3rd Person's POV
Y/n's summer were going lightly. She was enjoying her break after a tiresome year. But She knew that the holidays will soon be over before she notices it. She completed her whole homework on the first week of vacation, so she could enjoy rest of her holidays.
Y/n slept at 4:00 last night after binge reading 'Naruto Volume 16 & 17' and 'One Piece Volume 27 & 28'. All four Mangas were kept nicely at her nightstand. She wasn't planning to wake up early this time. If she wasn't awake, Debbie -their house elf- would cook breakfast for them. But the plan didn't work like that.
While sleeping, Y/n could feel something was near her. She woke up to find something hovering above her. Her eyes met big green ones which were staring at her happily. She was about to scream but stopped when she recognized who it was.
"Toothless????? I told you that you can't sit on the bed without wiping your feet!! It's the third time this week" Y/n groaned as her precious sleep was broken.
She slightly got up taking support of her elbows and stayed lying. She saw Toothless sitting on her bed right above her legs. His face was in front of Y/n. After Y/n returned from Hogwarts, Toothless refused to leave her alone. Just like Eric said, He really missed Y/n. At first, Y/n was happy by the attention she was getting. But now, she was staring at him fighting back her tired eyes who wanted to sleep for hours.
"Toothless... I know you love me and I love you too...but... You can't come here everyday.. you made a mess of my bed sheets yesterday.. it took 2 hours for Debbie and Dabon to clean it...." Y/n said in raspy voice.
Instead of a guilt face which Y/n was expecting. She was smug and proud face on Toothless's face. She crossed her eyebrows at him. Toothless pointed on the floor. Y/n saw a towel with brown spots, lying on the ground. She looked at Toothless who was waiting for Y/n to do or say something. Y/n smiled and hugged Toothless tightly.
"You wiped your feet!!!!! Good Job Buddy!!!! I'm proud of you!!!!" Y/n said laughing while Toothless was happy noises.
Y/n scratched underneath his neck, he made a low growl which meant he was enjoying it. After few minutes, Y/n finally got up properly and stretched her arms, yawning. Toothless got off her bed and sat on the ground ready to move. Y/n felt to lazy to move. She wasn't really a morning person.
"I'm not in the mood to walk...." Y/n muttered. She looked at Toothless as an idea popped in her mind. "You want to help me??" Y/n asked Toothless, he nodded happily with his teeth showing. "Can You carry me until I'm fully awake?" Y/n asked.
Instead of replying, Toothless used his tail to grab Y/n and settled her on his back. He trained himself for Y/n when she was gone in Hogwarts. He wanted to fly with her but He wasn't ready for it neither was Y/n. But she told him that they'll try it very soon. Toothless helped Y/n reached the bathroom in her room and after 45 minutes she came out. She was ready to walk but Toothless already settled Y/n on his back. He came out of Y/n's room and waited for Y/n to say they had to go.
"To the kitchen!!" Y/n playfully guided. Toothless begun walking.
The Hallway was empty, which meant the Jake and Eric were still sleeping. Faint noise of utensils were heard from downstairs in kitchen, Debbie was already preparing to cook Breakfast. Toothless and Y/n crossed Jake's room, the door was open. Y/n peaked inside to see Jake sleeping peacefully and surprisingly Pearl -Jake's Dragon- was there too. She was sleeping elegantly on the bedroom's bench.
"I sometimes wish I got Pearl instead.." Y/n muttered. When Toothless heard, he started walking elegantly like Pearl walks. Y/n noticed it and burst into laughing. She hugged Toothless from the back.
"But I'm happier I got you instead!!!!" Y/n said laughing. Toothless was happy by her words. he happily hurried downstairs. They saw Dabon cleaning the Living Room.
"G'Morning Dabon" Y/n greeted
"Good Morning My Lady..... and Toothless why are you in here when you don't clean your feet-----" Dabon was looking a little mad but then he noticed Toothless's shining feet. Dabon looked up "You cleaned your feet!!!! I'll give your favorite fruit today!!" Dabon said laughing, his big ears making flapping noise.
Toothless dropped Y/n in the Kitchen and laid on the sofa outside the Kitchen. Y/n Greeted Debbie who happily greeted back.
"What are we planning to make in breakfast??" Y/n asked wearing the apron.
"I actually thought to giving you the opportunity of choosing" Debbie said smiling sheepishly. Y/n thought for a moment.
"What about... Chocolate Waffles?? I think I'm craving for some" Y/n asked and Debbie nodded.
Both females started to prepare. After half an hour they ready to bake the waffles. Y/n turned to the door when she heard someone entering. It was Eric.
