congratulations. I can't believe you solved it!"

"We had loads of help from you" Harry said

"We couldn't have done it without you" Ron completing the sentence.

"Thanks" Hermione smiled

"And.. I'm sorry for.... you know" Y/n shrugged guiltily.

"Its doesn't matter any more....So don't worry" Hermione replied and there was a glass clink

"Could I have your attention please?" McGonagall called out.

Y/n sat at her place between Harry and Jake while Ron and Hermione sat next to each other. Everyone saw Dumbledore stand up.

"Before we begin the feast...let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout, Madam Pomfrey whose mandrake juice has been so successfully administered to all who had been petrified" Dumbledore said and everyone clapped happily and just when Dumbledore was about to continue, a hand shot up in the air earning the teacher's as well some of the student's attention

"Yes, Ms.Kim?" Dumbledore asked as the hall fell silent.

"What about Professor Snape??" Y/n asked

"What?" Her classmates asked at her confusedly

"Oh.. I thought... He was the one who brew the Mandrake juice and made it powerful.... I just thought he was the part of the group" Y/n said awkwardly. Many of the students thought that she went crazy but then Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore smiled

"You are right, Ms.Kim... we were told not to mention him by himself, but as you're the one who did.. its no news now..so one more applause for Professor Snape!" Dumbledore said

Students clapped. even though most of them hated him, they still clapped for him as he too was a part of to recure petrified ones. Snape shook his head a little while looking at Y/n

'this girl' Snape thought... He might have kept a straight face but he felt a little happy inside.

"Also, in light of the recent events... as a school treat..... all exams have been canceled!" Dumbledore announced

Students yelled and clapped happily, except Hermione who was disappointed. Just then the door swung open that revealed Hagrid.

"Sorry, I'm late" Hagrid said and every single person at the great hall stared at him. Hagrid continued to walk inside

"The owl that delivered my release papers got all lost and confused... Some ruddy bird call Errol" Hagrid said looking at Ron.

Y/n chuckled as Ron looked at Dumbledore with a guilt smile. Dumbledore smiled back. Hagrid walked and stood in front of Harry, Y/n, Ron and Hermione.

"And I'd just like to say that if it hadn't been you Harry , Y/n and Ron.... and Hermione, of course...I would still be you-know-where... so I'd just like to say thanks" Hagrid smiled at the four.

Harry got up and said "There's no Hogwarts without you, Hagrid"

"There really isn't" Y/n said standing up as well. Hagrid beamed and both kids hugged him. Suddenly claps were echoing in the hall.

Everyone -except few- clapped for Hagrid and cheered for him as he was back. Hagrid was surprised at the attention as the kids approached him to shake hands with him. He couldn't help but to let his tears drop. He felt happy.

That night, everyone enjoyed but as the sun has to set.. The school did as well. They have reached the platform 9 3/4 which meant another year passed away.

Y/n and her friends experienced many things. Their bond grew deeper which made their friendship more stronger.

Y/n signed as she stepped onto the platform and saw Eric, Debbie and Dabon waiting for her and Jake. Y/n felt lighter than usual. She felt insecure about ruining the amazing history of kims... But now she felt relieved.. They had accepted her..it was time for her to truly accept them.

'There are untold mysteries about every family..  our family has one too.. It is something no one can know... its our job to protect the secret' Y/n thought

"I will protect it" Y/n said grinning

Y/n grinned happily as she walked towards her family.

DAMN! that took long...

Trust me, the chapter became bigger and bigger as wrote it. I honestly didn't think it would this long. But HERE IT IS!!!

I'm Sorry This took long, I accidently deleted most of this chapter instead of saving it. That's why it took long.

But Now The Chamber of Secrets is done.

As you know,next will be Prisoner of Azkaban, which I'm personally excited to write.