"What are we having today??" Eric asked flipping his hair as the droplets from the end of his hair flew away.
"Chocolate waffles" Y/n replied turning on the waffle maker.
"that's nice... Good Morning Honey" Eric said giving Y/n a peck on top of her head as she greeted back.
"Can I ask why both of the dragons are inside early in the morning??" Eric asked pouring himself his coffee.
"The weather is quite chilly and I think it might rain.. so I let both of them in" Debbie replied while setting the dining table.
"Nice job.. it's much better to have them inside than outside... It will spare us some risk" Eric said sitting on chair as he kept his coffee on the table.
"Yeah... We have quite rich Muggles here.. They are cool though" Y/n said giving Eric his plate. Eric stared at his plate.
"Y/n..... answer honestly.. how are you so good at cooking?" Eric asked
"You're seriously asking that now???" Y/n chuckled "I've been here for 2 years now"
"I know..but you never fail to surprise me with your cooking skills.. I mean.. how can a little girl like you be so good at this?" Eric said taking bite of his food
"I may be in the body of a 12 year old but I'm almost 18..mentally" Y/n said making a new batch of waffles.
"That might be true..but your skills are no less than a professional." Eric said praising. "There must be a reason for that"
"Indeed there is.... You remember when I told you about Wendy.. the one who took care of me like an older sister?" Y/n asked and Eric nodded
"She owns a Café... I supported her by working there as a part-time chef... but before I knew it... I became the Head of that Department" Y/n said placing the waffles on a plate
"Okay.. but how does that give an explanation of your cooking skills??" Eric asked raising his eyebrows.
"oh.. it doesn't... I was just born with my skills" Y/n smiled sheepishly. Eric and Debbie laughed. They saw someone entering the Kitchen
"Look who decided to wake up!" Eric said taunting Jake
"Good Morning to you too" Jake replied unpleasantly and he sat on the chair. Toothless and Pearl also entered the Kitchen with Dabon.
Y/n gave waffles to Jake. She pulled out two big bowls from the cabinet and dropped berries in both of them. She gave it to Toothless and Pearl near the dining table. Both of them smiled at her.
"Y/n.. you can sit and have breakfast as well.. I'll make some for Dabon and myself now" Debbie said pushing Y/n towards her chair
"Are you sure?? I can make that for you" Y/n said but Debbie didn't listen. She took Y/n's apron and gave her breakfast.
After few minutes, She and Dabon joined others. The family of seven ate together enjoying their time.
A month later
Eric was having a headache which wasn't leaving him alone, following him everywhere. In the Kitchen, the study, hallway. He first tired to ignore it saying 'okay' for few days but the 'headache' wasn't listening today.
"I still don't understand... what changed your mind that now you want a puppy???" Eric said walking in the living room
"That doesn't matter!!! I want puppy..like why can't I have one??? they're loyal and so adorable!!" Y/n said following Eric
"That is exactly what I'm talking about... You never once mentioned them..I don't get what made you want one" Eric said sitting on the couch. Y/n sat next to him and was about say something but Jake cut her off.
"We went to talk a walk few days ago. She saw a muggle walking with his Golden Retriever. She played with him and he liked her as well... maybe thats why" Jake said sipping his lemon tea.
"That explains" Eric replied
"Yeah.. even the owner like her" Jake said right away
"What owner?" Eric asked
"The one who took his dog out for a walk... he paid attention on Y/n alot" Jake replied
"Stop with unnecessary talk!!! Uncle..now you know the reason too... let me have one.. I'll ask McGonagall for the permission to take them at Hogwarts" Y/n said
"No, Y/n I can't let you have a dog.." Eric said massaging his temples
"Why not?" Y/n asked
"You have the prettiest owl and I gave a Dragon for God's Sake!!!!.. Why in the world you want a puppy????" Eric said leaving Y/n speechless.
"If that made you realize the reason of my declination... I have somewhere to be at" Eric stood up
"Where?" Jake asked
"The Ministry of Magic.. they need me for......."Eric stopped to think the perfect word "something" Eric replied wearing his coat
"When you'll be back?.. We got our Hogwarts letter this morning, We need to go to Diagon Alley" Jake questioned
"It might take long but I'll be back at night.. so don't wait for me, have dinner by yourselves and Y/n... I signed your consent letter for Hogsmeade Village... Love ya Honey" Eric patted her head and left Y/n dumbfounded.
"You're really bad a convincing someone" Jake said sipping his tea.
Later that evening. The Kids ate their dinner and slept peacefully. Waking up Y/n saw that it raining outside, near her window she saw Toothless sleeping soundly on the sofa. It was nice, warm and cozy inside the bedsheets.
"10 more minutes won't hurt" Y/n muttered and dived into a deep sleep.
Y/n slept soundly without interruptions. Even Toothless felt sleepy, he didn't plan to wake Y/n up either. Y/n had sent Haru to give Harry's birthday present. She gave him A Premium Cleaning set for a Broomstick. But Haru wasn't back yet. Y/n's sleep was broken when someone shook her.
"Y/n... Y/n.. wake up" Y/n opened her eyes to see Debbie tip toeing on floor so she could reach Y/n.
"Is something wrong?" Y/n said closing her eyes again
"No.. But wake up and have breakfast.. I made sandwiches" Y/n heard Debbie
"If that's all then I'll have it later" Y/n said hiding herself in blanket.
"But Y/n I already let you sleep for two extra hours!!" Debbie said and Y/n peaked from the blanket opening one eye.
"two hours?" Y/n asked "I thought I slept for 10 minutes now"
"10 minutes??? that impossible because I came to wake you up two hours ago but I let you sleep because you looked peaceful but you need to wake up and eat breakfast or you'll might catch fever on this fever" Debbie said opening the curtains fully.
Completely in confusion, Y/n sat on her bed combing her short hair with her hands. She yawned and saw Debbie struggling to wake Toothless up. Y/n felt something was wrong. Deep inside, she knew she did something embarrassing, but she couldn't remember.
"Hey, Debbie.... Did I something...... unusual ..... yesterday??" Y/n asked hoping she didn't do anything even though she still was very sleepy.
"I won't say unusual.. but you were acting a little strange.. you gave Master Eric a headache for the first time since you arrived... all that for a cute little puppy " Debbie said fixing Y/n's bed.
"Puppy???? headache??I think I just asked for it nicely" Y/n said standing up on the bed and walking towards Toothless. She sat on the sofa he was sitting on.
"Nicely?" Debbie chuckled "You were practically ready to throw fits for it" Debbie said and Y/n's jaw dropped
"Crap!!! I need to apologized for that" Y/n said hiding her face in her palms and Debbie chuckled
"I don't think you have to.. it was just your mood swings.. its really normal for your age afterall" Debbie said and walked out of the room
"What?" Y/n said looking around to find her room empty. "What did she say?" Y/n muttered and went to her bathroom.
When the shower finally woke Y/n up, she got ready and went downstairs with Toothless behind her. At the staircase, She saw Jake and Pearl were also walking downstairs. Jake noticed his sister and waited for her to catch up with him.
"You over slept today?" Jake asked as Y/n reached him, they stared walking.
"Yeah.. Did Uncle come back?" Y/n asked
"I don't know...I didn't hear him yet" Jake replied as both of reached the kitchen. Both of them took their seat.
"Which sandwich you made Debbie?" Jake asked
"Egg and Bacon" Debbie replied warming the lemon tea for both of the kids.
"oohhh" The siblings cooed as Debbie made their favorite type.
"Dabon and I ate already.. so you two can have all you want" Debbie said placing the plate of sandwiches in front of Jake and Y/n. Both of them took one each and begun eating.
"Did Uncle come back yet?" Y/n asked munching her food
"Yes.. He did last night. He was looking very exhausted, so we[her and Dabon] didn't bother him at all... he got loads of work after Sirius Black escaped... How can someone run away from Azkaban!!" Debbie said
"Don't talk about Sirius Black like that, Debbie... I don't allow it" Y/n said sternly and Debbie understood, because Y/n ordered her. The Kims only do that when the matter is serious. Debbie was feeling happy from inside since Y/n got this trait.
"Not Guilty?" Jake asked Y/n, asking about Sirius Black.
"Not Guilty" Y/n replied and continued to eat.
"You have O.W.L.S this year, right?" Y/n asked Jake who nodded "Then Why I don't see you studying for it?"
"I'll begun to study when I'll reach Hogwarts" Jake replied and Y/n chuckled
After eating, Both Jake and Y/n shifted to Living Room. They were watching Television. Y/n finally stopped fearing it. Because last time she watched TV ,she got sunk into different Universe. For Two years. No one in the Kim Mansion watched TV thinking it might happen to them. But now it was alright.
As they were enjoying 'Scooby-doo - Where Are You?' they heard someone walk downstairs. They turned to see Eric in his night-suit with long night coat.
"Good Morning" Y/n said sarcastically knowing well that it was afternoon now. Jake muted the TV and turned to Eric
"You don't want a puppy now?" Eric replied to Y/n with same level of sarcasm as her.
"I want to apologize for that.. I don't why I was acting so childish" Y/n looked away from Eric
"Its alright" Eric patted her head and sat on the sofa. "Mood swings are fine for your age.. Your puberty is started after all.. damn, Kids grow fast" Eric said taking the lemon tea from Debbie.
"Puberty?" Y/n chuckled "Why would I have puberty??? I'm 18" Y/n laughed but Eric and Jake stared at her a smile making her stop
"Your 18 mentally honey... but did you perhaps.. forgot that you're 12?" Eric said to her and Y/n realized
"Noooooo!!" Y/n groaned "Not that again!!"
"Oh, Stop the drama... its not like you going to fight a troll" Jake scoffed
"Okay, First - You're not the one who's PMS could start any moment from now on and Second - I did fight a troll and still won " Y/n snapped back.
"Nice one" Eric said doing a high five with Y/n. "Okay, I received an invitation and I have to go there and Y/n you're going to accompany me there"
"What would you need me for, Why can't Jake go?" Y/n asked
"Jake can't go because..." Eric signed and continued "Its an event where I need to bring a partner with me"
"So, take a lady-you-know with you, why bother me?" Y/n questioned
"I would ,if I had someone." Eric replied and Y/n mouthed 'oh'.
"But I do know you so you're going with me.. I brought the dress you're going to wear, so get ready in 2 hours and then we need to leave. And Jake, Go to Diagon Alley with Dabon and get all the stuff you and Y/n are going to need this year okay? " Eric said and Jake nodded
"I'm going to take a bath, you take help from Debbie to get ready, okay?" Eric said to Y/n and left.
"Which new subject you chose this year?" Jake asked
"Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies and Ancient Ruins " Y/n replied
"Why not Arithmancy?? " Jake asked raising his eyebrow
"It felt like Math..so, I don't like it" Y/n stood up stretching
"But, I thought you said you got A's in all subjects at your school in your universe" Jake muttered
"I did.. even in mathematics.. but Just because I'm good at it doesn't mean I have to like it" Y/n said went to get ready.
Y/n didn't feel pleasant that she had shower again on this chilly weather, but she had to. She came out of the bathroom wearing bathrobe and saw Debbie already waiting for help her get ready.
"We don't have much time now!!! we need to get you all dressed up before Master Eric!!" Debbie said urgently.
"Debbie its been 15 minutes since Uncle told me that he and I have to go" Y/n said nonchalantly
"That's what I'm talking about, we cannot waste time" Debbie said pushing Y/n towards her closet.
Y/n pulled out the railing from the edges of mirrors top which was attached with the closet. She pulled the railing and connected it with the other corner of mirror.
"Where's the dress Debbie???" Y/n asked turning back to find Debbie already sliding a mannequin.
Y/n's jaw dropped while she gazed at the dress. Debbie slided the mannequin closer to Y/n
"This is the dress I'm going to wear??" Y/n asked admiring the dress.
"Yes... Now you'll believe me.. I told you Master Eric has great fashion sense" Debbie said happily, her ears flapping.
After Y/n wore the dress, which surprisingly perfectly fitted her. Debbie made Y/n sit on her bed and brought a small bag with her. Debbie opened the bag and pulled out something from it. Y/n noticed and stopped Debbie
"Debbie, wait... I don't I should apply make-up.. My skin is still little young for that" Y/n said nervously. Even in her world, Y/n never really liked make-up for two reasons. First because she didn't knew how to apply any of the make-up products and second , that she was the type to wear it lightly only on special event.
"But.. This won't hurt your skin.. its made for younger generations and I made it myself" Debbie replied
"You made it??" Y/n asked again and Debbie nodded. "Okay then...just not too much"
Debbie gave Y/n a light make-up which looked perfect for Y/n. After that, using a little magic, Debbie did a hairstyle for Y/n.
After that, Y/n was allowed to look at herself in the mirror. When she did, she was speechless.
'I actually look good' Y/n thought while twirling a little ,checking herself out.
"Debbie. I'm going to call you next year  to help me get ready" Y/n said smiling
"Next year?" Debbie asked confusedly.
"You'll know" Y/n chuckled and kept looking at herself and soon realized that something was missing.
"1 hour and 30 minutes and you're already ready!! Let's go downstairs. I think Master Eric is also ready." Debbie said and started walking. Y/n stopped Debbie.
"Debbie wait!!" Debbie stopped and turned to Y/n "You're forgetting this" Y/n said showing the Violet hairclip held between her index finger and thumb. Y/n smiled at Debbie.
"I'm sorry.. I forgot" Debbie chuckled and went towards Y/n. She clipped the hairclip on the knot of the bow. Since the clip was not so big, it fitted perfectly.
"I'm truly impressed that you never fail to wear this" Debbie said and she jumped down from Y/n bed.
"How can I?? Uncle said I should wear this clip everytime plus.. I like it... alot" Y/n smiled. The Clip was Irene's, Y/n supposed to be mother. well... foster mother.
"Let's go downstairs now.. Master Eric might be waiting" Debbie said walking out of the room. With a last glance at herself, Y/n walked out of the room.
She carefully walked down the stairs, trying her best not to trip and ruin this amazing dress. She saw Jake was on the couch watching 'Courage : The Cowardly Dog'. She went towards him and sat next to him.
"You look pretty" Jake smiled at Y/n when he looked at her. "Here, I made hot chocolate, its little warm now" Jake said passing a mug to Y/n. She noticed that Jake was drinking it too. After few minutes, Y/n heard someone come downstairs. She turned to look Eric walking downstairs wearing
Y/n raised her eyebrows. Even if Y/n accepted that Eric was her family, she never once missed a change to sense his attractiveness.
As Eric came downstairs, Y/n stood up and walked towards him. Eric looked at Y/n with Impressed face.
"Wow!!" Eric said smiling brightly
"Thanks" Y/n said beaming
"Oh.. I was talking about the dress I chose" Eric said as he reached her. Y/n stared at him with 'really?' look. Eric laughed "I'm just Kidding... You look great as always"
"It is just me or.. you two have matching outfits?" Jake asked looking at both Y/n and Eric
"Come on, Jake. She's my date tonight, of course we'll be wearing something similar" Eric said and took Jake's cup and drank the Hot Chocolate.
"So, How are we gonna go? Its still raining" Y/n said looking at the giant window.
"They said that they'll come here to pick us up in..." Eric said looking at his watch "Oh. now" Just as Eric said and loud noise come from the main door. Eric, Y/n and Jake walked towards the door and saw that a beautiful royal horse cart was waiting for them.
" We're going to ride this?" Y/n said excitedly
"Yes, honey.. apparently the host of the party is well... very rich" Eric said and cleared his throat. "Now.. may I?" Eric asked Y/n extending his hand so Y/n could take it.
Y/n chuckled and said "Sure" while holding his hand.
Both of them sat inside the cart which locked itself as they took their seat. The Horse cart started. Y/n peaked through window and waved Jake 'bye'
"Have fun you two!!" Jake said waving back at Y/n
"Don't forget to buy me my SNACKS----!!!" Y/n screamed at the end because the cart started flying instead of running on the streets.
"Wh--wh-- why are we flying?" Y/n said sitting back at her place. She grabbed the cushion near her tightly
"Well.. its little far from our mansion..so they gave what think was the best for us" Eric replied calmly
"What about the muggles?? Is it safe.. I mean.. we live around muggles" Y/n asked anxiously
"No one except a wizard is able to see this cart, except them no one can even see someone one entering this" Eric replied and he relaxed on his seat. Since flying was not new to Y/n, she too relaxed.
After half an hour, the cart landed. Y/n and Eric came out to see that it stopped in front of a very big mansion. Y/n admired the place, she also saw that many people in different kinds of robes were entering.
"Let's go" Eric said and begun walking with Y/n.
After an hour, Y/n found herself getting used to this event. Many of the wizards and witches came to greet her. She finally knew the people who were sending her gifts on Christmas. She was standing alone near a pillar covered with flowers. She saw Eric come towards her with two glasses in his hands.
"Here, They were almost out of orange juice" Eric said passing the class to Y/n. They stood together watching around
"so.." Eric said and Y/n turned to look at him. "let's begin the work what we really came here for"
"What do you mean work?" Y/n asked
"Honey.. as part of our family.. you need to be the Auror.. you know that right?" Eric asked
"yes.. I know that" Y/n replied
"For that.. you need preparations" Eric said sipping orange juice
"Preparations?? Uncle, I didn't even gave O.W.L.S yet" Y/n said with a smile
"Exactly.. Honey.. you know about our world better than anyone new... How many female Aurors you think you remember?" Eric asked and Y/n opened her mouth to say the number but stopped. Y/n crossed her eyes realizing
"See?? There aren't many female Aurors... That's why you need to know what and who is good or not" Eric explained
"But..why me?? Why not Jake?" Y/n asked and Eric signed
"Jake will be able to handle the studies and work.. but you honey" Eric said
'Does he think I'm weaker than Jake?' Y/n thought feeling slight hurt
"Y/n.. you need to be ten times better than Jake.... he's older than you so he has a little more experience but... I don't really want that." Eric said
"I'm gonna teach you everything I know so none of this 'Men' who think women shouldn't be An Auror, won't get a chance to point out your mistakes." Eric said
"There are people like that in wizarding world too?" Y/n said raising her eyebrows
"Yes there are.. Irene went through alot to become a decent Auror.. I don't want any of that happen to you.. Don't tell this to Jake but You're my favorite one" Eric grinned and Y/n chuckled happily
"Plus.. it'll be better for you if you learn who you trust and.." Eric stopped "who you shouldn't" Eric said looking down
"Why am I having a feeling that you're talking about Sirius Black??" Y/n said a little loudly. A group a ladies turned looked with horrified expression
"I'm sorry for that" Eric apologized to the ladies. "You shouldn't yell out a criminal's name who escaped from Azkaban!! Many People are scared of him" Eric whispered to Y/n
"Don't call him a 'criminal'!!!" Y/n said with slight anger tone
"Well, isn't he?" Eric asked
"And You believe that?"Â Y/n questioned back.
"Well I--- I don't want to" Eric signed and leaned against the pillar behind him. "He was my friend... a very good one.. and Its hard to believe he would do something so horrible." Eric said sadly
"I don't know if I should tell you but I'm going to risk it all... Sirius Black isn't the one who did all that stuff" Y/n whispered to Eric
"What?!" Eric said loudly earning the attention around them
"We're sorry" Y/n chuckled "Yes!! He's been framed for something he didn't do.. he's innocent" Y/n said and she noticed a smile on Eric's face
"Thank god" Eric muttered "So, Back to work, any questions?" Eric asked
"Yeah... Why are you invited here?" Y/n asked
"Well, I saved the life of the owner of this house.. So, as 'thank you' they invite me to every party they host" Eric replied "Now look, see the couple near the piano?"
Y/n looked around and saw a couple with blonde lady and brunette man talking to each other. Y/n nodded
"They are Wilsons.. Very kind people.. They have the best medication. Any injuries, go to them, they fix it in blink of an eye" Eric said
"Like Madam Pomfrey" Y/n said
"Yup!!! Now.. Look near the giant vase.. the black haired ones, see them?" Eric asked and Y/n nodded
"They're the people you need to avoid.. they are followers of Voldemort but because of their status.. it'll be rude to not invite them at any rich event.. I believe, they'll hex the nice and pureblood wizards if they do not have relations with them" Eric said and was about to continue but Y/n stopped him as she saw a familiar face
"Is that Lucius Malfoy?" Y/n asked. Eric followed her gaze and saw the white haired
"Yeah.. I was finding that little ferret" Eric chuckled evilly
"Come to think of it.. You do bother him alot and he doesn't seems to like you too.. what did you do.. I mean.. why is that?" Y/n asked
"Malfoy and I were in same year.. He was a Slytherin as you know.. He was my friend but then he broke our friendship because he found out I had Muggleborn friends... and I tease him for that." Eric chuckled as well as Y/n
"At my second year, Suho joined Hogwarts and became friends with James and everyone else.. Soon after that, I begun to stay with him and his friends.. Malfoy didn't like that as well" Eric chuckled
Y/n sensed that Eric was feeling sad right now but he won't show it, so she quickly changed the subject.
"Who do you think he came with?" Y/n asked pointed her head at Lucius
"Probably his wife.. they are often invited to these type of Summer Balls." Eric replied
Just then, the calm music changed. Y/n didn't knew much about music but she knew that this a 'head-bopping' sound. She saw Eric smile
"I totally forgot about that" Eric said smiling. he fixed his coat
"Forgot what?" Y/n asked
"That this is a Summer Ball...and that.. you need to dance in it" Eric said taking Y/n's glass and he placed it on table near him. He dragged Y/n towards the Dance area
"But, that doesn't mean we have to!" Y/n said letting Eric drag her
"Its a rule!!" Eric chuckled
"But I don't know the formal dance!" Y/n complained. Eric stopped and turned to Y/n
"I know how to... Just follow my lead.. you'll learn soon, its not that hard." Eric said and started teaching the steps to Y/n.
After few moments, Y/n learnt the routine and now was dancing like a pro. As both of them dance, Y/n dress shimmered catching attention. But she was for too busy to notice it.
"You're doing great keep it up because now we change partners" Eric said
"We change what now??" Y/n asked but Eric already twirled her, before she knew, she was in someone else's arms who was a little taller than her. She looked up to see who the person was.
"Malfoy??" Y/n said with shocked eyes
"Kim?" Draco said wearing the same expression as Y/n.
"What are you doing here?" Both of them asked in Unison. After realizing their same words, they smiled
"I came here with my Uncle" Y/n replied as she continued to dance with Draco
"I came here with father" Draco replied as well.
None of them talked after that. It was awkward for both of them. They never really talked at Hogwarts and Y/n's best friend Harry and Draco basically were enemies. Y/n and Draco kept dancing Silently.
As Y/n was shorter and was looking away. Draco stared at her features. Her curves were slightly forming, Draco could feel that since his hand was on her waist. He could smell the refreshing orangey and minty scent coming from Y/n.
'She looks beautiful' Draco thought staring at Y/n
Y/n could feel that Draco was staring at her. She looked up and directly met his gray eyes. Draco looked away with slight pink cheeks. Y/n looked at him. His platinum blond hair was resting nicely on his forehead. His bangs separated a little. She knew he was gonna look good starting from 3rd year but she didn't expect to see him this soon.
The routine part where they had to change their partners came. Y/n was ready to perform the step but Draco didn't let her go. Instead he dragged her a little away from the circle they were dancing in.
"Malfoy, we were supposed to--" Y/n got cut off
"I don't want to" Draco stated. Y/n stared at him
"Look Kim. Is there a possibility that we forget however we are at school and give each other a nice company tonight?" Draco tonight as both of them joined the circle again and kept dancing.
"What?" Y/n asked
"I know your friend is enemy of mine but Can You forget that tonight? You're the only one I know here. except for my father who seems very busy to look out for me...I just hope I could have a good time tonight" Draco signed
"Okay.." Y/n said and Draco looked at her
"Its fine... you too are the only one I know here... So why not?" Y/n smiled at Draco who smiled back.
This time, Draco and Y/n stopped dancing and took a seat near the dance area. They talked to each other and found out they have similar taste. For the first time, Draco was having fun. true fun.
"No.. But that git was just a show off!!! I just didn't know what ladies saw in him" Draco said chuckling as both of them somehow ended up talking about Lockhart.
"His face" Y/n replied "And guess what, he wasn't even handsome. I saw a wig on his desk in his office! god knows what else that man hiding" Y/n said and Draco chuckled. They heard a glass clink.
"Its time for dinner!!" A Lady who was looking gorgeous smiled at everyone. Her eyes met Y/n's and Draco's "Oh! and younger ones.. you get a table for yourselves!!"
Y/n and Draco stood up. Y/n looked around the crowd and her eyes spotted Eric who looking for her. Y/n told Eric to go and join others. Eric was confused why Y/n told him that, so he looked behind her to see Draco. Eric's Jaw dropped and someone dragged him happily with them.
"He look surprised" Draco grinned
"Well.. You're not the person I talk alot to" Y/n grinned back.
Both of them joined other teenagers. There were few. Y/n and Draco sat next to each other. Y/n smiled politely at others. Girls smiled back while boys blushed making Draco slightly glare at them. All of them started eating
"Who was her??? the lady?" Y/n asked taking a bite of chicken breast
"The Hostess, She's the wife of the host. Look, there" Draco said pointed towards a couple. Y/n looked at them and knew they were the hosts of this Summer Ball. They were looking ravishing.
While eating, Y/n noticed something. She looked at the place and realized what was happening. She wanted to tell Draco as well.
"Hey, Look there" Y/n nudged Draco who followed her gaze. He saw a Man -not so old- standing towards a vase.
"What's there to look at?" Draco asked Y/n confusedly
"That man.. he's nervous.. he wants to ask a women for a dance but he got nervous" Y/n said
"What in the world are you talking about?" Draco asked confusedly.
"Tch... Its called observation!! now keep quite, I want to know who he wants to ask" Y/n said
"How is possible to know---" Draco got cut off
"The red one!!!!! Oh, I got to say he has good taste" Y/n said excitedly.
"Why are you so sure? it could be anyone" Draco said
"It could but.. He's staring at once every 30... 40 seconds.. that's got to be her" Y/n told Draco
"Okay.. then what does your 'observation' say?? if he asks, will she say yes?" Draco asked smirking at Y/n, challenging her. Y/n smirked back and looked at the lady in red gown.
"hmm.. color of her dress says she's elegant type... The way she talks is" Y/n stopped mid-sentence to look at her. "rude???" Y/n gasped earning attention around the table "She'll say no"
"Well, you shouldn't judge that, she could say yes" Draco said
"There's 94% of chances she'll say no" Y/n turned to look the man "No, wait! where are you going?? Don't go!! She'll say no!! " Y/n yelled in whisper tone.
"Wait, stop, let's see if you're right" Draco said and Y/n stayed quite
They saw the man approached the women in red gown. he bowed a little and said something. The women in red just stared him. Draco and Y/n held their breaths looking at them. The women in red started laughing. She shook her head laughing and the man walked away from her.
"What kind if magic is that!!??" Draco asked being impressed
"Women power" Y/n replied chuckled and Draco got confused
"I'm a girl, Draco.. I know these things" Y/n smiled and continued to eat. She was waiting for a savage comeback or even just a laugh but she got nothing in return. She looked at Draco and saw that his cheeks were flaming red. His ears were red too. Y/n didn't realized what she did
"What?" She asked him
"You.. You called me by my first name" Draco said looking away.
Y/n turned red, this wasn't in her plans. She was lost for words. Luckily someone came to rescue her.
"Y/n.." She turned to find Eric. He glanced at Draco and then looked at Y/n. "We're going to stay here tonight.. Mr. & Mrs. Burton wants us to stay and want to meet you too, so after" Eric glanced at Draco "come find me, okay?" Eric said and Y/n nodded. So Eric left.
"Looks like the night is about to end" Draco muttered but Y/n couldn't catch what he said.
"So, Are you friends or not?" A girl with blue hat sitting opposite Y/n asked
"We won't say that" Draco and Y/n said together
"What? But you two seem like you have known each other for long time" A boy next to Y/n asked
"We are classmates... But we never really talked" Y/n replied
"Why is that?" A blonde girl asked
"Her friends and I are not in good terms.." Draco replied "Don't ask any other questions because Its none of your business." Draco spat like he does at Hogwarts. Y/n smiled at that.
After dinner. Many of the guests started leaving. Y/n told Draco that she's going to find Eric, he suggested to escort her. He really didn't want to say goodbye yet. After few minutes, Y/n found Eric grinning playfully at Lucius. Older Malfoy on other hand looked annoyed. Both men noticed their children.
"See?? I told you that both of them were together.. You never believe me" Eric said in faked sad tone.
"Draco?? I thought I told you to stay close to me" Lucius said strictly
"You were busy with other wizards, so I thought I could just have my own time" Draco replied.
"So, Now you talk back to me?" Lucius raised his eyebrow. Eric and Y/n noticed tension, so they decided to stay away.
"Oh, Malfoy, let him be.. He's a kid!" Eric said trying to relax the situation.
"Mr. Kim.. Would you mind?" A Man with blue robes asked nodding towards a group he was standing with.
"Look's like they want me to join ... Accompany me, Malfoy" Eric said
"What--" Lucius's words were cut off when Eric dragged him without hearing anything.
"That's why Father said he isn't fan of Eric Kim.." Draco muttered
"Said something?" Y/n asked as she couldn't hear. Draco shook his head. There was an awkward silence between them. Y/n decided to speak up.
"Um.. I want to say.. I'm sorry" Y/n said breaking the silence making Draco confused with her words. "We weren't supposed to act like 'how were are at school' but.. somehow.. that's exactly what I did... I acted like I do everytime.. sadly.. not to you.." Y/n smiled guiltily.
"But... I had very nice time tonight... thanks to you" Y/n replied grinning.
"I had fun too" Draco said smiling.
Y/n extended her hand for hand shake, Draco shook it. They saw that Eric and Lucius were walking towards them.
"we're going, Draco" Lucius said and walked away with Draco following him. Y/n waved at Draco, who nodded.
For First time, Draco wanted to spend more time at parties he always hated. He wanted to spend more time with Y/n. He finally understood why Y/n was popular all over the school, he just never really noticed it. He knew he wanted Y/n in his life as his friend.
'It would be good' Draco thought as he imagined spending time with Y/n.
Later that night, Y/n and Eric ate Ice Cream with Mr. & Mrs. Burton who somehow really liked Y/n. She felt like they were her fans or something. But Y/n had fun. She could not wait for year awaiting for her.

Here's the first chapter for 'The Prisoner of Azkaban'
I wanted to tell you all that. My final exams are starting next week. So I will be taking 2 weeks break until I continue the next chapter.
I'm sorry to all who were looking forward, but I need to study even if I don't really want to.
But as soon as my exams are over, I swear to Merlin's bread that I'll update 2 times a week.
